LAST WEEK!
A Legend Passes, A Legacy Runs On

After a long awaited return to WWE, the Ultimate Warrior took his place in the Hall of Fame, was presented at WrestleMania and cut a promo, thanking the fans for making the legend of the Ultimate Warrior. Sadly, Warrior passed on less than 24 hours later. He is gone, but he'll never be forgotten. The spirit of the Warrior, runs on.

WAR!

Triple H thought he had revenge in his grasp. He finally had Batista and Randy Orton working together and along with Kane, they beat down Daniel Bryan ahead of a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against everyone's favourite COO. Then the Shield happened. They objected to this and now battle lines have been drawn ahead of what Hunter called "a war".

It was a hell of a night on Monday Night Raw last week with a great crowd. NXT Women's Champion Paige showed up, wide eyed and bushy tailed and after a short impromptu match, overcame the 295 day record of WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee and ended her title reign. It was a dream realised.

Meanwhile, superstars returned, debuted and were hinted at. Rob Van Dam came back from a six month (or so) hiatus to squash Damien Sandow, Bad News Barrett battered Rey Mysterio, Alexander Rusev smote Zack Ryder and both Bo Dallas and Adam Rose were given vignettes foreshadowing their impending debuts.

And finally, Bray Wyatt isn't finished with John Cena yet. Not by a long shot. Things are going to get more extreme even he says. Say, isn't there a "special event" coming up soon..?

TONIGHT!

Supposedly tonight is the start of a tournament to decide the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Did they specify the amount of competitors? 16 would be the right amount I think, so that the winner gets a nice rub even if they lose to Big E.

It would be great if a mid-carder like a repacked Tyson Kidd won, but it's going to be someone like Del Rio like it always is.

Hey, if it actually results in something coming from it I'd be fine with more Del Rio/E stuff instead of them just having matches for no reason.

Del Rio simply isn't that interesting. I'm not saying a guy like Tyson Kidd or Titus O'Neil will be better for certain, but I'd take the unknown failure over a proven failure anyday.

Not that Del Rio is bad in the ring though, because he is actually pretty good.

Okay, here is my problem with the Ultimate Warrior tribute, and it is already starting on the Raw preshow. Just because somebody dies everyone changes their opinions, everyone rewrites history so they don't seem like a jerk. Hulk Hogan on twitter said he always loved Warrior, ya like that is really true. And now you get Sgt. Slaughter using words like "outspoken" and "misunderstood" instead of saying that he was obnoxious and hard to work with.

Most of these guys are faking their like for the guy because he is dead. This whole night is going to seem very fake.

I agree, especially w/ Sgt. Slaughter. What a fraud. He was trashing Warrior right up til the night of the HOF induction ceremony.

This is going to be painful to sit through in this LD if everyone starts calling WWE out on not saying something bad about Warrior. This night is about making his loved ones feel comfortable as well as celebrating his career etc... They just lost someone who means a great deal to them. Let WWE try and be kind to them and save calling Sarge etc... out for another time.

We know the only reason Henry's in that match.
Nice to see RVD against a big name to get a big win.
Swagger might actually win this, probably not clean though.
Barrett should win as he's bigger atm.

Cesaro doesn't need to be in the tournament though. We found out what the IC Title did to the last Paul Heyman guy, but Cesaro does not need to lose at all.

To hell with what the guy said later on in his life. He was still a role model and he still had a family that he loved. :(
