12 votes secured for Mariko Yoshida

I'm voting for Kenny Rogers & His Finger-Lickin', Guitar-Strummin' Banjoree.

I like Trish, but she is totally out of her element in her match against Mariko Yoshida, so I cannot vote for her. I will be voting for Mariko because she has all the advantages going into this match.
Had you even heard of her before this tournament?

:headscratch:

So because people fucked up the men's tournament, your going to fuck up the women's tournament? Yeah that makes a ton of sense
Not at all fucking it up. Merely voting without taking time to do any kind of objective research. I'll just vote for who I've seen and liked.

That's how all the tournaments go around here anyways.

I have to agree with Slyfox in the fact that most people aren't going to do reserach, seems highly unneccesary, Trish was a star in the WWE, which is why she will get many votes, my vote? Has yet to be decided, but I think I know where I am leaning.

Hopefully Trish.

Hard worker, solid in the ring, improved tremendously, and almost single-handedly brought credibility to the WWE's womens division.

Plus, she's from North America. And hot.

Its going to be a tough decision for a few reasons, how long does the voting period last and when does it start?

Which will have nothing to do with and will carry no credibility at all in a match set in Japan under joshi rules with a joshi style crowd

So?

What does that have to do with anything?

I thought it did too, apparently Slyfox was the only person that had a problem with it
Hulk Hogan was voted against because Triple H is an inferior worker. Chris Benoit was voted ahead of Sting because apparently Sting can't climb a ladder.

Seriously.

Sam... copyright that NOW...
Slycasm. is now my new favorite word. I'd rep ya if I could.
Same here.

Slycasm is great.

its cos hogan lost to trips
It's because votes go simply to people whom they know, and unless someone goes to extraordinary lengths to promote a certain wrestler/team, then current workers are going to win.

So, using that theory, I'm voting for Trish, because I know her. And she's hot.

So?

What does that have to do with anything?

Everything. Sly. Everything

You can't honestly believe that Trish would outdraw Mariko Yoshida in her hometown and in her home promotion, that's ludicrous thinking Slyfox. Trish has never been in a Joshi match under Joshi rules, so you have to give the advantage to Mariko.

Trish will be wrestling in front of a joshi crowd that has different views and different expectations when it comes to pro wrestling than do fans in America, much less the WWE. Mariko is a highly respected veteran that has earned the respect and approval of the crowd and the fans of the joshi style. Those people won't cheer Trish over Mariko.

Who said she would?

Not really my thinking.

Trish has never been in a Joshi match under Joshi rules, so you have to give the advantage to Mariko.
Cena had never been in a TLC match before Unforgiven 2006, and Edge had only one loss in them, and yet, Cena still came out on top. Nobody cheered him either.

Those people won't cheer Trish over Mariko.
So?

I've seen Trish, I know how good she is. I'm not going to bother looking at anything else. That, and she's hot. I cannot stress that enough.

Trish doesn't need people to cheer her, she played a heel in the WWE quite alot to when you think of it. I'm not saying she would win, but the hometown factor doesn't really affect my decision.

Edge was in HIS hometown, in HIS match that Cena had never been in.

Cena still won.

^^^^That wasn't pointed towards your example Sly...it was pointed towards the argument for the match being in Japan.

Who said she would?

So why are you marking out for Trish then?

Cena had never been in a TLC match before Unforgiven 2006, and Edge had only one loss in them, and yet, Cena still came out on top. Nobody cheered him either.

Your taking elements from the WWE, which is a totally different kind of wrestling style than Japanese wrestling

I've seen Trish, I know how good she is. I'm not going to bother looking at anything else. That, and she's hot. I cannot stress that enough.

You know how good Trish is at wrestling a match in WWE's style, the Mariko/ Trish will be a match located in Japan, with Joshi rules, all the experience and success that Trish had with the WWE will be irrelevant because its a different world and a different wrestling style.

I'm not saying anything against Sly, I kinda agree with what Sly is saying, I am in the middle right now, not sure who I am going to vote for.

Vote for Mariko. Sly is so not gonna like my nine reasons to vote for Kurt Angle. But we're about 8 months away from that.

What/s their to agree with? Trish is out of her element, out of her wrestling style, out of her Country, and wrestling in front of a crowd that views pro wrestling differently than the fans in the States and in the WWE.

Mariko has all the advantages in this match, add in the fact that she's one of the best women's technical wrestlers to ever live and is highly respected by the Japanese fans, Trish doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell in this match.

The best woman's technicle wrestler ever live is really the only thing that would make me vote for her, does were they are wrestling really matter? Does the way the crowd views wrestling really matter?

But whos to say trish doesn't get lucky in the match and knocks the opponent out, someone can be as great as they want, but if you get knocked out then you lose XD
