Break out the pickles, slather on the suntan lotion and get ready to pump those fists, WWE Universe: Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is going to WrestleMania. The reality television icon, New York Times best-selling author and Rolling Stone cover girl will join John Morrison & legendary Diva Trish Stratus to battle Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool in an explosive Six-Person Tag Team Match.

Crashing the party as special guest star of Monday Night Raw just three weeks before The Show of Shows, the self-proclaimed “Princess of Poughkeepsie” struck up an immediate rapport with The Prince of Parkour. Although Morrison is an admitted Jersey Shore fanatic, WWE’s resident “cougar” Vickie Guerrero made it clear that she is unimpressed by the pint-sized party girl’s outrageous MTV antics. But as fans of the popular series are already well aware, Snooki doesn’t take trash-talking lightly – especially from a “grenade” like Vickie.

When Vickie confronted Snooki in the locker room area and threatened to slap the reality star, the poof-coiffed powder keg unleashed on Vickie with a hard slap of her own. As they say in Seaside Heights, it was on.

Later that night, Vickie – with the help of Michelle McCool & Layla – defeated a returning Trish Stratus to join her so-called “business associate” Dolph Ziggler on Raw. After Vickie celebrated her questionable victory with Lay-Cool, Snooki emerged from her seat at ringside to acquaint the treacherous trio with her own patented brand of Jersey justice. Trish, a Tough Enough trainer and seven-time Women’s Champion, joined her fellow reality television star in the ensuing brawl, prompting Vickie to issue a bold WrestleMania challenge, proposing that Ziggler & Lay-Cool face Morrison, Trish & Snooki on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Never backing down from a challenge – whether it be a dance contest or a game of flip cup – Snooki spoke for her team and accepted.

Joining the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Mr. T, Pamela Anderson, Mike Tyson, and Donald Trump, Snooki is the latest pop-culture icon hoping to make an impact at The Show of Shows. Will her WrestleMania debut alongside Morrison & Trish – in her first WrestleMania match in five years – prove to be a “shore” thing? Or will Vickie & Lay-Cool send the diminutive Jersey Shore star back to the Garden State? To find out, tune in to WrestleMania, April 3, only on pay-per-view.

Well the rumors of a 6-person Mixed Tag Match came to fruition tonight but one major twist was thrown at us. Snooki will be one of the participants competing in the match.

Ok so I really have no idea what to say about this because this whole thing has publicity stunt written all over it and why do they have to be following in TNA's footsteps. I know WWE is able to get the biggest star from Jersey Shore while TNA can only afford the show's after thoughts but still, they're just using Shore names to try and get ratings and draws, but for me I don't see Snooki drawing very much for the show, but stanger things have happened.

I'm sure she won't have much time in the match and will probably chirp Vickie the whole time so I'm not completely down on this match. Also workers like Morrison and Ziggler will certainly help this match out a fuck ton and Lay-Cool and Trish are great workers in the diva's division. This is also Trish's first Mania in five years so I'm sure she's going to bring her A-Game come Mania. But the idea of having Snooki compete at Mania is still hard for me to even believe and consider.

Post your thoughts on WWE taking the TNA-route on their biggest show of the year. As if Bieber-fever wasn't bad enough now we have Shore to go right along with it.

That's right Ladies & Gents you read that right Snooki is wrestling on the Grandest Stage of them all. This goes to prove that Vince will do anything to get those 1mil buys he's got a hard-on for this year. Am i looking forward to this match? Yes but only for JoMo & Ziggles. Trish is awesome but she's only there because of Tough Enough. I HATE Laycool with the fiery passion of a thousand suns and Snooki as no business in the ring much less at WrestleMania.

Before anyone comes in here all pissy remember these few points.
1) Vince wants 1 million buys for WrestleMania this year

2) Like it or not Snooki is the 'Star' of the biggest 'Reality' Show on TV right now.

3) Putting Snooki in the ring probably got him a shit ton of buys & money.

