Haven't read everyone's posts, so I apologize if I'm repeating what's already been discussed. I'm sure someone already made mention of this, but Chris Cash posted an article about this on WZ's news feed. Here's one of the paragraphs from that article, which can be found here:

The lack of resolve in the "Who texted Kevin Nash?" story is because WWE still hasn't solidified the direction they're going to take yet. "They have five ways they can go with this thing," said a WWE writer, "and it's still unclear which one they're going to choose." As I reported yesterday, WWE never intended on Del Rio to be the one who "hired" Kevin Nash. The obvious options now are Triple H, Stephanie, Johnny Ace and Vince, but WWE has proven that they don't always go with the clear choice with things like this, so no one will ever know for sure until it's finally in the books.
As Cash said, there are five different choices the WWE has to choose from. Those choices being:
Vince McMahon
Stephanie McMahon
John Laurinaitis
Triple H
Alberto Del Rio
All of these are great choices. Alberto would be okay, if he was the one who texted Nash. Nash worked as a bodyguard before, for HBK (back in the mid 1990s). I think Nash would work perfectly as a bodyguard for Del Rio, and I personally believe that Nash would be able to help Del Rio get over as a true main eventer. Then again, it would be a bit of a stretch (kayfabe wise) to see Nash taking orders from someone he would probably think as a "nobody"...remember what Nash said when Miz won the WWE Title? I bet he has similar feelings about Del Rio.
IMHO it would be great if HHH was the one who texted Nash, because we would see Nash & HHH team up on-screen for the first time (I think?). I don't ever remember seeing those two being "buddies" on-screen; HHH never joined the "WWE nWo", if I remember correctly...and Nash was never in DX. If somehow Nash becomes HHH's right-hand-man (so to speak), then that might be fantastic. I think these two would have to go full-blown heel though, not this "middle-of-the-road" thing that HHH is currently doing. If they later got X-Pac involved or something, they could even come out (all dressed in suits) to the old DX theme song. Before you jump on me, and say "Nash was never in DX!" -- I know he wasn't. But when Nash & X-Pac came out for HBK's induction to the HoF they were playing the DX theme, if I remember correctly... I even seem to remember seeing Nash do the "X" above his head (by crossing his arms). That would be cool, and it would definitely please the old-school fans (me being one of them) to see Nash & HHH together. Throw X-Pac in, and it's even cooler...as long as they don't wrestle very often, let them be HHH's Brisco & Patterson (Vince's old "cronies", during the Attitude Era).
I think that the WWE is looking at a possible HHH vs. Punk feud, and there have been rumors of a HHH/Punk Wrestlemania match in 2012. HHH turning heel, with Nash as his "right-hand-man" would set this feud up beautifully, with Punk getting his hands on Nash (in the ring) in the future. Maybe not the next PPV, but maybe WWE's October PPV (to counter TNA's BFG, their biggest PPV of the year). Punk would finally get to fight Hunter at Wrestlemania. This scenario seems likely, because of all the options the WWE would have. Somehow, I don't think it will be HHH who sent the text though... at least maybe we won't find out that it was HHH at first (if it was really him). They might have someone else say it was them who sent the text (ie: Johnny Ace), but later we'll find out that it was HHH all along. Maybe John did HHH's "dirty work" for him, like Punk mentioned in his promo last week (having John fire those guys over the phone). I think eventually HHH will have to turn heel, it's just inevitable. Especially with Punk on the other end of that scenario, there's no way that HHH will be cheered over Punk.
The WWE could also decide that they want the text msg to have come from Steph or Johnny Ace. It seemed that Johnny wanted to talk to Nash about "something important" backstage at Raw, I wonder what
that's about. Hmmmm.... On the other hand, Steph is also a strong candidate. She could have gone behind HHH's back, and decided that neither Cena or Punk deserved to be WWE Champion (texting Nash, and setting up Alberto for the Title win). Who knows, Steph could even have her old man (Vince) whispering in her ear. Maybe she feels that Vince was "unjustly" fired or something, and decided to piss off her husband. Maybe she feels
she should have been named WWE's new COO, and is jealous of HHH's new found power. This actually seems likely, now that I've typed it out (and thought about it).
The last possibility is Vince McMahon. Upset by the way he was "relieved of his duties" by the WWE Board of Directors (or whatever it was), he decided to exact some revenge by hiring Nash to do his dirty work. It would definitely work, from a kayfabe POV. Nash gets a text from Vince, and naturally does what "the boss" asks of him. Vince may no longer be "the boss" (on screen), but he was Nash's boss when Nash worked for the WWE (and the WWF, before jumping to WCW). Nash might still be loyal to Vince's wishes. Another scenario is that Vince & Steph cooked this up together.
I think I like the idea of it being HHH the most, just because I'd love to see a Kliq reunion in the ring. I'd love to see Nash standing behind HHH, being silent as HHH delivers a promo. Of course, it would be great to see X-Pac get involved too. Maybe even HBK, who knows? Like I said earlier, it would be fantastic to see all of them come to the ring together (wearing nice suits), to the old DX theme song. I'd love it, and I think a lot of old school fans would too. Like I said earlier, they would HAVE to be heels for this to really work (HHH playing the role of "Mr. McMahon" in this scenario, and Nash playing his right-hand-man).
The most likely scenario to me now, is that it was Stephanie, or a combined effort between Steph & Vince. I think Vince might have convinced her that he was "unjustly fired", and that if anyone deserves to be COO it's another McMahon. Not someone who married into the family. It would make sense to see a power-struggle between HHH & Steph, maybe Steph even brings Vince back. Maybe we eventually see one of them run Raw, the other Smackdown. I don't know. Johnny Ace could also be in this role, convincing Steph that "a McMahon should be running the WWE, not your husband". Either way would work, and work EXTREMELY well.
My pick for who sent the text message to Nash is Stephanie McMahon, but I also think it could be a combination of either Steph & Vince, or Steph & John. Either way, I think Stephanie will be involved when this is all revealed to us (although my hope is that it was HHH).
