Why does everyone here keep watching the WWE? I watch it for the entertainment, and just for the fact that it is still really interesting. For those that always shit on the WWE, I will be interested to know what keeps you watching.

I don't watch all the time which helps. I watched it all the time from the start of 1999 right to when WCW was bought. I stopped for a little while. I still payed somewhat attention to it, but I didn't start watching it weekly until Summerslam 2003 again. But over the past few months I've been drawn away from it. Once you see ROH, you just can tell why the WWE sucks. I don't find a lot of what they do entertaining. I just see terrible jokes, politics being played, and a lot of people being fooled into what's good. That's why ROH is where it's at.

I'm either waiting for a major change or probably the comeback of a big superstar, preferabaly Chris Jericho...even though I know it won't be soon. I'm waiting for all these other crap storylines to end.

Agreed, I keep watching just because of the mark-out feeling you get when a legend returns or your favorite wrestler finally gets that push. Im willing to put up with the hours of crap for that

Loyalty...I've been watching wrestling since I was 2 years old. Yeah, there is a lot of crap in WWE, but I can appreciate the entertainment value, not to mention I totally respect what each and every man in wwe can do.

yea i agree with the guy above...ive been watching wrestling way back since i can remember....the problem is that wwe has evolved over the years to something that has to connect with todays world...we see reality shows on tv with drama and all that nonsense....wwe use to be pure wrestling but a show involving just pure wrestling with out ENTERTAINTMENT would not even make it on television....the crappy storylines are what give the wwe its ratings...ive seen a couple on the forum talk about how they show more interaction and storyline acting more then wrestling....it is has to connect with todays world...that is why its call wwe...world wrestling entertainment....its a mixture of entertainment some funny some shitty some ok...with wrestling...which i love...but thats y i keep watching...the hopes of something better coming along...like we've seen over the years in the wwe there is times wen they are put in slumps but they pull out..from andre to hogan to austin to the rock to todays superstars the hope of something more amazing coming along makes me keep watching along with the current entertainment and wrestling shown....

There are diamonds in the rough every now and again. Sometimes (roughly every fourth or fifth show for me) there are some good things that happen and some solid matches to speak of. A couple of Raws ago I was pleasantly surprised with the IC title four way match featuring Benjamin, Nitro, and couple of others. On the average, I can't stand most of what's going on, but every now and again, I'm pretty surprised and see some good stuff. I keep watching because I've learned one thing and that is that the wrestling business goes in cycles of quality and overall interest. I've been hooked on this stuff since I was about four years of age, and although my interest has waned at times...I just keep coming back to watch. One day, I think the majority of the WWE shows will probably entertain me like they once did.

I can seriously say this.. I only watch Raw for like 4 reasons.. #1. HBK. #2. Cryme Time. #3 Candince and Torrie. #4. Edge and #5. Carlito.. Other then that.. Due to the snooze fest shows it has been putting up, I honestly cant find a reason to watch it.. For some reason, I think when HBK retires, I may stop watching Raw unless they bring in someone exciting, or make the show more exciting.. As for SD!.. I just love that show. Great wrestling, great storylines, and always keeps you intrested, even with The Boogeyman.. Smackdown imo has a bright future ahead of them with the likes of The Miz, Gregory Helms, Matt Hardy, Kennedy and even Rey Rey.. Now to move onto ECW.. 2 things... Well actually 3... First, RVD.. I love this guy.. Hes an outstanding performer, and still deserves to be a champ.. #2.. Cm Punk.. I really want to see this guy grow into a literal superstar.. And last but not least.. Im intrested in seeing where ECW is going to go.. I really think, its going to be a big show, just within time.. The thing is Vinny Mac cant get impatient and just kill it.. He needs to work with it for 5 or maybe 10 years for it to be success..

