Yeah after the first year of universe they realised what a fuck up that was and let you have title matches whenever, you just had to hit square or x to do so

If you edited the pre-determined title match that a rivalry had set up, yeah it would become a non-title match...
But you could still make a title match yourself at any point on any show. If that option has been taken away I'll be pissed off massively.
I can't understand why that feature would be taken away if it indeed has been. I rarely used the rivalry features, I'd just make my own cards for pretty much all the shows to avoid the same "1 v 1" rivalry matches week after week, and end up setting up my own title matches at the PPV at the end of the month.

Can confirm you can't make your own title matches. Unless there's a hidden option that people aren't aware of. sigh... All the good they do they take 5 steps back. Whelp that's 2k for ya. focus on your main frachise and fuck everyone else.

What a load of fucking shit. While it may seem unimportant to some, this is a big fuck up for Universe mode. In a mode thats meant to give you total creativity, you can't even defend the fucking belt when you want to? Or have a debuting superstar win it?
Utter BULLSHIT from 2K, they better fix this with a patch FFS.

Bought the game at midnight and from the half hr I messed around with universe mode I did NOT see an option for adding title matches in show cards

I'm looking at WWE 2K14 on PS3 right now. John Cena is world champion in a feud with Dolph Ziggler. Square simulates the match, X starts the match, Circle exits out, Triangle does nothing and R1 lets you customize the match freely or just change participants.
Is the being able to have title matches whenever just a next gen thing or am I totally missing something somewhere?
As far as this year's game goes also on PS3
The new submission system wasn't incorporated. Kinda made me sad because I liked it on UFC Undisputed 3. The technology is there so I don't see why they didn't do it.
The reversal thing where you have like three to start with and you have to build them back up if you use them isn't on either.
There are some neat surprises in this year's game that I won't give away or anything.
A lot of the models are shitty but given that I'm on a PS3 I'm not expecting them to match up to PS4 or anything.
Haven't really gotten into Universe mode much except setting up my teams right now.

Anyone else get the glitch yet where you do either a move off the top rope when the other guy is standing or you do say a dropkick and end up walking in the air?
Also the PS3 version doesn't seem to have JBL on commentary. And every single match so far Lawler and Cole have done the same lines about injured ribs. Like literally every single match I've played which is about 15 or so.

I don't know if it was new last year or new this year, but I really like the new ways to use a chair as a weapon. And that it's different if someone is getting up, laying down or standing.
But on the negative side for some reason it's nearly impossible to get a ladder in the ring, everytime i grab it, it randomly drops out of my hands. Anybody else had that issue?

Okay I see on PS3 what I had to do was
R1>Customize freely>Special>Title and then pick which title I wanted to defend.
Then it takes you to the character selection screen.
That's how it is on 2K16 also for anyone who has PS3.
I just tried it with no issue.
Are you using your run button to get in the ring with it?
Or is it literally just falling out when you pick it up?

It's like within a second of me picking up the ladder it just drops out of my hands. The AI also had an issue with it yesterday seemingly as they struggled for a good 3-5 minutes with trying to get it in the ring, which admittingly was hilarious to watch.
That's weird.
There's definitely some stuff that needs to be fixed.
Like some of the wrestlers with long hair having the hair like stretch all the way across the ring. Naomi being a big one for me.
And the announcers calling Sheamus John Cena in the last match I used Sheamus with. Cena wasn't involved in any form. They were also talking about Randy Orton even though I was fighting Ricky Steamboat.

From your early opinions....is it worth getting? I was given £100 Amazon vouchers as a leaving present when I left my old job a month ago, so was planning on using some of that money to get 2K16.
Would you recommend it? Is the gameplay as slow as 2K15?

If you have a next Gen system I'd say it's worth it. Career mode is fun from the little bit I've played of it, the roster is incredible, the gameplay and graphics are pretty good too.
There is some issues but the good far outweighs the bad.
