Will Evan Bourne Ever Win A Title In WWE?

I love Bourne , when I went to a house show , I had a sign with his name on it and he pointed at me. Anyway , he was in the middle of a push but he got injured and got lost in the shuffle and for him to win his first title I think he will hv to move to SD!and win the IC championship and maybe the WHC. The closest he came I think was in ECW against matt hardy.

I like Evan Bourne he's good in ring, exciting to watch, but without vocal skills and he really lacks i can't see him go further than US championship. He gets more airtime than people think which is good. I'd like to see something more serious done with him.

Evan Bourne has been a wrestler for 11 years, he's a veteran at only 28.
I think he could definately handle the world title but overall WWE needs to be careful with him and realize that modesty doesn't =laziness. Many people like him I've heard but Vince doesn't see him as a believeable champion

Yes I still believe Bourne will hold a title in the WWE. I'm just surprised it hasn't happened yet in fact I thought he was set to get a run with United States title last year but that never came to be. I'm sure in however long it takes for him he will eventually hold the United States Championship first. The only other person I can see taking it off of Dolph Ziggler eventually is Alex Riley it's a toss up between those two for the next face champion.

I don't know if he will ever make it to a world championship one day but you can never count anything out in the WWE but than again you can also never guarantee a damn thing either. All I know is that by the time he has finished a career with the E' Bourne will most likely have multiple mid-card and tag team title reigns under his belt and who knows maybe one day he may just pull of the big one when it's all said and done.

If Rey Mysterio can become world champion? Then why not Evan?

Let's compare the two :

1 - They're both great aerial wrestlers(Well, Rey was in his prime, now he just has to retire to be honest).

2 - They both lack mic skills.

3 - They're both very over with the crowd because of their wrestling style.

I know Rey represents Mexico and all.. but if the WWE made him one of their all time greats then why not atleast give Evan a good U.S. title push? I honestly think he'll be a midcard champion at best, which is really sad considering he has amazing talent.

And I can totally see him winning the U.S. belt from Ziggler, I don't think they would give it to Kingston again so Bourne would be a good choice.

If the cruserweight was still around he'd be in that teir as a champion. I love Bourne and his work and hes great but Vince likes "Big guys" 100% homo, and i doubt he'll ever get any further than tag team or US/Intercontinental.

A singles title? Not at this rate. A tag team title? Sure, why not?

Evan Bourne is good. In fact, I love his in-ring work. However, when it comes to character, he absolutely sucks. He sucks beyond belief because he doesn't have a character. The fact that he can't talk convincingly is another problem. How are you supposed to hold a singles title if you can't cut a decent promo? You can't, is the answer. People use the argument that Evan's fellow little man Rey Mysterio can't talk. his couldn't be further from the truth. Not only is Mysterio competent on the mic, he's also a good character.

This is where a tag team championship comes into things. In a tag team (presumably an ad hoc one), Bourne can rely on someone else to be the character of the team. To be the voice of the team. I'd quite like to see him team with the Big Show. That would be a pretty good team with a nice dynamic to it.

So a tag team championship run is well within the realms of possibility, while a singles championship run is not at the moment. And this is coming from a fan of Evan Bourne.

No.

Simple really, he's too small to win the belt, harsh but the truth.
Would I pay to watch him as champ? HELL YES I would, he's exciting and fun to watch, he's over with the fans but imagine this headline on WWE's website.

BOURNE PINS CENA/ORTON TO BECOME WWE/WORLD CHAMPION....

It doesn't fit some how, this is why WWE needs a light-heavyweight championship for guys like him who DESERVE a title push but won't get it due to their hight/weight.

If Daniel Bryan can with the US Title than so can Evan Bourne, so yes he CAN in fact win a singles title in the WWE.

With that said he will never get above a midcard title, I would say the US title is the best that people should expect Evan Bourne to achieve. He is great in the ring but lacks size, mic skills and overall charisma that is needed to become a main event champion (although to be fair that hasn't stopped others from winning the WHC) but I think his size will overall kill him at the end of the day.

To answer the question yes he can win a singles title, I've seen a lot worse than Evan Bourne win a midcard title but I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing him win the WWE title or the World Heavyweight title, its just not in the cards for him.

Anyone that ever gets put on the main roster could eventually become a champion of some sort, and Evan Bourne is no exception. However, I can't see him winning anything other then the Tag Titles at this point, he's got no charecter, and he's way to small for a believeable push nowadays. I wish to god they'd revive the Cruzierweight title, but that won't happen, so talent like Bourne and so many others might end up leaving the WWE someday, months or years down the road, without a single title run under their belts, no pun intended.

I think he will eventually win the US or tag titles (or IC if hes ever drafted). Hes just too small to be a credible WWE or WHC, and hes never really given us anything on the mic. To me he will always be a midcarded, a great one nonetheless, but still a midcarder.

He's already beaten former World Champion, Jack Swagger, on a number of occasions.

Before he got injured, he was teaming with John Cena and John Cena was backing him backstage. Who knows how far that could have gone.

I think Evan Bourne should feud with Dolph Ziggler for the United States Championship, they would have some great matches.

A Heavyweight title? No, never. Out of the realm of possibility. His style, size, and lack of charisma guarantee that he'll never become a world champion. Rey Mysterio was a small high flyer, but he knew how to connect with the fans on a big level. Bourne hasn't proven that ability.

A mid-card title? It's very possible. That's not saying much as every guy on the current roster has a chance of gaining a mid-card title. He could catch on a get a small run with one of the titles someday.

Don't expect more than that, though.

He is boring. Aside from his high spots in the ring, he does nothing for me. Music sucks, he is 3 foot tall and his stick skills are HORRIBLE and he sounds like a girl. He comes out with a fake smile on and its so obvious he is "acting" . There is so many other guys deserving straps before him.

