Who's behind the band?

purveyor of confusion
after watching Impact! last night, I think they are setting the stage for a HUGE screwjob. it seems to me that Eric Bischoff is going to screw Hogan over and "take over" TNA. it was pretty obvious that Foley didnt bust easy-e up last week, and I'm thinking that the real perp is going to be revealed soon.

I'm wondering if the band is actually working for Bischoff and Hogan is totally oblivious.

what say you?

I have to agree that I was left feeling the same way. Whether this was planned all along, or whether this was an adjustment based on the fans reactions recently, who knows. I feel like last night Bischoff was trying to come across as a petty douche, when in past weeks he was trying not to but failing at it. Either way, it solves some problems with things like why Hall and Waltman are even around, and gives some credibility to running Foley and Jarrett as heels (with Bischoff there to provoke them, setting them up to be assholes). This is the kind of stuff I said would work out in time.

I have no complaints, it's kinda like an episode of LOST, losts of plot twists, M. Night Shamalamadindong should be watching this, he may learn something! right now i think its getting kinda obvious what Bischoff is doing, he sucks up to Hogan when hes there, and commits blatant acts of Douchebaggery when Hogan isnt. I'm loving it! Eric Bischoff is just not cut out to be a face. its not in his genetic makeup!

I just have to say that lastnights episode was realy good. And I feel like things are starting to flow now. But I do think Hall and Waltman will be revealed to be working for Eazy E behind Hulks back.

So will Foley; how does the saying go? "me thinks he doth protest to much"........in other words hes trying so hard convince us all he hates "uncle" Eric that if feels like a swerve to me.

To be totally honest from the beginning of Impact last night, I was thinking that Eric was gonna turn on Hogan. I'm thinking maybe now it will come down to Hogan/Jarrett/Foley vs. as much as it pains me to say it. Eric/The Band/Mr. Anderson. I see that Mr. Anderson is back to his heel self, so since he's relatively young why not have him take over the "Hollywood" spot, I mean after all he has done a movie and would fit in good with The Band. I am also thinking that they are keeping Hall off ring action until he loses some weight. I mean he is still knowledgeable about what to do inside a ring and all an can still "hit his spots" after the attack on Angle. I hope it goes down like that, or maybe make Angle turn heel and lead the Band.

I'm liking this line of thinking. I agree that it seems to be leading toward Eric swerving Hogan, but aside from the Band being in Eric's pocket, I wouldn't be placing bets on who will be with Eric and who will be with the Hulkster. Too many guys that can go too many ways in this scenario. Should be compelling TV though.

Oh its a swerve alright except it's Easy E and Jarrett working in cahoots against Hogan.and they are paired with AJ and Flair as well IK everyone thinks Flair hates Eric but they patched things up in WWE and that backstage segment showed me they are gonna do some business together..with Aj being the Future of the company Hogan will then announce after he loses his share of the company back to Jarrett and foley and eric he signed one more guy to face Aj and then the music hits and it is Jeff Hardy who makes his epic re re debut Aj goes nuts in the ring flair rips his jacket off drops an elbow on it..then some guy in a suit jumps the rail and takes out hogan and hardy he has short hair and a goatee he then pulls out a mask and lays it down on hogan and he reveals himself to be Chris Parks abyss...the new look the new monster the corp. monster He then grabs the mic and calls out foley mick mick you screwed me mick and now i'm gonna make you pay..it leaves with aj and flair next week its the same with daniels joining the group..then its gonna be eric young..turning on nash leading it to be Aj's stable of talent managed by Flair..aj, chris parks ,Daniels and Eric Young. vs The New Tna led by hogan..foley nash Mr. Anderson and jeff hardy ik prolly won't happen but i can dream..can't I ?

heres another idea, since the bischoff going behind hogans back angle seems so obvious, maybe they will play it like this:

for a few weeks, Erci keeps up his sneaky douchebag act, then at a PPV, he does something totally blatant and screws over one of the originals. then Hogan comes storming to the ring to confront Eric, (or so we think) then in the end, he congratulates bischoff for carrying out his evil plans

SEE? I like that idea too! this way the smarks and haters are proven wrong by their assumptions that Hogan/Bischoff are going to ruin TNA by only putting over their cronies, now you have a mixture on each side of the war, now thats a swerve!!

Eat That, M Night Shamalamadingdong!! a REAL plot twist!!

i believe that it going to brake hogan and easy E up .. then when easy e joins flair and aj hogan will go out and get jeff hary and jeff jarret then the band will come out with flair and aj and go against hogan and say how easy E is way there still here and why the nwo was so great then the lights go out and sting comes out on hogan teams because hell never be a heel so of course hell be against flair ... just go a feeling this is all happening to led up to a 10 man tag with the band. mr anderson and aj managed by flair agianst Jeff jarret sting jeff hardy and foley and kurt angle (be for bound for glory) then ull get the big matches flair-sting hogan-angle jarret and foley.vs the bands outsider and hardy vs aj styles for the world titel i think this would be some pretty go matches

just a though on what might happen

Either way (and alot of your guys's ideas are great and would make for great tv) we are going to left guessing until the very end. Remember how good Eric (and Russo at times) are at making people wait and guess and guess and guess and they STILL get it wrong. These two have something up their sleeves and I for one can not wait to see what it is.