I watch because there is no real alternative.TNA still has a long way to go in my opinion,ROH doesnt have the "Superstar" element(while of course they do ahve talent) that makes wrestling what it is today and WWE has like most of the history of wrestling.They are very few legends who created a name for themselves without have gone through the WWE,Sting is the only guy I can think of.

i watch TNA because its good, great matches/characters/shows, i watch ROH/CZW for the talent (not the 'lets use loads of lighttubes and thumbtacks and glass and fire and just bleed' matches that saturate CZW's main events, but there lower card stuff is great), i watch WWE because its there, its wrestling and like others have said in this topic, they sometimes get it right, and there was a reason why WWE was good at one point and some of the talent and brilliance that shined through at the point when they were on top, comes through every now and then, and when it does its great entertainment. I do Watch there ECW brand each week as it is more passable than Raw or smackdown. Raw and Smackdown i only watch when i read something in Spoilers/results that i deem Good/interesting.

Honestly, I watch it because I like wrestling. Allow me to elaborate...

I like wrestling. Are WWE programs wrestling? Somewhat. I find myself angered most of the time by the overblown skits, pointless/terrible character developments, and half-assed wrestling. But as with any good fan, a glimmer of hope always overcomes the negative.

I watch Raw...well...I don't know why I watch Raw. I guess the only reason why I watch Raw is hoping that they'll allow Shelton to do something.

I watch SD for several reasons: Finlay, Regal, and all the cruisers. Wonderful performers

I watch ECW primarily for Rob Van Dam and CM Punk. Those are two of the top performers in wrestling today

I hate it when i'm watching wrestling and someone who dosent watch wrestling makes a comment about how fake and dumb wrestling is. I call these people "non wrestling fans", duh of course you would call them this. They make these comments while i'm enjoying all the action and they just don't "get it" like wrestling fans do. Proffesional wrestling is suppose to be a fun silly pass time. And a lot you people have become or i'm sorry excuse me......starting to become just like these "non wrestling fans" in the way you precieve wrestling, enjoy it and view it. And in many other ways as well. I would'nt be supprised if you guys got up off the couch, stood beside the people making fun of wrestling and us wrestling fans and joined them in there doing so. All i'm saying is check yourself, becuase you might not realize what your becoming.

I watch WWE because I like it. Sometimes I get a bit tired of all of the crap that goes on. However, it is ok. I mean, TNA is miles ahead of them in actual wrestling talent and wrestlers with wrestling abilities.

I mean in TNA even the heels can wrestle, unlike most of the WWE heels.

I think the reason I still watch it is out of habbit. I've been a fan for 18 years and I very rarely miss any. I hate it when I miss a WWE show but when I watch it I cant say I'm particularly intrested in what I'm seeing.

I keep watching hoping to see the return of Chris Jericho versus Mr. Kennedy at one of the big PPV's....I duno about everyone else on this board, but I think that would be a great match!

and I also keep watching in hopes that ECW will get really good...same with SmackDown, but that's already happening, thankfully.

i flip between raw and football or whatever else is interesting. and usually i see who is coming out and then change it because i know im in for 15 minutes of blah blah blah. then replays of what happened last week, what happened on SD!, upcoming ppv, magazine...o and dont forget they have to do something stupid with the women. so theres nothing for me to really watch, out of 2 hours i prolly watch a total of 15-20 mins.

and SD!....jeez i call it napdown, i CANNOT watch more than a half hour without falling asleep. it happens every single time. so i dont even bother with SD!...besides battlestar galactica comes on at 9 so i couldnt watch a whole SD! even if i wanted to.

i know whats going on because of this site, the boards and the wrestling magazines i get every month (no i dont get wwe magazine, used to get the raw and SD! ones but now the mag is just crap and VULGAR.)

That and you want to find fault in the shows so you can come on this board and make the peoples lifes who actually liked the show miserable with your smark comments, right? I don't think people talk about how bad the show is just for fun. I watch all the shows and I enjoy most of them but there are parts that are just down right awful. Plus this is a message board where people come to state their opinions whether good or bad.

Yes, but he was saying that he's sick of the people that just out and out complain and never find any enjoyment in the program they are obssessed with. I also don't think he said people couldn't do it. He meant that he was sick of them doing it. What else do people complain about the WWE for anyway?
