WHAT?!!??!?!?!?!?
Surely to God you aren't going to complain about the officiating in that game, especially after the refs handed the Rangers their second and third goals on a silver platter?

So IDR, how long are the next three days going to feel?
Dude... please. Go watch the first and second periods. Gonchar's goal? Came off a HORSESHIT roughing call when both KONOPKA AND RUPP went at it together.
Richards' trip? Not called. TWO cross-checks on Prust? Not called. Three other odd trips? NOT CALLED. Yet every fuckin' call was made for the Sens.
The refs BLEW this game. And the NHL BLEW that no-goal call. HE KICKED IT IN.
Actually, I'm just messing with you. All kidding aside, the officiating was brutal tonight, and I thought it was horrible in the Bruins' last game too. Although I'm not so sure about the kicked in goal, too close to reverse under the circumstances in my opinion.
The extra day wait between games six and seven is torture. Wednesday can't come soon enough for me.
"Someone [up there] wants them back in the game."
- Henrik Lundqvist
To be fair IDR, they ruled that he didn't touch the puck when the piece of shit Neal kicked it in. Why he isn't suspended for Concussing Boyle I don't know.
either way, it doesn't matter, they have already set a precedent that injuries determine penalties. Boyle was injured. Hence, he should be punished. For starters, Neal never targeted the head of Boyle. If Boyle wants to cross the centre of the ice with his head down, he has to expect to pay the price for it. Over and above that, Neal didn't leave his feet in making contact with Boyle. And much to my surprise, even though he's a notorious tough guy, Neal shockingly is not a repeat offender in such affairs. It's unfortunate that Boyle was injured but hey, it's a physical game, and you need to keep your head up.
It's a good thing you are able to maintain better objectivity in your debating in the Debaters League (excellent job so far by the way), as opposed to your viewpoint on professional sports.

48.1 Illegal Check to the Head – A hit resulting in contact with an opponent's head where the head is targeted and the principal point of contact is not permitted. However, in determining whether such a hit should have been permitted, the circumstances of the hit, including whether the opponent put himself in a vulnerable position immediately prior to or simultaneously with the hit or the head contact on an otherwise legal body check was avoidable, can be considered.
Happy to see the Devils win. As to the Sens-Rangers. Looking forward to game 7. Neal not being suspended was the right call. Nothing wrong with that hit. Tortarella trying to say it was the exact same as Torres had me laughing out loud.
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Ya got that?
Now watch the hit again.
Neil does not leave his feet, however nor does he let up knowing the player is in a vulnerable position, and his intent is never to play the puck, only to separate the man from his own body.
Clear-as-day violation of Rule 48. 5-Minute major for charging, bare minimum.
If Boyle is going to play in the middle of the ice, he should expect to be hit, just not hit in the fuckin' head.
Neal IS a repeat offender. He's just never been suspended for it.
Bottom line is that these types of hits are NOT allowed in the NHL anymore. You are applying 1990's logic to a 2012 NHL game.
Having said that, the Neal goal should not have counted, but Ludqvist basically saying it's a conspiracy is a bit off base and I'll say why. If this was a real conspiracy the Rangers should be the ones on the favoured end considering they're a much bigger market than Ottawa. Of course I can understand his frustration after a bad call, but still.
