Souls On Fire
Occasional Pre-Show
After a little reasearch it comes to my attention that raw and smackdown combined you have a total of 53 male superstars. Not included in that list is Ricardo Rodriguez, Josh Matthews, and Matt Striker all 3 who can wrestler but aside from Rodriguez, who is wrestling in FCW as Chimaera, will probably not be in ring performers again.
Also in the list of 53 you have Edge, Mysterio, Kane, Triple H, and The Undertaker. Edge and Mysterio have contracts expiring within the next year. Kane has mentioned in some interviews that he has been looking into business ventures outside the WWE and his time may be coming to an end. Trips is ready to work full time backstage. The Undertaker i fully believe will stay long enough to go 20-0 at Wrestlemania and then will finally end his career.
So in looking at the roster and who is left when these guys go, your not gonna see a long list of releases. Those i can see going.....
R-Truth- he is never gonna get farther than he is and unless a heel turn is planned his gimmick is old and stale at this point
Alicia Fox- the queen of botched moves in the Divas Division (enough said)
Rosa Mendes- i just don't see her going anywhere in her career (though they did give Eve the title)
Heath Slater- Believe outside of the Corre/Nexus he will fizzle into nothing
JTG- I forget he even exists sometimes
outside of them leave it the same and do the one thing left to do at this point, end the brand split. Introduce a television title, and reintroduced the cruiserweight title. if these things don't happen then you might as well cut half the roster including
Primo
Yoshi Tatsu
Tyson Kidd
Evan Bourne
Trent Baretta
Zack Ryder
Curt Hawkins
Chavo Guerrero
etc...
There are some guys who are great to watch in the ring but its just known they will never be heavyweight champion. Honestly to believe that some one like Evan Bourne could become champ and be succesful with it and do it multiple times over is unrealistic. However to be the most succesful cruiserweight champ is something that could be possible. I guess time will tell at this point what will happen but that would be the route i go
