WWE RAW LD 12/27/2010 - Crying Over Spilt Diet Soda

Morrison will win and make his title match against Miz a parkour challenge. Both men race across the rooftops to the arena. First man to reach it, wins the title.

No one is saying they did. But the DECADE started in 1991. The only reason I know this is because it was such a big deal where I lived when the year 2000 came around, and everyone was saying it was the new millennium, and even more people were telling them the new millennium didn't start until 2001.

Just one of those little nuggets of facts a person picks up along the way.

ok, this may be correct, but i still don't buy it. The 90's was a decade was it not?

I think I'll just chalk it down as an Americanism.

Yes it was, he kept killing the promo's momentum. Everytime Cena would begin to get on a roll, and the promo started to flow more naturally, Punk completely killed the momentum. It was like they were banging their head against a brick wall.

If people would start putting their fandom for Punk aside, they'd see it wasn't that good of a promo. And everyone knows how I feel about Cena, and even I said it wasn't a great promo.

In no particular order:

1. Cena
2. Big Show
3. Triple H
4. Santino
5. The Miz
6. Sheamus
7. Wade Barrett
8. Michael Cole
9. Vickie Guerrero
10. Edge
11. Christian

That's just off the top of my head. Perhaps you may disagree with a couple of them, but there's at LEAST 5 there who you have to admit is better than CM Punk.

I respect your opinion - but am going to cash in my right to disagree.

Although I'll give you the fact that Punk has done far better promos - I think tonight's was a combination of rustiness plus some fairly weak material,

I was discounting Hunter as he wasn't "active" at the moment. But I would say Punk on his day could cut as good or better promo than anyone else in that list.

The 90's can be a decade, as long as you don't include 1990 in it. But it's not "Americanism", is "Christianity", since we base the beginning of our current calendar around the birth of Jesus.

From last night. How wierd does he look with his hair like that?

Why should I have to put my fandom aside? I'm a fan of Punk's specifically because of his mic work.

Also, I don't see how the momentum was killed. The crowd was into it the entire time, and Punk got some good heat from it. One of the loudest "You suck," chants aside from Cena's "farewell" speech.

I hope John Morrison has been taking lessons from Cena on how to win matches or else he really needs to get it together.

A few months ago, I never would've thought that Riley would be a somewhat prominent guy on Raw, and Kaval would be gone. Quite the opposite.

Fair enough.

Possibly, but at least you're admitting CM Punk brought down the quality of the promo.

I was discounting Hunter as he wasn't "active" at the moment. But I would say Punk on his day could cut as good or better promo than anyone else in that list.
Even discounting Hunter, there's still ten people on that list. Cena and Edge are no-brainers, in my mind. So, that puts Punk at three automatically (meaning he's not in the Top 2), and no one gets more heel heat these days than Michael Cole and Vickie Guerrero. Unless it's possibly The Miz or Wade Barrett, and with the POSSIBLE exception of Barrett, the only reason those people have gotten heat is based upon their mic ability.

I just don't see how you can say Punk is even in the Top 5.
