No it wasn't, it was fairly average, and that's coming from a huge Cena fan.

CM Punk was terrible. I don't know if it was because he had too many lines to memorize, or if he was nervous speaking on a mic in front of a live audience for the first time in a while, but he kept bringing that segment down. They got no momentum going in that promo.

Also, I'm a little disappointed. Both men are capable of so much more, so hopefully they can do some more promos that are more serious.

If it got serious right away, where would they be able to go in the future? You gotta build up to the huge heat of the feud. I mean, you don't go straight for the clam do ya? Nah, this is the foreplay part of the Punk/Cena feud.
