To say my piece on a topic from hours ago, the MITB suffered because it went with the curve ball straight away when Edge first cashed in. If the first 4 or 5 cash ins had been like RVDs - in advance, planned out, and then someone did the Edge classic, we'd have much fonder memories of it. Look at the Royal Rumble - the first 4 or 5 have pretty mundane endings, until 1994, 1995 and 1997 did something a little bit different. They could go back to normal after that because there was a big bank of history of it being normal. If a wrestler cashes in MITB in advance now, because most of the history of it is opportunistic, they look like they are completely stupid and missing a golden chance.
