Wrestlemania without Cena

Occasional Pre-Show
I saw a fairly new thread that asked how to plan Wrestlemania 28 next year. Im thinking even further ahead. Think of the first Wrestlemania without Cena, Orton, or Taker, lets say Wrestlemania 32 for the sake of this thread. What are the matches, who's the champions? Any gimmick matches? Anyone from another company joined the E at this point? Anything goes really. So what I want basically is a "dream" card of sorts with the youth movement as your roster, and any young guy from TNA and ROH that may have jumped ship. Lets say the card would be 10 matches total, at least 1 tag match, 1 divas match, 1 gimmick match, and 2 singles title matches, thats 5 out of 10 so the other 5 are anything goes. Heres my card:

Match 1: The All-Night Express vs The Young Bucks

Itd be nice if Rhett Titus and Kenny King came from ROH and GenMe from TNA to help kickstart the tag division. These guys without a doubt would put on a helluva an opener. GenMe is fairly young, as is Rhett Titus, the only guy in this match whod be a little old would be Kenny, but hey he was in Tough Enough Season 2 and the mans a beast, WWE should have signed him.

Match 2: Intercontinental Championship - Tyson Kidd (c) vs Brett DiBiase

Im sure these 2 will still be in WWE and Brett will have been pushed up into the main roster, both talented and im sure wed get a great match from them.

Match 3: Divas Championship - Kelly Kelly (c) vs Kaitlyn

Since divas come and go lets just assume K2 will be here still as will kaitlyn and K2 by then will be a credible divas competitor having won the tile 3 or 4 times.

Match 5: Crimson vs Trent Baretta vs Evan Bourne vs Kenny Omega in a Fatal 4 way Ladder match

All talented, i could see Crimson heading to the E eventually, Kenny maybe, and Trent and Evan I can see sticking around for awhile.

Thats the lower card, now for the upper card. Almost everyone here featured will have held a world title at least once.

Match 6: Kofi Kingston vs Zack Ryder vs Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase vs Alberto Del Rio vs Joe Hennig vs Jack Swagger vs Justin Gabriel in an 8man battle royal to determine the #1 contender

Yeah I know what your saying. Why is this here at Wrestlemania? Well plain and simple, theres too much good future talent that I cant fit them all. And I know what your thinking. Ryder and DiBiase......future world champions? HAHAHA! Well Ryder's extremely talented and has great mic work, I can see him being a future world champ, and DiBiase just look back to his feud with Orton. As for Rhodes and Kofi I can see them easily both being world champs. ADR will definitely be a champion by then and Swagger's already been World Champ. As for Joe and Gabriel, well Hennig is really talented and if you have your doubts about Gabriel, Rey Mysterio.....nuff said.

Match 7 - Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre

Oh come on as if you havent thought about it. Sure it might be a slow match, but hey, theyre still green here in 2011, this will be 2016, im sure theyll be greater than they are now by then. Think of this as a modern day Batista vs HHH.

Match 8: WWE Tag Team Championship - Motor City Machine Guns vs John Morrison and The Miz (c)

Is it wrong to want MCMG to goto WWE? No? Ok nuff said, this match is one of my current REALLY WANT dream matches, and I know what your thinking: "Miz and Morrison a tag team again 5 years from now?" Well why not, by then theyll both have been established champs (2011 = Morrison) so the big dogs vs (in this case for them anyways) the underdogs. Guarenteed match of the night perhaps? I dont know, maybe its just me :D

Match 9 - CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan in a Last Man Standing Match

It's CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan......nuff said.

Match 10 - WWE Championship - Mason Ryan (c) vs Wade Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler and Barrett would probably be good enough but the stoyline here is Wade loses the title at the previous PPV to Ryan and Dolph won that years Royal Rumble. IDK it could go either really good, or really bad. Oh and for the sake of things the WWE and World titles will have been unified by now thanks to John Morrison :D

So thats my card without Cena, Orton, Edge, Mysterio, HHH, Taker, Christian, or Kane. What do you guys think would be good cards and what do you think about this one, would you buy it? Remember, we as fans must think of the future, and the future is almost everyone I mentioned.

I wouldn't buy it if it was just that card.

Wrestlemania always has legends involved and its supposed to be special. Nothing special about that IWC dream card.

And why is ORTON too old to be there when he's younger than CM Punk and the same age as Daniel Bryan and when he signed a 10 year contract with WWE in 2010 making him still under contract in 2016?

I'm sorry but I'm not really a fan of this plan at all. I think the thread was a good idea but I don't agree with hardly any of this.

First and foremost, you had no world title match, are you planning on getting rid of the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP? Or did you simply forget the longest reigning title in the WWE....

Secondly, Russel has a point. Orton will definitely still be in the picture. Weather its for the WWE Championship, or maybe a gimmick match, he will still be there for sure. For that matter you can't tell me that you don't think Cena won't still be around.

I do like the Morrison/Miz idea, but I feel like they need to face a more credible tag team. Wishful thinking possibly the Hardy Boyz, or maybe even the Hart Dynasty again. Maybe a legends tag team like Edge and Christian at that point.

I agree with IC title, and Divas. Make the Fatal Four way ladder match worth something, if not just make it money in the bank again. Cuz without a title or breifcase, what's the point. I like the battle royal, but make it 10 or 12 guys, get the jobbers on at Mania. Have them all start in the ring at the same time.

Make Sheamus McIntyre for the U.S. Title. And Modern day Batista/ HHH?......Please...

