WZCW Discussion Thread

College student majoring in English.

And I do volunteer work for OurHouse and Children International.

Looking to be an author/editor.

One of the positions I am looking to take to replace my current job is a Tech Support/Customer Service/Sales position with GoDaddy.

I'm sick of talking on the phone for living but I make good money so it's a wash. I also do side work fixing PC's and also doing custom PC builds.

Also, did you see my PM?

I haven't had a chance to look it over yet. Based on what my week looks like plus me needing to do my own RP I may not quite get to it as soon as I'd like to.

That's my main concern for applying for such a position. I've done customer service before, but that was in person in retail so I'm not completely sure how well I would do on the phones.

No worries, just thought I'd ask.

No wonder you write RPs so well.

Haha. I'm still as green as the freshly mowed lawn I one day hope to acquire, but I appreciate that.

But in all honesty, I've never RP'd before. Seeing that it may help get myself interested in writing more, tho, I thought "hell, WZCW looks cool. May give this a shot."

I read yours a few times to see where I think I can improve. Same with Dagger.

What do you all do for a living?

Currently I work one full time job, a freelance job and a volunteer job.

Full time (which I'm looking to leave): Security
Freelance: Graphic designer
Volunteer: Creative Director for an educational game project

Ain't security just grand? Only job where people get mad at you for doing your job right?

I am currently working as an online customer service representative. Otherwise I am trying to finish up the last little bit of college that I have left. I plan on taking an internship next spring.

I feel your pain, Ech. I too am a CSR. It's the kind of job you both love and hate at the same time.

It pays the rent, helps me eat, puts gas in my car, but not much else. On top of that I'm dissatisfied with the degree I'm getting. I'm only completing it because I'm too close not to. I'll either go back and get another bachelors or go get a masters.

I've tried twice to get a degree. Failed to get into the swing of things first semester and dropped out. Thank goodness Australia is a blue collar country.

Eventually, I will get a degree in Teaching (Primary or Elementary, pending from where you live). Still really interested in teaching kids how not to suck at life.

I'm thinking of getting a second Bachelors, this time in Graphic Design.

I won't ever teach, because I don't have the patience for it. However I'm looking to focus my game design career on education and health (physical therapy and fitness).

My dream job was to be a locomotive engineer. I regret not pursuing it, but my mother wanted me to go to college and I have vision issues so I lost my confidence due to lack of support. If I lived in Australia, that's what I'd be doing.

My Christmas will consist of me playing Madden 25 on my PS4, just like I have for the last 15 hours since I got it. If any of ya'll got PS4, send me your PSN info.
