I prefer dwarves to elves, werewolves to vampires and pirates to ninjas. Why is that?

To be honest, none of these are all that surprising to me.

The more recent depictions of elves have hardly been conducive to getting people to like them. Most are old and evil (Thor, Hellboy). Even things like Tolkein, where they are supposed to be good guys do not present the Elves in the most flattering light. An ancient people who would rather run away than face a great evil. Dwarves seem to be more interesting, flawed even with their Napoleon syndrome but willing to have fun.

The damage done to vampires by the proliferation of Twilight and its knockoffs should not be underestimated. Sure, there were werewolves in it too but not being the central character lessens the damage.

Nothing against ninjas but the depiction of pirates has them as being a lot more fun and if ACIV Black Flag suggests anything, you can be a combination of both.

If it is allowed everyone should have the option to potentially cash in that night should they win KFAD.

You'd have to PM creative right now if you want that opportunity. You need to inform creative about your decision prior to the start of the round. You can't tell them when the boards close as it's easier to judge and get inside scoop from a leak whether or not your submitted RP would win or not.

Exactly, so everyone in the match or hoping to be should go do that like now.

Would that be wise though? Reason being is that since it's a PPV and a world Title match, whoever wins is going to put in a ton of effort into their RP. If you want to use the surprise cash in route, you would want to use it for a standard match when you feel the champ isn't going to put as much effort into their RP.

And the world makes sense again.

Maybe he's thinking of joining. I lurked for like a year before joining.

I SAW that! The NWN-player in me who's jealous of everybody who has access to a D&D set (that I've never seen before in real life) thanks you for joining.

What should I call my Christmas thread, considering I'm considering a name change?

Christmas with Bear should be fine.... Speaking of which, I'd just go with simply "Bear" for your name change. Or "Grizzly Bob" since you go by that here in the fed.

This is definitely the case for this round...but it may not necessarily be for future rounds. I haven't made up my mind yet.

Stay tuned. Maybe.

There's already a Bear. I was marginally annoyed. There's also a Theo, a Nate and a Blade and they aren't the ones you're thinking of. I should probably just change it to my real birth name, but I don't type like a Baloo.

You better believe it. Look for the Bear necessities....

How about Grizzly Bob, then?

What about Bear Hugger, like that guy from Super Punch Out? :p

Christmas plans appear to be in place. I got all my shopping done other than one or two things and we just need to decide if christmas will be held at our apartment or my mother in law's house this year.

Saturday I have the Christmas party for my moms side of the family, so it'll be fun seeing some of my cousins (and hopefully playing a drinking game or two with my uncles) but the fact that side of my family ALWAYS fights when their together isn't something I'm looking forward to.

Other than that I don't have Christmas related things going on until Christmas eve.

Punch-ups or shouting?