I suppose it's possible Hogan could screw Bischoff, and that the band could be working for him. It's possible. Seeing as Hogan is most likely going to stay a face, I wouldn't be surprised is Bischoff became a tweener, and then out of no where, he would reveal his "sinister plan". Although, I must say all of this sounds strangely familiar to what happened back in WCW years ago. In fact, if Hogan turns heel, then it would almost exactly like what happened in WCW.

I'm also wondering when Foley and Jarrett are going to join forces. Seriously, don't they need each other right now?I mean Foley was the one who brought Jarrett back to fight the good fight? If you ask me, I don't know what what the hell TNA is doing with these two....it just doesn't make sense to me.

That's the whole point. It is not suppose to make sense just yet. It's suppose to keep you intrigued and wondering until it all comes together.

I understand what you're saying, but the thing that doesn't make sense to me is this, Foley and Jarrett were suppose to come back together, and kick the door down with their guns blazing and all, as a team. Then Foley went off and did his thing, and Jarrett went off and did his thing? I just thought they were suppose to be fighting Bischoff and Hogan as a team.

Yeah I can see that. Hopefully it will all get explained. Maybe Foley brought in Jeff and they had an "agreement" to help each otehr get in the door then they fix their own things. Just spit balling here.

i believe the plan will come alive when tna goes livein march... i feel they are buildin' up a long term plot that will change monday nights... it doesnt matter what they do, as long as it works... hogan should stop walkin to the ring, guy cant even climb up the ramp in the entrance way...

i loved the fact bubba had was holdin' no mics... no need to be professional bout it nomore... its reality... it would be cool to have bubba walkin' around with a cameraman bumpin' into *****s like foley... rather than havin' a ***** in a suit and a mic actin' like a reporter... in my opinion it worked in the 80's, and cartoons like tmnt...lol but this is the 21st century... the announcers should wear bluetooth headsets for that matter...:wtf:

kind of stealin' the thunder from wwe, using the ref as the complice... makin wwe take notice... kind of like dx with a tank...

First of all can we find something else to call them, as the Band is the stupidest name for a faction ever.

Now while watching impact last night, I came to the same conclusion that everyone else has, and that is eventually Eric B is going to turn on Hogan and old NWO (sorry I just can't call them "The Band") is working for him. I also believe last night that Jarret is just setting Hogan up for something down the road. And once again it's another week so Foley has turned again from heel to face. Next week he should be a heel again. But yeah Foley and Jarrett should be working together to bring down the current Hogan-Bischoff regime.

Does it seem wierd we are even talking about a real long thought out story in TNA? I love it. Its long over due. I never even thought about the The band working with Bishoff. I was honestly just excited about seeing the band and TNA doing so good. I have hated AJ but pairing him with Flair makes him more interesting. I agree I think Bishoff is running with the band. When Hogan threw them out of the building it seems like they were looking at Eric saying what the F?

Yeah I gotta admit that I saw that look as well. Made me laugh like they were all, "Hey man we were told to be here, an now you're kicking us out?" *then BOOM* the look at Eric like MAN do something about this. Ya know what would be funny? Is if HOGAN and FLAIR team up and ERIC becomes the good guy. Now that's a swerve I wouldn't see coming.

Whatever it is, i'm sure it isnt going to be totally obvious, WWE is infamous for Obvious swerves and Heel/Face turns. I'm sure Hogan, Bischoff and the whole creative team have been working this out for a while now, probably even before the 1/4 episode. It better blow me away, thats all I can say

Since the beginning, there's been a lot of hinting towards Eazy E turning full blown megalomaniac and taking the power for himself. I like the idea. He's a far better figurehead for TNA than Hogan is, and if the head dog is a heel, it means AJ will be a face, and so will Angle.

I haven;t been a big fan of a lot of what's happened involving Hogan, but this would at least be fresh and innovative, and would create a lot of buzz.

Good to finally find a discussion forum where the members aren't so dumb, they can actually see where the storyline is going.

Eric when not around Hogan is the Eric that ran WCW and lead the NWO and the Eric who was the RAW GM, but when Hogan is around he is different he is more of a babyface.

- Eric wants to screw with Jeff Jarrett so he quits, while Hogan genuinely wants Jarrett to set the example and be part of TNA.
- Eric needed a reason to fire Foley, but Hogan doesn't seem to buy what happened, so Eric is going to screw with Foley until he quits or does something where Hogan fires him.
- Eric let Hall and Syxx in the building this week and next week I'm looking for to what happens next. I won't say what happens encase people don't want to be spoiled.

I am realy starting to get into this.

I am so loving wrestling right now. I really hope things keep going like they are right now. If this storyline plays out in one of countless ways it could, and TNA moves to Mondays, wow. I feel like a kid again. Can't wait to see this play out on tv.

I never saw that happening. But it sounds good.

From the reports saying they're not happy with Hall and Waltman make you think a little different about the Band even being around anymore to do anything, but hey one can only hope.

Waltman needs to start eating, seriously he is the size of a twig and Hall needs to stop lol.

Hogan though, plays this Im serious, im good, im the boss role way to over the top for me. He is never wrong so it does get a bit boring, so here's hoping this angle gives him a bit more depth.
