I'm going to my step dads family Christmas party, then my dads family Christmas party and then my mums family Christmas party followed by a Christmas party with my friends... all within the space of 3 days.

Doing fuck all for New Years apart from getting wasted.

Saturday I have the Christmas party for my moms side of the family, so it'll be fun seeing some of my cousins (and hopefully playing a drinking game or two with my uncles) but the fact that side of my family ALWAYS fights when their together isn't something I'm looking forward to.

Other than that I don't have Christmas related things going on until Christmas eve.

Mine always fights too.... The in law's are a lot like The Goldbergs, for those who watch that. My side fights in the bad way though and we simply disowned them. It's only her side of the family this year.

Is that Four Christmases? Funny movie. We recently re-watched it again but my mother in law is currently with an old classmate of mine so it hit kind of close to home and we shut it off before the end. Might try watching it again this year.

The big tradition for me is watching Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. It's not Christmas without that. I've seen it every year on christmas eve for the past 20 years.

My father's deceased and his family all live everywhere but in Metro Nashville. So it's only my mothers side. But even then my immediate family only has 3 people. Fuck it, I may not even do Christmas this year.

It's both annoying and hilarious that my moms side of the family get pissed at each other over the rules of freaking board games.

Of course it doesn't help most of that side of the family doesn't know how to watch their mouth, and since my great grand mother is coming this year and she has no filter to what she says at all, I just know all hell will break loose at some point.

Gotta take a taxi, then a bus to another state tomorrow to make it to my parents. I was told there would be pie and eggnog, and I'm a man who enjoys eggnog and pie.

First time I've ever had a Christmas (Crunkmas, as my best friend calls it) like it. Usually I work and then go to large friend pot lock get togethers.

Work 4 hours and get paid for 8 on Christmas Eve. Go to in laws, try to remain sane/sober.

Christmas Day at my mom and dad's house. Fairly simple.

My aunt's boyfriend is an alcoholic and a douche, so I ignore him. Besides that, it's all good.

I don't do the extended family visiting thing at Christmas. Not because there are arguments or I do not like them, just because I have nothing in common with them aside from blood and that is not enough for me (or them as it happens) to want to shoehorn in spending time with them.

Christmas dinner at home is all I need.
