I could do a roster review, though...
No main-event? Then what are Titus & Showtime doing Falkster? That's actually a match I would seriously consider putting on last at Unscripted. No offense at all to the HIAC guys, but that match is high caliber with two megastars, hall of famers, legends, duking it out in a nicely constructed blood feud.
Well look at it this way, it gives fresh blood to the ME scene. Are they all at that level? Not the likes of Drake, Showtime, and Titus would be at the moment, but Drake and Showtime have been in the ME for the title for way too long and need to be away from it for awhile. Let the upper midcard if you will take a chance at the title and see who sorts out as main event caliber. It's not going to hurt because if they're not on the level you still have a very strong World Heavyweight Champion remaining strong in Barbosa carrying everything.
I like that we got new faces hovering around that area. Not to say I wouldn't be interested in rising up to that once again in the future, but let the chaos ensue and let the real challengers shake out.
Not sure I'd totally agree with that Falk, if there is no Main Event I'd say its because we're swamped, not because everyone is suddenly periphial.
We've still got Showtime, Drake and Kurtesy, and even though when they were the ME scene, along with a bit of Holmes, I always thought there was others on their level who for whatever reason didn't get the recognition.
I could probably name 7 or 8 people who could beat Barbosa for the World Title tommorow, the three names above included obviously, but one wonders what more a Saboteur has to do before he is considered main event? Or Zues? Fact is they could take down anybody, the three names above included. We don't want to be like the NWA, making Sting and Lex Luger pay their dues when everyone can see they're good enough.
Or by the time we eventually do recognise how good Rush is, the guy is burnt out and leaving.
I'd personally like that.
To be honest, I'm still not fully sure if I should extend my RPs in presentation (such as writing them script like) or add more depth with bigger paragraphs in order to help push Jon's career along.
I think I've hit my stride on the character, especially with how I finally revealed a good deal of backstory, carrying that ball though I'm not sure which I should do in terms of making my RP stronger.
Maybe its me being here constantly for at least four years but guys like Saboteur still don't feel like they are a solid fixture in the main event. Don't get me wrong, JGlass is excellent and has beaten a lot of people to get to this point but to me, being apart of a very successful tag team doesn't get you anywhere in the singles division. It gives you a great platform (and considering Saboteur, it was a bigger platform than most) but he needs that one big victory or performance to convince me he belongs in the main event as a permanent fixture. His match against Vega felt like too upper midcarders fighting it out to break through the glass ceiling and because that match is now effectively null & void with both guys entering the Cell, I don't feel like one guy has gone over the other and are still clashing heads as they make their way into the PPV.
Dr. Zeus came in and beat me in a high level feud, which is pretty good considering I've always gotten the final victory in every feud I've been involved but he's going to need something to kick him over the edge. Winning the Elite X title and having a successful run would be many steps in the right direction but right now, it's probably a bit too early for a World title.
Well, if you feel you've established a good backstory, why not work on the character and take him on a journey to develop a new chapter in his life?
When I first started as Kurtesy, I ignored most of my backstory to follow the fun doctor gimmick and I had a ball. Then, when I turned heel, I turned Kurtesy into who followed prestige and put himself on a pedestal. I turned face and became a spiritual monk.
However with yourself, you can utilise your backstory and personality traits by picking a particular few and branching off into a new story.
Well, the old guard always fear the new blood.
See, at this stage, for me the only difference between Drake/Kurtesy and Saboteur/Zues/Vega, is that Kurtesy lucked into a world title shot (no offence, twas the roulette round, after all) and while I was horrified that Barbosa wasn't still champion at that point anyway, Kurtesy won it, to your credit. And Drake punched a woman, and won that match, to his credit, but he was the first eliminated from KFAD at Kingdom Come.
But before you were afforded your chances to do that, everybody probably said the same about your characters that you're saying about the current lot now. Never mind that Saboteur is going into his third year now and is white hot. And Vega just did the double over Titus. The iron is hot, its time to strike. Or they could end up in the same boat I am in right now, the one that Rush ended up in. Wasted potential.
Yeah, I have that in mind to do.
Really I'm just not sure on the how for presentation to make my RPs better and a lot stronger.
Many people, like Dagger (whose RP I really enjoy) and Barbosa write it out like a play/movie script. Fallout, who I think is amazing, writes it more novel style. I've been trying to do a combination but I'm not sold on myself making that combination style coming off as strongly as the script or novel style.
I think Jon's a great character and I've definitely moved him away from the dullness he was at the beginning, but how to present further growth is still on the table for me.
If any of that even makes a lick of sense.
Yeah, I have that in mind to do.

As long as the RP is legible and easily to follow, presentation shouldn't necessarily matter. It's more about the content contained with the RP.
To me, I detest Barbosa's presentation but that didn't really come into a factor when I was judging his RP's. His was legible and the content was excellent.
I personally don't regard myself as a main event guy. The only time I would accept that would be the events heading into and lingering from Kingdom Come IV (up until I lost the title). Apart from that, I've been hanging around the (upper) midcard for the most part.
I'm not sure what you mean about striking now what the iron is hot. I get the quote but Vega & Saboteur are striking right now and have a chance to break through. One excellent performance or showing during a match and both of these guys will convince me on being top dog. That's all it takes.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you that Saboteur/Vega and the lot aren't capable, I just feel they need that one last push.
Also interesting note, I never intended the HIAC Fatal Four way match to become tradition for Unscripted. It was only supposed to be a thing for my character as a celebration of his year long title reign.
Clearly the answer to all of this is hotshotting Illapa to the main event.

Exactly what it is about I am not sure but as my name has been mentioned a few times I would guess that it is about "someone" secretly writing two characters as the reason for SHIT not getting a world title shot...
As an aside, could anyone on Creative or Harthan himself tell me if my extended PM reached the system for evisceration/consideration?
Given how often HIAC and The Chamber crop up for shows, I do wonder when the last TLC match was because that is a match type that would be awesome for Unscripted. I still have fond memories of the Tag Title TLC Match from All or Nothing '09.

Indeed, to my knowledge there has still only a single one-on-one match in the Cell. The build up had singing and everything.
I'm not sure I got it. Can you try again?
Well, I did mean how often they take place as an annual event, like EC is for KFAD, and HIAC has turned into a tradition for Unscripted. Also, that HIAC you mention was the only one to take place outside of Unscripted as well, t'was a good match!
