WZHL Fantasy Hockey 2015-16 Thread

Welcome to the 2015-16 WZHL Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Hockey league/season!

The following is all the important information you'll need if you are participating in this years' league:

• Head-to-head
• Scoring: Goals, Assists, Plus/Minus, Penalty Minutes, Powerplay Points, Shorthanded Points, Shots on Goal, Wins, Goals Against Average, Save Percentage, Shutouts

When is the draft?

The Draft date is set for Sunday October 4th, 2015 at 7:00pm EST

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early since the draft will start promptly at the assigned time.

Note: The above names are who are confirmed thus far. As each invite accepts, the list will be updated with the handle of the participant and their Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Hockey handle.

I'm opening this year to ten teams. We have four confirmed, but I forget who Cutie Mark Crusaders is/was. Whomever that was last season, just update me so I can get you listed properly in the OP.

With Justin out, we have three open spots. So who is joining us this year?

Hopefully we can get our roster back up to 10 participants as that is clearly the ideal number for WZHL.

I think Cutie Mark Crusaders was Rainbow Yaz if I'm not mistaken.

I have sent a PM to one guy who earlier indicated at interest in joining the league, and I asked him to PM you if he is still interested. Can't really think of anyone else. Dirty Jose and LSN once indicated interest, but neither guy has been on here since forever, so doubtful they will be around to participate, or will be active if they do return. Akhilleus is a sports fan, not sure if he has any interest in the NHL or in fantasy sports.

I notice we have replaced GWG with short handed points, how come the change? Not sure how I feel about that. You know, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Good luck to all again guys, hopefully we will end up with ten guys who all remain active throughout the entire season, like way back in season one.

Yeah, whats up with SH goals? GWG is a better stat to have IMO.

I'm out this year. I'm just not feeling this year, & don't want to be one of those guys that loses interest then stops setting line-ups & everything, I'd rather my spot goes to somebody who's going to care & stay invested & try to be competitive through the entire season.

Was never in one for b-ball, I'm in 3 fantasy football leagues so far this year, if JGlass renews the one he was running I'll do that one too

Nice to see we have a new addition to our roster for WZHL. Glad to have you on board, Mr. Piper, hopefully you will enjoy the league as much as the rest of us have the last few seasons. Hopefully you will be an active participant for the entire season, makes the pool so much better when everyone is fully involved.

Hopefully, we can get three more guys (I'm assuming Thriller is back again) to round things out at ten, which would be ideal. It would be nice to see JGlass back again (as it is always fun to thrash a Devils fan) and who knows, maybe IC or Ty would consider a return after a one year hiatus. Or maybe even Justin would reconsider, in a non commish role, as it really isn't that big of a time involvement. Either way, here's hoping we get 10.

Thriller was You've Been Oshied? If he joins, we have three open spots for a ten-team league. If we can't fill them, we'd need at least one more for an eight-team league again this season.

I have already sent PM's to deanerandterry and Max Headroom, both of whom have posted in NHL-related threads in the past. No response yet. There is another dude named K Web V3 who has posted in NHL threads before as well, I haven't messaged him yet. And I was wondering about Stormtrooper, I remember changing his name a few seasons ago in an NHL playoff-related bet (along with a few other guys too )
