Who is the most underrated wwe superstar...

SavageTaker

Everybody Has A Price!
that was in WWE/WCW(when it was owned by Ted Turner)/or ECW(old or new version) wether it be former or present to still make it big in another promotion or organization or company?

I think that a case could be made for christian cage.he never really held any major titles in the wwe,the best he held was probably the intercontinental and tag belts.

He went to become a main eventer in tna and won the nwa heavyweight champion twice therefore making him a 2 time heavy weight champion.obviously he had some very good succes in tna.

Who do you guys think fit this thread and why?

Shelton Benjamin. All he ever holds is mid-card belts and they never give him any good programs. If they would've gave him MVP's character it would've been great, he's got the in ring ability for sure. He just needs work on the mic and with his character. I know management has tried multiple character, and it's up to the wrestler ultimately to get over, but I don't feel they have put enough effort into him.

the title of the thread is the most underrated superstar that still made it big in another promotion/organization/or another company, while shelton is underrated he has never really made it big anywhere else,so i dont think shelton applies here.

Oh sorry, Well, Mick Foley then, they totally misused him in WCW and ECW. In the WWE he was a 3 time WWE Champion, and main evented the majority of PPV's in 99-2000.

I would go with Matt Morgan. He debuted in WWE in late 2003 as a short-term member of Team Lesnar. Then, they repackaged him with the stupid st st stuttering gimmick in 2005. Although he has not yet gained any titles in TNA, he has gained much more attention and has greatly improved his skills in the ring.

Another one that just came to mind is gail kim.In WWE she was a basic nobody really that had an alliance with Molly Holly.

but when she went to TNA they made her the center of their knockout division.its evident that gail was that division, right now they have nothing going in the knockout division to to gail leaving.she had very big succes in tna and hopefully it will transfer on to wwe,i was always a fan of gail.i hope that when she redebuts its on smackdown so that she can add legitemacy to the divas champion and be the biggest face diva currently with the company

I think Christian's second run will give him the credit he deserves more than anything, mustnt forget that on his debut, he won the Light Heavyweight Championship. I think he left at the right time and is back at the right time, he's definitely the Captain Charisma he set out to be.

If I had to go with under-rated, I would say the Big Show. He has acheived quite alot in his time and will be on the crowd's support when he's on the run, I just feel he's been used alot in the wrong way, he won the title within a year of his debut, he defeated Brock Lesnar. I really feel he's a guy who has the ability to push far, even now, but the programmes he's been put in keeps him down and under-rated. He does pretty well for a guy his size!

Edit: Sorry, mis-read it. I would say that DDP would be one, he had a poor spell in WCW, then WWE and then became a top guy in WCW, definitely list him in that pile there.

Would Ron Killings count as well? I can't remember if he won anything big in TNA? But he was better known second time around

i think ron killings would count because he first started in wwe as something else k-kwik something like than then he went to tna and became succesful by holding the nwa heavyweight champion.

Jimmy Wang Yang and Jamie Noble equally. They both have amazing in-ring ability and can put on a good match. They're overly under rated.

I have the biggest one ever...

The Undertaker.

In WCW, they misused him, then in WWE he became THE biggest legend still currently wrestling.

Well in WCW they called Shannon Moore HB2K cause he had the potential to be the next Shawn Michaels, but they never even gave him a chance in WWE, he could have been big, he still has A chance though.

I agree with that, they put on some really good matches with Shannon Moore and Shane Helms in WCW, but never got the opportunity in WWE.

there are soooo many guys that started at wcw or wwe n jumped ship to become world champs after previously being mid carders. i dnt nessisserily think that early runs would make them underrated cuz not every wrestler to jump from 1 company to another is an overly talented guy for example jeff jarrett. that being said to answer ur question i would say chris jericho. wcw did themselves no favours letting that guy go

The most under-rated superstar in the WWE... Charlie Hass. When he was with Benjamin he was absolutely brilliant and should of been a top star. But the WWE have really missed a trick with Hass. Having him do p***-takes of certain WWE superstars was funny at first but now it got tiresome very quickly and I'm glad he ain't done one for a while.

The truth most of guys are right wheather you said shelton, shannon moore ect. But one i did not hear was perry saturn he was one of the best in ring performers. He was only guy able to carry Bill goldberg. Not even brock lesner was able to do that. I am going to say Saturn. He was missed used in wcw and wwe. And if think im wrong just rember the match agianst raven i think fall brawl 98 or 99

Yeah because we all know having one of the top 5 longest IC title reigns is really underrated :rolls: Hes making his way to become the longest (if hes not allready) reigning Us champion. Not to mention, his mic sucks. His character, is horried. His in ring skills CAN be entertaining. Hes a boring wrestler, heck Kung Fu Naki is better than Shelton is.

_________

As for my most underrated star. (during his time, no, now yes) Randy Savage. This man had one of the best, if not the best fueds with Hogan ever. I loved him to death. His wrestling was as far east is from west when it came to sucking. Now, hes no where to be found. Because of bad relations to Vince.

Going by the subject of the thread, taking a guy that was nothing more than a mid-carder, or a misused main eventer in a promotion, then went elsewhere to make it big. Well there's a few guys.

Steve Austin from WCW to WWE would probably be one of the biggest. K-Kwick to Ron Killings in TNA is another one. Jeff Jarrett to WCW is there as well. You could also say Kevin Nash when he was Vinny Vegas in WCW to Diesel in WWF, which started his rise.

According to Randy Orton who went off the record in saying that he feels that due to the WWE's "wrestling style" many gifted stars don't have the common ground to show off what they can do. For those of you who aren't aware the WWE has banned many, many moves for the safety of its own stars.

From what I have read, and heard. I would have to say it is a dead tie. As of right now I think both Dykstra/Nemeth are the most underrated stars in the WWE. Kenny isn't even with the WWE, but when he was he wasn't used well. Brett Hart said it himself that Kenny Dykstra was the future of professional wrestling. I don't think Hart smokes any sort of drugs, and I don't think he just made that statement for the fuck of it either. Interestlingly enough after that comment Kenny started to wear pink and black. Dykstra is one of the most athletic men I have ever seen in the ring. You have to watch his non-WWE matches to see what I mean.

Dolph Ziggler has matured rather fast, and his character in FCW was actually why he was called up to the main roster. Ironically they changed the gimmick he had worked so well in FCW. He was billed as The Natural Nick Nemeth. Nice catchy name, but once in the WWE it all went away. If you get around the look, and name Ziggler is an impressive wrestler. His match with Batista actually shocked. Oddly enough it was an entertaining match, and the story told in the ring was solid. Ziggler showed excellent fight, and almost seemed the underdog. Batista actually sold very well as well, and wasn't very stiff. Just that match alone told me that he was going to be a star.
