Another shot - Unpopular Wrestling Opinions

I don't see why you would want to throw away something with a built in story that gives people a massive rub and can be a co-main event or the third biggest match on the show at lowest. It's handed to them so why not use it? Also, once you break the streak, it can't be put back together again, so why throw away whatever potential money could be made from it?

- I want to see Dean Ambrose end The Undertaker's Wrestlemania Streak before Taker retires.
- I think Randy Orton should win CLEAN at TLC & unify both world titles prior to Wrestlemania XXX.
- I enjoy watching HBK vs. Hogan at Summerslam 2005 & considering their size difference & the fact that through out history Hogan has been booked as one of the dominant superstars in history, I don't think HBK over old much at all. & the few times he REALLY oversold it was really obvious & I think it was on purpose to send a message to Vince that HBK shouldn't have been the one to lose that match.
- I would actually like to see Hulk Hogan return to the ring for the very last time at Mania XXX to face John Cena but the match would take place about half way into the card & it would see Hogan demolish Cena in about 5 minutes.
- The current WWE product is pretty good & almost everything else today is unwatchable.
- I think Curtis Axel was a great choice for the next "Heyman Guy" & it wasn't until Ryback that things started going down hill.
- Big E Langston doesn't deserve the IC Title yet.
- Natalya isn't even good anymore & didn't deserve both her Summerslam & Survivor Series 2013 victories.
- JBL is amazing at commentary but never should have won the WWE Title.
Oh & here is a good one...
- I think Eddie Guerrero is often overrated & he is only remembered as a Main Eventer/Legend because of his early death. Also I don't think he should have won the WWE Title & his one WWE Title reign is pretty forgettable overall.

When has Natalya ever been good? She's hot, but not much else.

Unpopular opinions huh?

- Ric Flair's the greatest wrestler of all time
- Shawn Michaels couldn't draw a dime
- Mick Foley is the most overrated wrestler in history.
- Hogan was a great wrestler, just didn't need to be in America.
- John Cena is a terrible person in real life.
- Rey Mysterio should retire.
- TNA needs a complete reboot.

That should about cover it.

- I do not believe the state of wrestling is as bad as people are making it out to be.

- I don't care that much for Dean Ambrose, however Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins is going to be a great feud in the future

- I honestly can't remember the last wrestling show that I actually hated from either TNA or WWE

- I don't care that much for Magnus

- The Miz and Dolph Ziggler are all right, don't see why the all the hate is needed although Ziggler should learn to shut the fuck up

- I prefer faces over heels

- I honestly could never boo John Cena, respect the man too much. He's pretty much the reliable workhorse/crutch of the WWE right now.

How can something that was an abject failure be considered a success?

The whole problem with ECW was that Paul Heyman thought it to be more than a northeastern regional promotion, too. They were fine from DC to Boston and west to Pittsburgh. But the appeal waned signicantly beyond that. The TNN deal made that abundantly clear.

I agree, but devil's advocate:

It's getting to the point where people are becoming less excited about the match because they have a certain outcome, and because of that, the 15 minutes of false finishes at the end of every UT WM match don't really mean anything anymore.

- Natalya's the best WWE Diva in the company because she can legit wrestle. AJ Lee's great, but not as good as Nattie.

I think AJ is as good a storyteller as Nattie is a wrestler, and I think that's just as important (and with the current product, you could even make a point that storytelling > technical skill).

I've seen a lot of wrestling. Like, a whole lot. It takes a lot to make me believe in a false finish.

Of the maybe 8 times in the last five years I've been fooled, Undertaker has been responsible for about 5 of them. Those near falls work if they're done right.

Were you fooled by any of them in Taker/Punk?

Not at all, nor any of them in the first HHH match.

The superkick and first tombstone at Mania 25 and the superkick/Pedigree combo inside the Cell had me jumping off my bed.

I'm a huge mark for Jeff Hardy. I know his matches are the same a lot of the time, but I still enjoy him in the ring.

I enjoy watching him wrestle too. If he ever returned to the WWE, I'd mark out like a little kid, jumping on my couch and fist pumping and shit.

This thread gave me a nosebleed, though I'm not sure what I was expecting.

Zack Ryder was more than over enough to be world heavyweight champion, and could still be salvaged.

Randy Orton's probably the best wrestler in the world.

-I enjoyed the more recent Taker/Show feud so much that I bought a used copy of No Mercy 2008 not too long ago.

-I was rooting for Shawn to lose at Wrestlemania 23.

-2012-2103 heel CM Punk was > Straightedge Society CM Punk

- I don't get or see the appeal in Bobby Roode or Magnus. Both of them are highly overrated around here, especially Roode during his run as TNA WHC.

-King Of The Mountain matches were fun train wrecks to watch.

-If Austin returns for one more match, it should be with Cena, not CM Punk.

-Flair VS Shawn should've received the main event spot at Wrestlemania 24.

-Loved every second of the Matt VS Jeff Hardy feud in 2009, including the heel turn, the Mania 25 match, the I Quit match at Backlash, and the stretcher match on Smackdown.

- I couldn't stand the rebirth of Hulkamania stuff post Wrestlemania 18, and I hate it even more, when I go back and watch the matches now (i.e. Rock/Hogan at No Way Out 2003).

The Rock (not Austin or Hogan) is the greatest superstar of all time

Shawn Michaels 1996 run as WWE Champion was awesome

Randy Orton and Batista are both overrated

Goldust and Booker T are both underrated

Eddie Guerrero is the most overrated of all the overrated dead guys

In terms of hotness Trish Stratus > Sable > Sunny

I always liked the Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage more then Hulk Hogan

Since we're talking unpopular opinions, here's one. And since some of you might not understand, I have to highlight this.

Having Triple H beat Booker T at WrestleMania 19 was the right call