Do I like it Not at all but i can see why Vince did it and knowing he'll do anything to get money/buys for WrestlMania I'm not surprised at all he went through with it.

What do you guys think about what will more than likely be the opener for 'Mania?

Edit: Shit I posted this 1 minute to late. Sorry guys (mods).

Glad to see that you got this thread up first.

This match will most likely be a let down, and not that entertaining. I believe this for one reason, Snookie and Vickie. They will most likely make this a really short match where at least a quarter of the match will have Snookie and Vickie in the match. The match should have some good parts to it though considering Trish and Lay Cool are some dominant female competitors and that Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison can both put on great shows. I'm only hoping that this match has at least 12 minutes to it, and features very little Snookie and Vickie. The fact that WWE keeps trying to have celebrites and all these returns to draw some attention is stupid. People aren't going to just start watching to see The Rock or some celebrity wannabe like Snookie, it wouldn't draw anymore viewers then the actual show itself.

This is just wasted the talent that is Ziggler and Morrison, and I'm sure there is a way better match you can find for Trish.

I really don't understand what Creative is thinking here. A mixed tag match? Morrison climbed the fucking Elimination Chamber. Ziggler was a heavyweight champion and you put them in a match involving Snookie? Do kids know who she is? Oh right, it's for adults...! It's not a PG banter this is simply a stupid move by creative who can't think for some reason. Why not have this separate? Why not have Snooki be the manager and have Kelly Kelly, and Trish against Laycool with Vickie as their manager while Ziggler and Morrison have a separate match. You just filled up 40 or so minutes with all the cutaways, promotions, and entances blah blah blah.

Seriously, I don't understand Creative sometimes.

First of all I want to say I would prefer Morrison vs. Ziggler one on one. That’s what I as a wrestling fan would enjoy at WrestleMania. With that said, I don’t have a problem with this match. This is WrestleMania and it’s not like this is the first time a celebrity has been used in this manner. People use the term publicity stunt like it’s a bad thing. Here’s a newsflash; WWE wants the publicity. If media outlets like E and TMZ pick up this story and give WrestleMania some free publicity I’m sure WWE will be happy. This gives both Morrison and Ziggler more attention than just throwing than into an overdone MITB clusterfuck. The die hard WWE fans are going to watch mania anyway. Something like this is intended to create a buzz and give mania some attention it would otherwise not receive.

The two guys with the biggest pushes not in the ME scene are getting shafted, two guys both who have the talent to put on one hell of a match and give us a wrestlemania moment are being wasted simply because WWE wants to have the fuckin stupid "celeberity match" at every wrestlemania thats what this is thanks alot wwe creative, now you have managed to put out all steam for Wade Barrett, Morrison, Ziggler who have been pushed hard and Sheamus who is now a midcarder after going up against HHH at mania.

I will say that I do understand that in most wrestlemanias, there is some outside "entertainment" star usually involved to try to attract viewers. I understand and accept that, even if they don't really belong around or near a wrestling ring.

But certainly they could have created a better situation than what just happened on raw, because nothing about it makes sense. It doesn't make sense that laycool would still be running around with vickie--maybe when she was running smackdown and they pretended to be her friend to curtail favors, sure. But she has no power now, why would they bother? Second, vickie suddenly has a job on raw now (which doesn't make sense because why would the raw general manager want her there), but ok, whatever. She just got "hired" by winning her match and she suddenly has the power to put together a mixed tag team event at wrestlemania? How in the world did that come about?

Third, even if we put all that aside, would dolph or morrison want to be in this match? Wrestlemania is supposedly the biggest stage of them all, wouldn't they be hoping to somehow get into a better, more high profile match, perhaps for a title? Why would they both agree to basically limit their options to this one dud of a match, where most folks will be taking their bathroom break?

Now I do understand sometimes the need to suspend disbelief, but this whole set up to me just makes no sense whatsoever.

