Ok, sign up for the 2012 Debater's League is officially closed.

Now, since this tournament is only going to work if the brackets are filled properly, we need 16 total debaters. Since we have 18, it looks like everyone is going to get a pre-show glimpse of how this all works. Can we say, "Triple-Threat Debate"??

The final three entrants (Mitch Hennessey, Johnny Gunnz, and IHW) are going to take part in a preliminary three-way debate for the final spot in the tournament. The debate will begin this Friday at 4pm EST in the new Debater's League section on the forum.

I just hope i get through this Triple Threat for the last entry. I have not read any of the previous debates yet and my challengers look like stiff competition. But i'm confident in my debating ability. I'm ready to rock!

Appreciate the kind words but you guys have Mitch in this thing and he is a BEAST. Probably one of the top posters on this forum without being bold or underlined.

And I'd like to thank everyone else for complimenting my idea of having a triple threat for the final bracket spot. This League was my first and has always been my only baby on WZ when it comes to tournaments. I want to make it as fun as possible.

Keep your eyes out for surprises as the league goes on. But as of now, we have our lineup. Thanks to everyone that joined and sorry to those who missed the deadline.

Don't worry, I'll make you and everyone proud. Like I said in my application, I know what it takes to win a debate because I was on that side once so I expect that everyone will bring their A game. I look forward to reading the debates and I guarantee everyone, and I'm only saying this because I saw it came up in the ask a question thread, that I will be judging based on your performances on the debates and only that. Sure, I may think certain posters are great, but if they don't put the work in and they think they're going to coast by then they are mistaken. I won't give anyone a win just because of who they are.

So if you're not very well known, you have absolutely nothing to worry about with me. Everyone is going to be on an equal playing field so like I said, I hope ya'll bring your A game!

I don't mind I wasn't selected as a judge, but I would have probably entered as a debater had I known in advance.

If Crock and Black Dynamite would have entered, that would have taken the total upto 20 and another bracket could have been created. But that is up to the organizers to decide.

Mitch and DirtyJose are definately going to be the men to beat closely followed by HHF. May the best debater win.

I'm putting all you fucks on notice (No exception because I don't bold names like a little bitch): Last year, I just wanted to debate Tenta because that was the guy at the time (for me). This year, I'm out for the whole thing. I don't even care if we have to debate IWA Mid-South: The months between March-May circa 2005.
