Who Cried During Ric Flair's Fairwell Speech?

i started crying as soon as the horseman came out. my mum came in and asked me why i was crying, and i said 'because the greatest wresler of all time has just retired'.

Anybody who thinks Carlito is better than Ric Flair is a fucking idiot. This coming from one of those rare people who think Ric Flair isn't the greatest of all-time. Carlito's just shit.

I've never claimed that The Undertaker and Kurt Angle are the greatest of all-time. They're my two favourites though.

The main event of No Way Out 2006 was Kurt Angle vs Undertaker, has anybody seen this PPV? Wondering if the match is a technical clinic or a major disapointment.

Nah, I didn't cry, but it was worth staying up to see. Loved the way heels who have constantly disrespected him in character where cheering for him as loud as they could. Think I even saw Ron Killings amongst the crowd of wrestlers.

I didn't. Only because it would be considered 'wrong', especially in Australia where wrestling isn't that popular in general and crying just cause someone retired would be considered untough and stuff.

#1 Why would I cry? I don't know the guy. If you cry over stuff like that, then I'd hate to see how you react when a parent dies.

#2 He'll be back on TV in a few months.

#3 He'll be wrestling again within the year.

#4 He's been shit for a decade and a half.

Okay Jake, you've now reached a level of stupidity that even I didn't know you could reach. I've dealt with the death of my younger brother and even thou flair's retirement is nowhere near the same as the lose of a loved one, even I shed a few tears monday nite. What we saw on monday nite was fans and wrestlers paying respect to a to a wrestling legend and in return flair showing his love and appreciation back. It was something that we may never see again.

If you haven't seen lance storm's view on what happened you really should read it.

Flair will be back wrestling in about a year, so I saw no big thing in his "retiring." I saw it as finally, some new blood in the WWE in his spot. Flair was great, had the match of the night at Mania even though Edge and Taker was better, but the with the storyline of Flair the match was way more better in the sense of wrestling story. Flair is gone and I'm glad. If I did shed a tear, it was because they wasted 20 minutes of my life when thay could of had a wrestling match. Retire like most people in america, just stop working.

You got real problems mate.

#1 Get a heart mate

#2 Yeah he'll be back on TV, it was just the fact that he was retiring from the RING

#3 No he won't, he's said he won't. Believe him, he won't wrestle again.

#4 I really want to see you become a wrestler, and get a tribute like that. He is a legend. OK, maybe age caught up with him, but he was still worth watching. Once you become a wrestling legend, then you can say that.

He deserved the tribute. End of.

I did shed a tear and I was grateful to see it as I never realized Flair's impact until then. It spoke truth to me. I was saying to myself, "That's it, that's truth." It was one of the most powerful and beautiful things I've seen in my life.

In what way?

#1 Get a heart mate

Why because I didn't blub when he retired? When the guy dies I might feel a pang. But the guy has just stopped wrestling. I happens all the time.

Yeah right.

#3 No he won't, he's said he won't. Believe him, he won't wrestle again.

Ric Flair has said he's retiring hundreds of times.

So because I've never wrestled I can't critisize him? Bullshit. Pro Wrestling is a spectators sport. It's not something you do on a playground. It's not something you can play at unless you actively go for training. So I along with everybody else who's never had training can say what is shit and what's not. It's not like playing football, or another sport you did at school, where you know what you can and can't do. I could be the greatest wrestler of all time if I had training. But I don't want to be a wrestler.

Have you ever said a film was shit? How many have you made?

If i cried then it was probably tears of joy, because i finally never have to see the boring old man wrestle again.

Rep. When my 60 year old dad who has watched Flair's entire career thinks people crying is ridiculous, then that's probably the truth. This isn't 1993, or 1998, or hell 2003, Flair is terrible and has sucked for a long time, it was time for him to go. He was great, but added nothing relevant tot he business in nearly 15 years. The only good emotional match he had was the alst match on Nitro vs. Sting.

more emotional then HBK vs. Flair, the match was shit, but wrestling died. Oh wait, we have Shark Boy, remove that last post.

Shark Boy would whoop the Shell out of Flair, it would be like fighting a Jelly Fish.

Dude, i wanted to cry like a baby when he lost at WM24 and i didnt. but when i watched the farewell address i couldnt believe that he was done. what stopped me from crying is the fact that what will the WWE be when guys like hbk and taker and triple h finally retire and the only guys left are the new ones and i mean, what would they think? its like a mother letting her child go on their own. Who will carry the company? i dont know if it did this to any of you but it kinda scares me to know that its time for these guys to hang up the boots and gloves and to finally let these new guys go forward. and its obvious cena will carry the company like hogan did and his counterpart macho man will be randy orton. i dont know, it just bothers me a bit to know that its going to happen.

And don't forget playing the part of the ultimate warrior is batista, and the soon to be next age ric flair will be Ken Kennedy.

No not ring wise, I was talking more of whos being billed to be the next big things, and you could compare them to. But kennedy is still pretty bleh for now to me. And batista well the important thing is hes trying. I think.