Well, at least WWE is using Snooki for all she is worth. I don't think she will add any PPV buys to Mania, but at least it will give Mania some publicity. I would also rather see Morrison vs. Ziggler in a singles match, with possibly Trish teaming up with Beth Phoenix or Natalya. At least Snooki adds interest I guess.

I feel...like...I don't know. Part of me feels like men and women audition their whole lives to participate in an event such as WrestleMania and she gets it because she was punched in a bar two years ago. I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to be a fun match but I just can't get over the fact that Snooki is gonna be at WM 27 :lmao:

Fact: Snooki outdraws all of them. Jersey Shore rakes in about 8 Million viewers a week on MTV, and Snooki is one of the stars from the show. It's understandable that WWE would try and use her to attract the younger demographic that watches Jersey Shore to watch WM.

Hell even if they just streamed it, or watched only her match on Youtube, you never know they could pick up some fans. Snooki isn't gonna make WM buys skyrocket or go through the roof, but like the saying goes "any press is good press". Snooki is a tabloid and news entertainment god at the moment. Perez, TMZ, E!, Entertainment Tonight, Star Magazine, People, ect ect ect will most likely feature this. She's gonna attract interest good or bad.

Personally I think it won't do much good or anything, but I'm not up in arms about it either. Justin Bieber & Snooki cater to the younger/teen demographic WWE seems to want(because of advertising and such)so it makes sence.

I'd much rather have Morrison vs. Ziggler match and a LayCool vs. Trish(and Kelly or my dream Lita) match but I guess the WWE didn't see any pro's or buys putting Dolph/Morrison singles match on the card, so this is what we are getting. Snooki will probably hardly be involved, and hopefully Morrison/Ziggler and LayCool/Trish get some time since all 5 of them deserve it.

(And does anyone think this is just a huge jab at TNA. It's like WWE is mocking them for hiring Angelina, buy getting the most famous one and getting tons more publicity). I know WWE don't seem to care about TNA, ect....but I can see them doing it for shits and giggles to remind TNA where their place is.

I hate Jersey Shore and everything that is to do with it. That show is the reason I don't believe in God. If I was in a room with Hitler and Snookie and I had a gun with 2 bullets, I would shoot Snookie twice.

That being said, I don't hate this match. To my knowledge, Snookie has never wrestled before but she's already just as a good as Eve or Alicia. She won't hurt the match any more than those 2 hacks would. Trish gets to be at Mania, which is always a plus.

Then to top it off, you have Morrison and Ziggler, 2 definite up and coming guys with nothing going on at all up to this point getting a spot on the card in what will likely be a very highly publicized event.

It won't be a 5 star classic, but it wont be any worse than anything else to do with the Divas this year.

I can't believe I'm going to say this but bring on this match. I went into RAW last night hoping that Snooki would leave quietly and never be seen or heard from again, but I enjoyed her segments and thought she did a good job. Hell, she even pulled out a solid Thesz Press. I don't expect her to wrestle very much here, but she'll be involved in the finish, of that I have no doubt. It's also good to see Trish back at WrestleMania and we get both Dolph Ziggler & John Morrison on the card so I'm okay with this. Surprised that I feel that way.

This match is going to be a waste, but fun at the same time. I don't watch MTV nor do I care about this generation's product, but word has it that Snooki is a big deal when it comes to being a hot celebrity face. McMahon is putting it all down for those million buys and he's gonna get them from this matchup. I can frankly see Morrison and Ziggler work the bulk, where the finish is with Snooki pinning either Layla or Michelle. Also, I hate Vicki, I hate her teeth, and her voice, but if she garners that much heat anytime she says a syllable, then WWE has viewers, but not viewers listening.

I'm of two minds about this.

Like most others, I would most definitely prefer a singles match between Dolph Ziggler & John Morrison. That in and of itself has the potential to be a show stealing match.

As far as the whole thing with Snooki goes, I'm not completely sure at this time. This could actually come out to be far better than a lot of people are expecting or it could be every bit as bad as a lot of people fear. It mostly depends on how the WWE decides to utilize Snooki in this match.

