Womens Division in TNA?

I'd be all for a women's division if wrestling was the high priority and not an ample serving of gratuitous ass-shots and skimpy outfits, all the while the talented women can't do anything remotely worthwhile because you have airhead wonders who can't differentiate their ass from a hole in the floor when it comes to wrestling. In the last five years, the cumulative number of women wrestlers I actually enjoyed watching in WWE can only be counted on one hand. That, and Trish Stratus had the absolute dumbest finisher I think I've ever seen a woman use. They need to sign Jazz right away now that she's free from the WWECW disaster. They should also spend the money and import women from Japan because NO ONE can outwork the Japanese ladies currently.

The backstage brawl between Gail and Jackie on Impact this week was better than the majority of actual womens matches in WWE. :)
I'm in definite agreeance with you on this one. They were working very stiff and had a brawl that could actually pass for one of the men's brawls, which is definite proof as to how @$$-backwards the WWE women's division is configured. IF TNA does go through with a women's division they better make workrate the word of the hour. I don't mind hot chicks in wrestling...but if they can't wrestle, they need to take a cue from Elizabeth and stay the f**k out of the ring.

I'd like to see womens matches, but only if theyre legit matches and not just "eye candy" matches like in WWE

TNA already has some pretty talented wrestlers on the roster (I don't know why everyone says Christy can't wrestle because I remember she was getting pretty good on SmackDown! before they shitcanned her), and with the proper setup, real wrestling instead of eyecandy bullshit, and a two hour show, it could be a new step in the right direction for TNA.

I think a womans division would be a great idea. One reason i dont watch TNA is because of the lack of womens matchs and the fact that until a couple of weeks agi TNA was shown on The Wrestling Channel in the UK and was always like a month behind. Christy Hemme was quite good just before her release and i believe has been training since then, everyone knows what Ms Tenesse, Gail Kim and Ms Brooks can do and with the possiblilty of Lita Signing then a womans division is very probable.

My First Post ooooo!!!!!

Christy Hemme has come leaps and bounds since her WWE days, if you watch some of her matches now, you will see she has really improved and adopted this excellent lucha libre style. As for a TNA Women's Division I think it is an excellent idea considering that is the only thing WWE has that TNA doesn't. I can see the Women's Division being much better than WWE's considering it'll be full of chicks that know how to wrestle rather than just one or two women dominating the belt, storylines and the division!

I agree I think she was learning quickly. It took Trish year's to learn to be a capable wrestler. Christy given the oppertunity could surpass Stratus I.M.O. She seem's eagre to learn and she has plenty of charisma. She's the only positive thing to come out of the Diva Search.

As I've stated before, I'm all for a women's division, if they're actually capable of working. I don't want to sit around watching someone have to LEARN how to work on Impact. That's what happens on Raw and Smackdown each week with the "divas" and it is insulting to have to sit through. Not just to the viewer, but to the wrestlers in the back who can actually wrestle and not climb into the ring to embarrass themselves on a regular basis like the Divas do.

Jackie, Gail, and Jazz would all be a solid start to a women's division in TNA (and they need to snap up Jazz yesterday), but as for Christy, I still think she sucks in the ring, as I thought the same of Trish. I hold them to the same standards I do the men, because of the way I see it, if they're going to share airtime, I still want to see quality wrestling out of them, regardless of their gender. Long gone are the days of Luna and Madusa, so I really don't see any other way than to grab any credible indy workers they can find, while doing what WCW did and importing Japanese ladies that can actually work (Akira Hokuto was the best example). The last thing I want is to flip on TNA a year from now and watch the same type of shoddy female wrestling that has become entirely too commonplace within the WWE.

I'm agreeing with Kasey. If they want a women's division don't make it all eye candy. Vince Russo has always been about eye candy but in a recent interview on Tnawrestling.com he stated when TNA starts a Womens division it wont be eye candy but more wrestling. TNA has a few good women wrestlers. Jackie Gayda when she comes back, Jaqcueline, Christy Hemme(who has been training) and Gail Kim. Those are all there great women wrestlers. They could sign Lita to be the leader of the womens divison. Lita already signed with UWF and TNA and UWF used to cross promote so I'm sure Hermie won't hesisitate to drop a good name for TNA and Lita.

Also TNA and AAA are currently cross promoting so TNA can sign some women wrestlers from their or even book some from their. AAA has some good looking Divas with alot of in ring skill. Not one Diva from AAA sucks when it comes to being in the ring. But I hope this womens division doesn't flop like WWE's has. Also signing Jazz who was recently released would be a good plus.