CM Punk v. Daniel Bryan... you're right, nuff said.

Finally your WWE Champ match... i don't think so. I'm pretty sure Mason Ryan is going to fall hard before he even comes close to a WWE title. He's not great on the mic and right now all he's got goin for him is looking like Batista. He honestly looks like an excited puppy. I like Barret in the Main event, but I'll be honest and say I think Cena will still be around for this match. They already have so much history, and they work so well together. I could see this being a huge rivalry renewed. Ziggler.... mayyyyyyybeeeeee for the World Heavyweight Title, MAYBE.

I know your point was about the Youth Movement, and I agree with about half of your matches. But you can't deny that Cena, Orton, and a few others won't still be around. I'm not saying I'm anymore right than you are, because truth be told, NO ONE knows what the Main event will be like at WM 32. Not even Vince.

Honestly that is only 5 years from now and I don't see Cena going anywhere by that time he is only in low 30's. You would really have to go much further into time to find that and I have a weird feeling Cena is going pull a Hogan or Flair on us and stick around way past his prime.

I think there will be people there that we have not seen yet and in ten years it will probably be Edges time to host WM as it will probably be in Toronto and he will be involved just like Rock is.

I really doubt MCMG will be in WWE i could actually see Beer Money there and it seems every person that Vince signs from TNA he buries them. Gail Kim for example, Christian hasn't gotten his push to ME yet when he should have he is far more interesting than Sheamus.

i think the first person from TNA that will get a push is Kong and she will be PG's Kamala but this time its a female, probably Kamala's sister.

As long as the storylines are good and the matches booked well it will be ok and as long as current stars are willing to give the rub to someone younger it will be ok.

I think we will have to look again at this in a few years to see where everything is at as i don't think looking at today's time. Who knows I could be wrong and by 2016 all those guys could be gone.

In my mind, this won't work at all. In 5 years there will be so many rising stars, that are probbably not even in wrestling. I'm gunna post a card with current members anyways but I'm not buying it...

that's a horrible card/ idea. Mason Ryan? He's not a future main eventer or champion. I'll buy Wade Barrett holding a title and Ziggler is a stretch. You think a lot of TNA guys are going to show up to WWE, no. Miz and Morrison won't be dropped into the mid card for a Tag Title match at Mania. I don't want to be a dick to you but I don't think this would work. John Cena will main event WM 32...ugh

I don't buy PPV's, I stream PPV's. But if I did, I would definitely buy this.

I would love to see Gen Me in WWE. They're not being used in TNA. So why not have them here? That is, if Vince keeps them together. Max and Jeremy are amazing talents.

I like the idea of Tyson vs. Brett for the IC title; but sadly I don't see Tyson staying around. It would be a really good match and it's good to see the I.C. Title get showcased at WM.

I dread the day Kelly Kelly gets the strap; but I have a crush on Kaitlyn and no matter what her ability is like, I get behind her.

The fatal four way ladder match looks really good. Haven't seen much of Crimson in TNA but during his squash match with Magnus he looked pretty impressive. Trent and Evan also would make a very good match right there.

I really like the #1 contender's match, seeing as how I am a fan of the majority of those guys in there and that should be a pretty damn good match.

What makes a wrestler green? I think Sheamus is one of your best big guys in the ring. I'm hoping Drew has a personality by then. He plays his character well in the ring but he doesn't entertain me with his moveset. I saw their match in FCW and they were pretty good.

I would love to see Miz and Morrison tag again. Those two were great with the Dirt Sheet but I honestly feel that it won't happen and are destined to remain singles competitors, if not faction leaders. MCMG is my favorite tag team in wrestling history so maybe this will be good.

You're right- C.M. Punk vs. Daniel Bryan- nuff said.

As far as your main event goes, I think Mason Ryan has potential. Afterall, it IS five years away. When anybody see the debut of Deacon Bautista in 2002, did you anybody here think future champion and that this would arguably be your second biggest star in the company? I sure didn't. Mason Ryan has a great look and he is still young.

I don't know why people don't think Ziggler is title material. He's excellent in the ring, his look screams main eventer and if nothing else, it's refreshing to know that he rose to the top the old fashioned way before he just got the belt handed to him.

I don't think this will be Barrett's first Mania that he'd be maineventing. He definitely has the mic skills for sure. I'm not dreading the day Wade Barrett becomes champ but I can't call myself a fan either.

Overall, that doens't look like a bad Wrestlemania card. It's refreshing to know that there is no Cena, HHH, Orton or Edge. Anything can happen in five years and like I said, I stream my PPV's, I don't buy them; but I would definitely buy this Wrestlemania.

You guys seemed to miss the point of the thread -___- I simply meant for this thread to be at a time where all of our current main eventers are gone and we only have the people WWE is pushing. I never said in 5 years this would happen, but I used Wrestlemania 32 as a guideline. And think about it, in 5 years anyone can accomplish anything so dont be stupid and say "Mason Ryan will get nowhere" look how long it took Orton Cena and Batista to get into the main event and how long they stayed there. And I did mentio it was a dream card no? ANYTHING can happen in the wrestling world. 2005 did anyone expect Kurt Angle to jump ship? I sure as hell didnt. Did anyone expect HBK to go from a tag team guy to one of wrestlings greatest performers? NO! Look back at 2002 when Cena debuted and tell me with a straight face youd see him as WWEs top guy in the year 2006 on up. You guys criticize my thread but fail to have seen the point in it, and didnt contribute at all. Complete failures.

On a side note thank you to those who gave positive feedback :)