If Trish Stratus & John Morrison handle the VAST majority of the match, then things will probably turn out to be pretty damn good. I'd say that Trish has gotten back into the swing of things, both Layla & Michelle McCool are good in the ring and we know Ziggler & Morrison can bring it. So as long as they don't actually try to give Snooki any serious ring time, this could work.

I'm not a fan of Jersey Shore at all, I've tried to watch it a few times and walked away a little dumber each time. It might be trash, but it's a phenom at this point. The show is most likely a fad that will die down soon so I can't exactly blame the WWE for utilizing the show's popularity along with its most well known cast member to garner mainstream publicity for WrestleMania. Unlike TNA with it's use of Jersey Shore cast members, it looks as if the WWE is going to get the very most that they can from Snooki.

All in all, I'm just not sure about it all though. I'm optimistic about this going in because this doesn't have to be a bad match at all. I'm just hoping that the WWE realizes that too.

Don't diss the match before you see it, i think it'll be a good match, with jomo & dolph dong their high flying moves will be amazing and then trish and laycool will be great aswell but i'm thinking vickie will come down and her and snooki will fight off.

Like it or not but what TNA can do, the WWE can do 10x better. TNA booked JWoww & Angelina crap but with Snooki, they are putting her on the biggest stage of them all and she is the biggest reality star at the minute.

This will deffiently be the first match of the night.

Are they honestly trying to say that they had NOTHING else better for Morrison and Ziggler to do at Wrestlemania?? Instead of having Money in the Bank, which was by far the most anticipated match, you have this? Not to mention that there are at least 10 guys in the back without a match. Wrestlemania is looking weak. does this mean I'll forgo my ticket? Hell no. But for Odin's sake, it really shows that Creative(yeah right) is struggling for Mania.

I really don't get the appeal of Jersey Shore and am not a fan of the show, but I wouldn't be too quick to pan this match just because Snooki's involved.

That Lou Thesz press she did on RAW was pretty impressive, and she's also going to be in the ring with - and presumably receive some training/coaching from - one of the most gifted and athletic performers in the WWE today in John Morrison and one of the most decorated and talented women, IMO, to EVER be involved with pro wrestling/sports entertainment in Trish Stratus.

Trish has elevated the game of nearly every Diva/female wrestler (including some women who had very little wrestling talent) she's been in the ring with, and I wouldn't expect anything to be different with regards to Snooki. This match very well could turn out to be a sleeper (hit) if the WWE actually puts some effort into it, which I'm expecting they will given that they're already publicly touting Snooki's appearance at 'Mania.

You've also got Michelle McCool (who is, IMO, one of the most talented Divas/female wrestlers to come onto the scene since Trish) and Dolph Ziggler, who is also amazingly talented, involved, which should up the quality of this match as well. The weakest link in the chain for this match, IMO, is Layla (she's got SOME talent, but she's not nearly on the level of Trish and Michelle), but I wouldn't be surprised if they also used her to 'coach' Snooki/help make up for the latter's lack of in-ring experience.

Lots of cramming going on here by the looks of it, but not a terrible idea. I doubt the match will last that long, and as long as Ziggler and Morrison get in a bit of action that'll do me.

Does seem a bit of a shame that two guys who were in the main event picture so recently are playing second fiddle in what is essentially a Diva Fest. The focus is hardly on them here. They're clearly in there to throw in a few exciting spots and to keep them relevant.

But you can't have everyone in the main event, and sadly I don't think Morrison Ziggler is a big enough draw at Mania, plus, they haven't had enough time to stoke up a meaningful feud.

So yeah, it makes sense i guess, but Snookie? Egh! :-/

I just went and watched the last 'wrestler vs. celebrity' match that the WWE put on (Big Show vs. Mayweather), and it was actually a pretty decent, if not good, match, mainly because the WWE put some effort into booking it right so that neither man looked bad; if they put at least as much effort into this 6-person mixed tag match as they did into the Show vs. Mayweather match, my predictions of it not being nearly as bad a match as some people might expect could very well come true.

