Womens Division in TNA?

Within the past few weeks, we have seen many hints that TNA is pushing a new womens division in the near future:

1) Last week James Storm yelled at Gail Kim "...there is no women's division here, Gail."
2) Ms. Jackie comes to TNA and attacks Gail Kim at Final Resolution.
3) Christy Hemme's rant about "wanting to wrestle" at Final Resolution.

My question is:

How do you think it will go over with the fans?

And when do you think we will see these ladies in action?

Or do you even care? lol

I say, We will see thehm Wrestle in Mid 2007,IMO TNA can produce good women wrestling Match, better then WWE, Well not right away but if they get a few better wrestlers and not models then they Might be respected.

I got no problems with a women's division in TNA. What I do have a problem with is what the hell is Christy Hemme doing that rant of her's for during the VKM spot. I like christy and all but for god's sake. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!!!! You could even tell the crowd was getting confused and by the end, were fed up with it. It was like Kip and BG tried to save the blasted thing.

I wouldnt hate it, as long as it wasnt like the WWE womens division where it is just bra and panties matches constantly and the women are models who can do awkward looking kicks and spears. I would like to see Jazz in the TNA womens division. Making it credible.

I think that if they can sign Lita then they're good to go. Of course, a few more good divas wouldn't hurt and if Trinity had stayed along with Mickie James that would've been great. Also, think of their division. Lita, Gail Kim, Ms.Jackie, Jackie G. It's pretty good but like I said, a few more good ones couldn't hurt.

for all of you dissing the women's division in WWE - when last i looked, every "knock out" from TNA was once a part of the WWE, and they sucked, and were rightfully gotten rid of.

but anyway, all i have to say is UGH. that was one of the things i liked most about TNA, no womens matches. now theyre going to squeeze those into an already jam packed hour long show? nooooooooooooo

I have no problem with a women's division if it's about wrestling. I'm not intrested in Bra and Panties match's. If I want to see women in bra's I'll have a wank over WWE Diva's In The Caribbean. There's plenty of good female wrestler's out there. A lot of them might not be model material but does that really matter. Iwould much rater watch a fat Japanese woman wrestle than Candice Michelle.

I do think they should wait though, with only an hour of T.V. a week and with the X-Division been niglected they should wait until they get two hour's I.M.O.

i don't believe that now is the right time for a women's division. they still only have a one hour show and alot of things to put on it already. i think that instead of a women's division, they should utilise what they already have... the X division, it's something that they really have going for them that the competition doesn't have.

They prolly left the womens division in WWE because thats all that it is, being sexy, bra and panties,fufill your fantasy. I dont know about anyone else, but i prefer my porn seperate from Wrestling. TNA's womens division could work because alot of them are talented. I dont really know if i wanna see a womens belt quite yet though, a few women matches a night maybe but a full belt is something to be discussed.

the women's division won't be bad, if they don't show shit like bra and panties matches. it has to be no limits matches. if they make it kinda of like the x division with high flying and actual wrestling there'll be no problem with the women's division. but then again thats my personal opinion.

In response to the person who stated that adding the women's division into an hour show, well there is talk of making TNA 2 hours long, but its still in the works.

I dont mind them getting a women division but here my thing do it right try to get some of the girls from Shimmer and what not girls like Cheerleader Melissa and really give it a go so far they have Gail who is good she can go in the ring same with Jackie can go so we will see how thing go but I hope we get some real womens wrestling and not just another version of WWE's

It's not like if they have a women's division that it would be bad matches. It would be as good as it could get when it comes to women wrestlers. Traci Brooks is a good woman wrestler. Jacqueline is a good woman wrestler. I think Gail Kim is the best woman wrestler even better than Trish Stratus was. Christy can't wrestle at all though. Sirelda is good as well. That means that they would have four good women wrestlers that could put on at least decent matches. I feel they'd need a two hour slot first, but it would be a good move. Also, there's been rumors of TNA wanting Lita so if they got her that'd be five good woman wrestlers which is really all they need.

Even if they are good wrestlers it's still boring to me personally, and I would rather watch more talented male wrestlers. If TNA wants to add the "sexy girlfight" appeal then they should set up mixed tag matches. Women divisions are small and always have the same 3 or 4 people competing in terrible matches regardless of how good they are. I think it's a waste.

When was the last time the WWE had a 'bra and panties' match on TV?
They are actually having some decent matches compared to what we have seen in the past. TNA could have a a decent division, but having Hemme be the spokes person for it? A women with decent talent like Gail Kim should be the one fronting it.

Well welcome to the Forums. And that just made me think of a new match; The Stripper Pole Scaffold Match! They wrestle on a scaffold above the ring with a pole running down from it to the ring, and the loser has to slide down the pole and strip! lol!

I would love to see a women's div. on TNA personally. As a female trying to become a wrestler, WWE is up and down with the ladies. Some of them are incredible, others are just glorified strippers. TNA already has some of the most athletic women in the industry, Gail Kim for one. I agree with everyone that has suggested picking up some new talent, like Lita (who rocks in the ring). But until there is a definate women's div., they won't be able to get that talent. I think TNA could get a really strong corner on the market if they start a Women Div. that focused on wrestling instead of stripping. It would appeal to a whole audience that get's annoyed w/ WWE's version of a Women's Div.

I recently started a thread on jillian hall and her wrestling skills and her predicament on smackdown. Jillian is probably one of the best high flyers in the womens divison today. probably more so than lita at this stage of her career. the problem with wwe is that they have her jobbing to worthless divas like ashley and lelya. and their ban on high risk moves kills jillians moveset. I suggested that maybe she move to TNA where she could prosper and reach her full potenial. I also stated that due to several divas leaving due to mistreatment, ie. molly, ivory or others that were held down, victoria, TNA could sign these divas away from WWE and start a REAL women's divison with actual wrestling unlike the shit I see on smackdown and raw, allthough raw has picked up a little but not much.
