Yet Another Unpopular Wrestling Opinions Thread

WWE developmental is a great idea on paper but not necessarily on execution. All the talent wrestles the same and has a lot to do with they all had the same trainers teaching everyone the same thing. It makes it much more difficult for wrestlers to truly be unique and unless there's a change it's going to do more harm than good in the long run.

The Usos and Dolph Ziggler are good wrestlers.

Roman Reigns isn't ready to be WWE Champion.

Superkicks aren't overdone.

Brock Lesnar should turn heel.

Michael Cole and JBL are great commentators.

Daniel Bryan is on the Top 5 greatest wrestlers of all time list.

The Miz is underrated.

WrestleMania 31 is the second best PPV ever, behind WM 17.

I enjoyed Stone Cold's heel turn.

Triple H and Stephanie should remain in control of Raw. Just greatly decrease their screen time.

NXT is overrated.

I don't mind Ric Flair managing Charlotte.

Bray Wyatt has the best mic skills in WWE and the best character.

Shane shouldn't wrestle again.

A shame some people in this thread are too lazy to take the data which is out there and attempt to apply some degree of actual statistical analysis to it.

Then we'd be cooking.

Your cue, BaconBits.

All the hype surrounding his Wrestlemania match brought me to this thread to post my unpopular opinion: I don't really care about the Undertaker retiring. I have seen many people saying(typing) they were close to tears watching his match with Reigns but it was pretty meh to me. No disrespect to the guy; he is certainly a legend and his career and loyalty to the WWF are commendable, he just never interested me much. I was never a big WWF fan and when he debuted I saw him as another example of the goofy WWF circus who was all spectacle with boring matches. I know later in his career he had improved to the point that he had terrific matches but I guess my mind was made up by then and I had gotten away from wrestling. On the rare occasions I did tune in and see him, I grew bored with his thirty minute ring entrances and switched channels. That said, I know how popular he was with most fans the world over and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

I don't know why I didn't post in this thread earlier.

- Big Cass is pretty underrated on the mic.

- He's better than Enzo as well.

- Brock Lesnar is boring.

WWE is full of guys with athletic ability but severely lacking personality. This is why they have a problem creating big, mainstream stars. Is that their fault or the creative team? No clue.

Brock Lesnar is still the best wrestler in the business.

I'm glad to see the belt back on Lesnar for the time being.

Didn't like the Hardy boys coming back, but it's mainly cause it's as a tag team. Petty complaints for sure.

NXT Fans aren't as bad as people say they are. I've seen crowds way, way worse and the type of product NXT provides isn't matched. There's a lot of criticism I disagree with on NXT that seems to be general, but I suppose I'm less vocal due to me not watching often. A lot of them seem to be people who "Love" pro-wrestling, but only watch sports entertainment and occasionally trash Meltzer / Cornette for their opinions they hardly understand.

Oh, and this guy tried telling me why Zack Jr. sucked, and only watched a single match from him. A single RevPro free YouTube quality match to define your fixated all out truth on someone. WWE / NXT sheep like fans are way more loveable than basic or entry knowledge level "Smart" fans.

Naomi is a good wrestler.

Dolph Ziggler is underrated.

Daniel Bryan is the best ever.

Brock Lesnar is extremely boring.

Randy Orton is one of the best ever.

The Miz should be WWE Champion again.

Jinder Mahal is the worst #1 contender ever.

T.J. Perkins isn't that bad.

Neville is a good wrestler but a little overrated.

Naomi is a good wrestler.

Not bad.

Dolph Ziggler is underrated.

No he isn't. Or as he would say, NO HE ISN'T CAUSE YELLING ADDS EMOTION.

Daniel Bryan is the best ever.

Nah. He was awesome but best ever is way too much.

Brock Lesnar is extremely boring.

Brock killing people is fun. He is just around so little it seems like he is boring.

Randy Orton is one of the best ever.

Not really a hot take. When he cares, he is awesome. Top 30 for sure.

The Miz should be WWE Champion again.

Yes.

Jinder Mahal is the worst #1 contender ever.

Well not literally. I mean Bischoff had a title match. I'm guessing you mean worst ever #1 contender for a PPV WWE title match. Kozlov wasn't great but at least he had won stuff before it. Marella had a shot but I get why they did that. Mabel was really really bad but still at least he won a tournament. A lame one but he still won it.

T.J. Perkins isn't that bad.

Not a hot take. Bit bland but otherwise fine.

Neville is a good wrestler but a little overrated.

In terms of crusierweights, he is pretty good. His mic work isn't consistently good but that is his only flaw right now.

I was never in favor of the brand split coming back because I had a feeling it would be very repetitive matches going forward. 1000 matches of Jericho/Owens vs Rollins/Reigns later I was correct.

Smackdown turned me off during the fall because of the awful Ellsworth stuff.

Im not a fan of Ziggler in anyway so I didn't care for his feud with Miz at all.

If Brock is wrestling or on Raw I am much more excited for the show then if he wasn't. Same with pay per views.

I was excited for Lesnar vs Goldberg at WrestleMania.

Neville should be wrestling at least for the midcard titles.

Seth Rollins is horrendous on the mic.

Dean Ambrose is my current favorite and I think him turning heel will make everyone who doesn't think much of him love him.

The WWE wellness policy should exclude steroids and HGH. The most financially viable superstars of all time are roided up monsters. Case on point: Jinder Mahal. Nobody ever gave a fuck about him until he turned into Hardbody Mahal.

I am actually a big fan of some of the biggest punching bags I see in internet wrestling forums; guys like Greg Gagne, Brian Christopher, Terry Taylor and Jeff Jarrett.

While good, the Steamboat/Savage match isn't as great as people make it out to be.

The Rock bored me on the mic.

Never cared much about the Undertaker.

The AWA was great nearly right to the end.

Paige is still more interesting than the other female wrestler's. Even if it is in a car crash kind of way

What do you think of End of an Era? I thought that match was awful and it was at that point I wanted Taker with that equally awful Mohawk to retire.

Thank you! The end of an era was a big pile of overacted sickening shit. Why won't you die? Everything about it was so over the top. Boss man Vs 'Taker at WMXV was better.

I wasn't a fan of End of an Era either. I didn't see the need for Triple H to face Taker two years in a row at Mania. I didn't care for their match at Mania 27 and 28 just felt like the same match with a cage around it.