I think match is a great idea. Snooki brings another mainstream star to this WrestleMania and it seems as if this is the event that will finally get Vince his 1,000,000 buys. Would I have preferred Ziggler vs Morrison in a singles match? Yeah, I guess. But let's face it, it would have just been another midcard match. The addition of Snookie and Trish Status beings an interest to this match other thn just two really good wrestlers. It goes from just another match to a match that fits in with the spectacle of WrestleMania. I'm looking forward to this match and it should be a lot of fun.

I don't see the harm in beinging Snooki in. You might say that Beth Phoenix or Gail Kim or some other random Diva should be in the match. But they don't draw. Snooki does. And she is infinitely more interesting than most of the Divas, hell, most of the roster, can ever dream of being. This should be a lot of fun.

As soon as I saw Snooki with Trish I said, "damn, there gonna have her do something at WM", that being said I don't mind this match that much. Only complaint I have is if your going to have a throw away match involving Snooki, why not just Trish and Snooki with a 3rd maybe Kelly Kelly or Natalya against LayCool and Vicki, why stick Dolph and Morrison in this match? I know they may be pressed for time, but why not give these two they're own match?I think the majority of the match will be those two, but still it seems pretty stupid to put these guys in what is otherwise diva circus, hopefully they'll let Dolph rid himself of Vicki after this and Morrison and Dolph will have a real feud.

This match is going to be purely entertaining from start to finish. You have Snooki wrestling, you have Laycool who are always entertaining, you have the best female wrestler of all time in Trish, and you have Morrison and Ziggler who will steal the show with their athletic and sometimes extreme abilities. Don't be surprised if this is one of those surprise hit matches. Funny because of all the stuff going on in this match and the fact I'm a big fan of Morrison and Ziggler this is now my second most anticipated match at WM27.

Imo it will steal the show.

I am surprisingly looking forward to this match. I wish they would have found something better for Morrison and Ziggler for Wrestlemania, but at least they got on the card and are doing something which is all that matters. It's going to be great seeing Trish again at Mania as well. I expect JoMo and Ziggler to control the better part of this match with maybe Snooki coming in at the very end for the pin.

Despite all the negativity Snooki gets, she is one of the biggest celebrities at the moment and this was a great decision by WWE getting her on their biggest card. I expect a very entertaining match

It's these kind of announcements that make me glad I watch PPVs for free.

There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said; Snooki's in WM to try and up the buyrates, Money in the Bank shall be missed and Morrison and Ziggler definitely deserve better.

Ziggler was doing a fine job on Smackdown in his chase for the gold, even (arguably) putting on the best match of the night with Edge at the Royal Rumble. Since then he gets "fired", misses Elimination Chamber then his next PPV appearance is as part of a mixed tag team! That's unbelievable!

Morrison doesn't have that same drop in form so it doesn't seem as bad; Rumble participant then Chamber participant then the mixed tag.

It's a shame that WWE aren't giving two young guys like Morrison and Ziggler the chance to go out and just wrestle for the sake of it at their biggest PPV. Yes yes yes they are about ENTERTAINMENT these days, but the WRESTLING is what makes them different to everything else. Like I said, it's a shame.

I think this sucks completely, when I read the spoilers I was with high hopes on the bout Ziggler/Morrison. It deserves a one on one match at the biggest event that professional wrestling has to offer. If WWE wanted so bad Snooki they coul'dve put her as JoMo's manager: John Morrison with Snooki vs Dolph Ziggler with Vickie Guerrero. And of course having Trish vs McCool NOT Lay-Cool.

Anyway, I'm pissed with this match, until the moment I was quiet happy for the Mania card, now we have taken from the equation a great midcard match and a great return and match as far the divas are concerned. It¡s obvious that Snooki's team is going to win... but besides that this is probably the only match that I don't give a fuck.
