and I wouldnt worry much about Barrett going to RAW. Im not so sure the residence of the mentor will have a whole lot to do with were the mentee goes. I think that depends a lot more on how much faith they have in the mentee.

I'd disagree with you on how far the main eventing days looked on Friday. He'd just beaten the World Heavyweight Champion cleanly in the middle of the ring, and as he'd had a prior match with him recently it looked like Morrison was about to feud with him after Extreme Rules.

You may be right about when the decision was made to draft him, however I do not think his ME push failed, so much as it was put to one side. He couldnt be in the ME at 'Mania because both top title slots were taken by the people the current champion was feuding with. He couldnt win MitB because Swagger was going to (which was likely decided months beforehand). This resulted in him being booked out of the Main Event for the time being. Once Swagger took the title off of the people in a feud he looked primed to resume the push that was put on hold, and enter his first major title feud.

If they had that sort of confidence in him, then why put him back to the depths of the mid card on RAW?

They had him do his best against Jericho and Taker in a huge match in front of a hot crowd. No one gave a shit. Just as they hadnt given a shit for months. They did all they could for him this year. Everything. It failed. Start over. They gave him that win over Swagger to generate momentum going to RAW, and to pain Swagger into an underdog corner before Extreme Rules.

Remix, it's "received". Anyway, sometimes after the drafts, GMs are known to make deals, so I wouldn't be surprised to see more "drafts" in the near future. Yoshi Tatsu, Evan Bourne and Zach Ryder would be nice additions to the IC scene. Now if only the E can put some effort into the tag team division...

That was my line of thinking NorCal. Why put him in competitive matches with the WHC if you're not going to follow up on it?

I'm planning to continue with my delusions of Morrison being something other than a white Shelton Benjamin for a little while yet though. Blind markism ftw.
