WZCW QUICK NEWS EPISODE 8!!

So, there it is, ladies and gents. Episode 8 of the Quick News Podcast.

I should preface it by saying that there is a few big talking points towards the end of the show. Please have a listen and drop me some feedback if you can, especially on the subjects that I talked about. I'm really happy to get any feedback on the show that I can, too.

Thanks, fellas.

Good podcast Dave. It's sad that everyone is terrified of the tag Team division except the one other team in The Clark Sisters. I was hoping to carve out a career in WZCW as a tag team specialist as (like you) I enjoy tag team wrestling and it's been a staple of wrestling everywhere. So if the tag Team division explodes, what happens to The Clark Sisters who are clearly geared for the tag team division? Does WZCW bring back The Mayhem title in response to losing the tag titles? Does Vis Imperium continue on as a stable without the tag titles?

Point 2: Bringing in part-timers if they want to part time. A good idea, but to add to it, why couldn't active full timers also have a once every two month part timer kicking around as well? It's not like they'd be pulling double duty all the time. Just once in awhile, maybe even spread the gap depending on the person or if they're on Creative (in turn it would seem like triple duty). I'd be willing to create a part timer myself for creative to use every month or two depending on the need. It would help too if bringing in part timers doesn't go smoothly.

I'm not terrified, it's actually where I'd prefer to be for a while but it's not working out that way.

I think he was making a joke mate. Vis Imperium reigns. As far as, if the Tag Division does go, there will still be team team matches - that component will live on. It's just that Creative won't be under any pressure to create tag teams for a championship match. And of course Vis Imperium ensures regardless of the course of action.

Thoughts:

-It pains me as well, but I think it's time for the tag team division to go on the back burner. I love tag teams, but unless you guys start allowing tag teams run by one person who only has to submit one RP (which would be a nightmare to judge against people with two characters) we just don't have the depth right now. That's the struggle with RP-based results - people can't sign up fun filler characters to pad out a roster, and no one likes pulling double duty. I don't think how WZCW operates is bad at all, it just limits certain solutions I'd pitch otherwise. Keep teams and stables around, but have them be part of regular feuds and angles.

It's a shame because too often g team can bring out the best in each other. Strikeforce and Saxoteur, for example, or Barbosa and SHIT. The Bearded Gentlemen. During what I call the golden age of the tag division you had strong, full time teams who didn't want to break up because they were having a great time improving and learning. Nowadays you don't have that. Salvific Knights might have went somewhere but hey, Kapu is Kaput.

I'd say deactivate the titles for now and move on. A shame, but it's just a matter of depth and commitment in my eyes.

It's almost funny, after Karzai and Lights were put into a team and I got really burned out my first run, I swore up and down I'd never be in a team again. Then JGlass happened and tag team wrestling is one of my favorite things in efedding and I'm part of a billion tag teams and alliances.

Also remember, just because the tag titles would be retired doesn't mean you can't form an alliance with another member.

-100% yes on part-timers. Same with Jeff's suggestion of us having part-time characters. It gives roster depth, it allows for people with limited schedules to compete and enjoy themselves, and it doesn't take away from the full-timers getting title shots. I've been a proponent of part-timers for years now. I see no downsides. It boosts numbers, feud options, and allows for shock announcements when a certain part-timer returns or is inserted into a match. Great idea.

-My nomination for the Legacy award is Miko. He and Barbosa both but special shoutouts to Miko. He turned the fed on its head with SHIT and adds such a huge and necessary dimension to the fed that few others can match. Almost no one can pull off the balance of absurdity and serious philosophy like he can and his feedback always made the fed a better place. Sharp as a tack where it counted and influential as hell with the doors SHIT opened for other outlandish characters.

It hurts for me to say it, but the titles should be stripped soon and put on hold until the day comes that we get a wave of tag teams again. It's so odd, because when Cerberus split, there were like four or so teams that came out of nowhere to challenge Live Mas. If we can't get more teams, then Vis Imperium vs. The Clark Sisters could be the last nail in the coffin.

I not only opt for putting the belts on a freeze, but I feel personally that we should have a show dedicated to the tag team division, with various teams talking about what being champions was like to them. Call me a bleeding heart, but I think it deserves a magnificent send off in the same way as the Mayhem title did. Running a tag title in an e-fed for so long should count for something.

And I'm cool with part-timers, as long as they don't expect title matches/runs.

I said it in the back, but I'm in two minds on part timers. On one hand, I like the idea of allowing new people to the fed to test the waters a bit. Being able to come up with a character and RP maybe only two times a cycle will give us a temporary boost and allow people to try out RPing. I say that those people who are just trying out should be used as enhancement talent unless they are putting in mind blowing RPs against a full time member putting in a shaving RP.

The reason I am against the higher level part timers on a more permanent basis, is the same reason I dislike the Brock Lesnars of the world today. For the most part, not many people benefit from them. If you look at the recent runs of Celeste against Eve, and going further back, Barbosa's return against SHIT, those were examples of how a part timer should be used. Both part timers came in for a short program that put over a full time member. I'm fully okay with that, but it is when part timers start getting title shots or taking away from full time RPers that I dislike it.

On the tag team front, we have honestly been keeping the tag division on life support for a long time now. This isn't the first time we have discussed pulling the plug. I am one of, if not the best tag team wrestler this fed has seen(I keep mentioning this to annoy Prophet) so it isn't like I'm pulling the plug with a smile on my face, but the fact remains that for as many people who claim to enjoy tag wrestling, few of them wanted to put forth the effort. Dave made a plea a short while back and basically said "Form a team, get a free title shot." and the response was poor at best. So we are currently discussing the alternatives to the tag titles.

I really like the idea of Part-Timers but I have a question regarding that. What about the post count? Would we let people join part time with less than 40 posts with a full time roster spot available once they hit 40 (if they don't have it) or would it still be 40 post minimum to apply at all?

I think the post count wouldn't be as important with a part timer because if they get banned or just leave it's not as earth shattering as opposed to a full timer who had plans set for a full cycle.

Alas Tag Division I knew ye well. I'm bummed to see it go but it's not that surprising either. Hopefully it will come back in the future.

I'd be sad to see the tag team go, I had planned to go that way next with a new character, I would do part time double duty now to keep it alive.

As for part timers, I would have stuck around from 2013 till now if I could have done that then. As it was I had to wait until my schedule opened a bit.

It's a shame about the tag division, I did suggest an idea of having new people come in and RP as teams instead of a single character, so one individual that RPs as a team and when they're ready for singles action as an individual, they can pick a team member to move on with. You could almost make the tag division as the entry division for new people to help get to grips with fellow newbies or members who want to do the team dynamic. Just my two cents.

Part-timers could be interesting...

WZCW Quick News Podcast with Yaz

It's been a long time since I managed to get a podcast done for WZCW. Thankfully I managed to find the time to get my pal Yaz on for a little look at all things eFed. In this episode, we talk about Yaz's new character, Jabari Kasim. We also talk a little about the last round shows and look ahead to the Lethal Lottery and Kingdom Come.

Sorry about the sound quality on my end, my microphone was a little broken. I'll sort it for next time around.

Thanks for listening.
