I'm in love with this game for the most part. Universe mode is about 89% where it needs to be. Just a couple minor defaults I'd like to see altered, and some minor modifications I would like to see them do.
1. I hate how you can't edit a match that's considered a "Rivalry" without it defaulting the rivalry to nothing. (in other words, when you edit a ppv Iron Man match to something else, and it's 1 month into the rivalry - it stops the rivalry and you must start over.)
2. I also want to be able to change it from where Wrestler A and B don't fight each other in single's matches every single week to continue their rivalry. (example: Balor and Corbin had 4 straight single's matches in their rivalry.)
Using the two names above, I would expect it to do this... Week 1; Balor v. Breeze.. Corbin attacks Breeze as he's entering, and replaces him. This starts the rivalry w/ Balor. (that's how the rivalry actually began - then, me as Balor, was able to fight off Corbin and he actually left the ring and got counted out.)... NOW.. instead of Week's 2-5 being single's fucking matches between the two.. how about Week 2; Breeze/Corbin in a #1 contender's match. You know, cause Breeze is probably pissed about the jump attack. Week 3.. some type of tag match, or Corbin doing commentary during a Balor match. Week 4.. again, repeat the opposite of Wk 3. THEN the big showdown between the two. Really not that hard.
3. Bring back the storylines feature. That was one of the sole things I LOVED about last year's beta version of a WWE game.
4. Allow me to run multiple ppvs a month, and have them count as legit shows. (Elimination Chamber and Battleground can't both be viewed as major events during the same month.) ... ALSO, allow me to put NXT stars on a ppv. (example; I use Battleground as an NXT v. WWE Main roster show. It's once a year, and gives the young guys the ability to step up and prove they're good enough.)
Beyond those minor things.. that's really it.
I'm NOT AT ALL a fan of that submission circle BS. In fact, I lost 3 matches by submission to Ambrose, Fandango, and Ambrose again.. all because I can't figure the stupid thing out, and my guy (Rollins in all 3 matches, ironically enough) can't get out of them. So he taps.
I DO love the pinning circle. I think that's similar to Madden's kick meter and it works well. It gives you fair chance to kick out of anything, no matter how far into the match you've gotten.
I DISLIKE that it seems to take 3+ finishers to win a match anymore. Seriously, Rollins (me) v. Neville.. I hit a pedigree after completely taking down his health bar - he kicks out. That never should've happened, but okay.. so I beat him down again.. another pedigree.. HE. KICKS. OUT. W..T..F?! I finally hit a 3rd, and he stays down. The same shit happened with Balor and Corbin. I just assumed it was Corbin being tough and it being a rivalry. Neville/Rollins was a one-off single's match.
I haven't tried create-an-arena, or create-a-title. I'm sure both are sweet though, as I've already downloaded a couple great looking arena's and the UFC/TNA Heavyweight title's.
Overall.. this game truly is a great game. It, like any other, has some minor flaws (that submission shit can seriously fuck right off. I honestly thought about turning submissions off because it's BS.)... but yeah, I love this game for the most part.