Why should he have a belt? Because he flips upside down?

Him and Morrison are the two most over rated all around wrestlers to me. They both can wrestle good matches but THATS IT. Chavo could, primo could. I could go on and on naming wrestlers that CAN WRESTLE but wont get big. So why does Bourne deserve it?

People expecting Evan Bourne to be a WWE champion are delusional. Rey Mysterio being the only cited champion of similar size, had 2 circumstances around his world title runs that are for another topic.

Evan Bourne could be a relevant US/IC Champion, the crowd's behind him enough.
World Title? No chance in hell, He hasn't displayed to me a reason he should be champion, a run with the title at this point would hurt him more than help him.

He could be midcard champion and be good at it but as it was mentioned before he has zero skill on the mic. Until he evolves on the mic he is stuck.

There are talks of putting the US Title on him, but I don't know if they will. I think there is a possibility of it, the fans, for the most part, love Evan, he gets a decent pop for a guy that has spent most of the last year either being injured or jobbing to other people. I for one like Evan and can tell that a lot of the guys backstage do as well, like last year when Jericho got beat by him a couple times, Jericho was trying to give him the rub, after he left though his push stopped suddenly. All that it takes is for some one who matters backstage to say "This guy needs a push, let me help him." They do that and they don't kill it mid way through I can easily see him being US or IC champion. I don't see him as WWE or WHW champion though cause Vince loves big guys, even though Evan is more talented than any of those big guys, he isn't one of them, so Vince won't do it.

I liked Bourne on the indy circuit. He's cool in the E, but he's not going to b a World or WWE champion. He's great in the ring, but he has zero mic skills that I know of but they don't give him the mic too often. He's over with the crowd to a certain extentbut I don't think je can hold anyone's interest if he was the main storyline of a show. I can see him as a US champion and tag title holder. I think he and Gabriel would be a great team. I wish the wwe would bring back the cruiserweight division; he would be the main guy there.

Evan Bourne is 5ft9 & 183 lbs, he's been a wrestler for 11 years and got his wrestlinng license at age 17 and plus he is a real nice guy watch his interview/podcast with Colt Cabana. Evan/Matt deserves it because he has background and he's been in WWE for 4 years now.

Why does everyone on here think that every "new and young" wrestler needs the world heavyweight or WWE title? or to be in the main event? They don't need the main event to be good or fun to watch.. there's lots of jobbers / midcarders that I enjoy.. I mean, it's like if they're not main eventing, or holding one of the heavyweight titles.. they're not getting pushed, or they're being "buried."

anyway... I don't think he will ever win a heavyweight title.. but I could see him winning the IC or US title.. heck, maybe even the tag titles... I'd like to see the cruiserweight title return for guys like him, Sin Cara and whoever else that could be in that division

I sure as hell believe he deserves one at this point. Hes very agile and hes over with the crowd, he probably will never turn heel as far as i can tell. Hes a great talent, one of the reasons i tune into Raw every week, i just want him to be in a meaningful fued.

I mean i really dont believe he will ever be a World champ, ever. Hes never picked up a mic in WWE, but hes such a great high flyer and his matches are always a treat to watch that it doesnt even matter to me. Most likely he will be in the US title hunt seeing as how hes on Raw.

Now, what i really want to see is something along the lines of a tag team, like MCMG, those guys are so damn good. Finding a high flyer, young guy like Evan whos a high flyer and really fun to watch. Pair Evan up with him and we could have an awesome tag team with meaning. I want to say Sin Cara at the moment, only so Cara can get a title belt as well, I mean Sin Cara cant even speak English. (from what i heard) So it would make sense, but i believe WWE will keep them separate so maybe they can compete against each other for the US or IC title, but they are both on different brands so.....Damn, hey i thought it was a good idea.

All in all, yes he will and he should win a title already.

He's already beaten former World Champion, Jack Swagger...

I could beat Jack Swagger. He's nothing now.

Honestly for some strange reason I can see Evan Bourne claiming the Money in The Bank. Look at it like this, hes being pushed; not in a great way, I admit, but hes been on the last pay-per-view, and has feature on RAW how many weeks in succession? I think on estimation about eight.

Hes had matches with guys like Cara, which was a good match, hes been placed in a limelight for some unexplained reason. So whose to say WWE are not pushing him for the Money in The Bank briefcase? Vince McMahon is supposedly against smaller guys beating the big guys cleanly, so what better way to get the belt on a smaller guy like Sydal than to have him cash in the briefcase?

I don't know. Personally, as of late hes been getting a push and it has to be to something. And I can just see WWE giving one of the MiTB's to a face wrestler. Bourne would be a pretty smart bet.

I can see Bourne winning either the United States or Intercontinental Championship. He will probably be a midcarder his whole caree but he would be great for opening PPV's with midcard title defences to get the crowd excited. I doubt he will ever get further than that though due to his size and lack of mic skills.

Personally, i don't think he will. Even though they aren't as valuable as they used to be, the purpose of a mid card title is to see how a superstars acts and looks with a title around him, and to see whether one day they could become a future world champion. And lets be honest, Bourne will never become a world champion.

I like him, and he is very talented in the ring, but he is just one of those guys who has the look of a cruiserweight, and compared to guys like Cena and Orton, they look so much more intimidating and bigger than him. I'm not ruling out a championship for him, i just don't think he will. He might win the tag titles with someone else, and he might win the US Championship, but if he does win the US Championship, he is just one of those guys you expect to drop the title at the next PPV if he was the champion.

I like the high flyers like evan bourne who takes risks to entertain the wweuniverse but I want to see him get a title shot at the united states title or the IC title he deserves it with his hard work and work ethic
