I don't think he'll win the big one that early, but I can certainly see him winning the Eurasian Championship this year if he manages to get a challenge for it.

I'm not sure, he did make it into the KfaD match. I guess maybe 6 months is too soon, but I could see him being in contender's matches soon on a regular basis.

Wasn't keen on MD, mainly the progress of HIAC. Not sure if Runn deserves another shot if he loses next round. Much like Vega I guess but I could understand a thief sneaking in.

But one of those two should lose out.

I understand your arguments but look on the flip side: what else is available for Ricky Runn should he lose at MD100? Too late to create a feud & there aren't many opponents left who'd be available to give Runn a high-profile exhibition contest (possibly for a prize) without it being a dramatic step-down from the main event scene (no offense, guys).

The way I see it: Barbosa will not be ending Meltdown 100 with a clean victory over Ricky Runn (should he win), thus allowing a perfectly good excuse to give Runn one last title shot in the cell. However, should he lose again, Ricky should be kept away from the title for a while.

See that's kinda the problem the World title rematch doesn't really mean anything if we're blatantly going with a dirty finish that will soon be negating by whatever happens at Unscripted. That's kinda the problem with the HIAC Four way every year is that choices like that have to be made when neither Vega nor Runn exactly deserve another shot at this junction.

Argument can be made Saboteur deserves this shot one on one but he'll get it sooner or later.

The other alternative to the World Title scenario is that there's a stipulation that Ricky Runn can't challenge Barbosa again while he still holds the title, setting up the stakes for the match itself. And if in the event Ricky is screwed out of the title from interference, then he faces the person who screwed him at Unscripted. Nothing makes a match more personal than screwing them out of their last chance at the World Title which they can't challenge for unless someone beats Barbosa. It makes a good quick transition and gives Ricky something immediately with a brand new feud that can carry over to All or Nothing.

As for what that leaves for the World Title HIAC, you could drop a spot and make it a Triple Threat, or have a pre-show Battle Royale before Unscripted and the winner gets the title shot in the same night. Or make the person that screwed Ricky be one of the other title contenders, and thus they're removed from the match as well, giving a one-on-one Hell in a Cell match.

Pancake is my boy and he deserves his chance but it's going to lead to oversaturation of his character. Maybe losing doesn't hurt him but its going to be demoralizing.

And I can't believe no one else would benefit from getting that spot.

True, I think the other way you could have Ricky still in the HIAC without the MD100 match affecting him is that something happens that didn't get the match to start, like the Lesnar beatdown on Big Show, or Barbosa wants to start his own stable?

It's between a rock and a hard place to give a great match and not have it belittled with Unscripted right after it.

Also, back at Unscripted 2011 no-one saw the surprise of Baller being the final guy, and he gave a good showing on that occasion. Not to mention no-one saw the title to suddenly jump from Ty to Dave to Barbosa to Titus to Kurtesy in a short space of time.

The situation with Ricky Runn is still miles better than Ryback main-eventing that one PPV against that other guy whose name I forget...

Meltdown felt a bit awkward to read. However, I know that this past week has been crazy, so I think it's fair to give it a pass. I'm excited to see who is Titus' opponent and while the setup for Dave & Ty was a bit abrupt, it'll still make for a fine match.

On the subject of Runn or Barbosa still getting into the chamber, I would say the MD100 match should be winner take all. That's how I was going to book it if I stuck around. Both guys are getting a WHC match on the biggest non-PPV show ever the round before Unscripted. The loser should take the loss and sit-out the PPV to sell whatever gruesome injuries that will come their way at MD 100. I think that's a fair price for a world title shot. I would take that deal 100% of the time.

For the final spot I would put all the extras on MD 100 in a giant Battle Royal for entry into HIAC. That wild card every year (Kurtesy, Baller) is always entertaining and could eventually lead to bigger things.

I'd love to see something like what Cena did with Bryan where the best RPer gets given the shot. But it would mess up Unscripted plans.

I will also say that I am looking forward to
RPing again. It's been a while since I last did some RPing, but I should be good and ready for the next round. I'm thankful to Creative and Ty for making this match happen as it's been a few months in the works.

*Spoiler tags for anyone who hasn't read Meltdown yet.

I now know how it feels to be everyone I've ever beaten with a goofy RP that focuses more on my character and weird adventures than the fed itself.

I was hoping to get it started a couple rounds earlier but suddenly it was: Oh shit, it's like 2 rounds from now.

So the original story we had planned got scrapped and I cobbled together something else for the quick build. Just wait and see on Ascension.

Yeah, part of the plan involved the whole Banks threatening Dave with his job thing that got lost in the mix and forgotten about, but Ty made a save with the rivalry of the GMs to make it work. But yes, wait until Ascension.

I'd hate to be one of those losers who over-analyses the booking of an e-fed...

Look at it this way, when competition is as thick as it is right now, questions will start to get asked. I could say that I was kinda dissapointed not to make the Cell, since I've been keeping pace with Barbosa and occasionally even outshining him (and the reverse, obviously) for the better part of a year now, and our stories are still intertwined, and I am sure there are plenty of other people who feel similarly.

That said, Vega absolutely deserves a shot and Ricky Runn is fun as hell, and people actually being able to earn opportunities is currently at the best I've ever seen it, unlike when you had people like Rush pulling up trees but having little to show for it, Vega and Runn are proof of that, so I'll not begrudge them their shots.

I miss Rush :(

Ah I found the words I am looking for; With competition as fierce as it is, I can understand why people are asking why creative aren't being more cutthroat with people who come up short.

The competition is fierce because there is practically no main event (I think I've said this before). Barbosa is the only guy on the roster currently who I couldn't deny being among the top dogs. Everyone else are floating around the upper mid-card area at the moment at best with some about to bust through the glass ceiling.

Ricky Runn & Vega are ridiculously close with big milestones backing them (Gold Rush & last Mayhem champion, respectively) with Saboteur running behind. They need a big win to accelerate them into the big time and it's not necessarily a World title win (although that is the big one to push them). A program that Blade & Triple X are currently riding out would work wonders as well (which is also working for them too).

There are others but I'm afraid I'd be here typing forever. I could do a roster review, though...

No main-event? Then what are Titus & Showtime doing Falkster? That's actually a match I would seriously consider putting on last at Unscripted. No offense at all to the HIAC guys, but that match is high caliber with two megastars, hall of famers, legends, duking it out in a nicely constructed blood feud.

Well look at it this way, it gives fresh blood to the ME scene. Are they all at that level? Not the likes of Drake, Showtime, and Titus would be at the moment, but Drake and Showtime have been in the ME for the title for way too long and need to be away from it for awhile. Let the upper midcard if you will take a chance at the title and see who sorts out as main event caliber. It's not going to hurt because if they're not on the level you still have a very strong World Heavyweight Champion remaining strong in Barbosa carrying everything.

I like that we got new faces hovering around that area. Not to say I wouldn't be interested in rising up to that once again in the future, but let the chaos ensue and let the real challengers shake out.
