What's the point of being "kayfabe" on Wrestlezone Forums?

I'm myself.

You're yourself, but trying too hard.

Topic in hand, I think most people's personalities (well the people who have them nowadays) on here are mainly exaggerated versions of their own personalities. I don't think there's anyone on here who could say they act exactly the same as they do in real life, and if there is, by God there must me some absolute ***** out there.

But why "play a heel"? Your real self isn't good enough to respond to someone's thoughts about a subject of conversation? Are you some kind of coward?

And I'm not trying to be a dick... I'm being honest. You, as a person, aren't good enough to put someone in their place on something? You have to hide behind a shadow of your real self in order to get a point across? In my eyes, that makes a person weak and cowardly.

..But I'm not hiding behind a "heel persona." I'm doing what I would normally do, but explaining the recent influx of shitting on people as a "heel turn." It's not like I'm finding new reasons to shit on people to fit the persona, it just seemed like I took on a more confrontational posting style because people got on my nerves more often. It's a silly attempt to apply wrestling terms to our forum interactions.

If Cena were to start shitting on Kofi/MVP/Swagger/everyone, then he would be going through a heel turn, no? But it's not like that hasn't always been what he would do. He just did it more often under the "heel turn." I'm not using a "heel gimmick" to explain away why I shit on JKO and the JOB Squad so much, I was using it as a silly way to describe what was going on.

If I shit on everyone indiscriminately, then you would have a point.

I am myself when I post here. If I have ever said something along the lines of "Dagger Dias is a face" that's real too because it's the name of the hero in my game, and heroes are almost always faces.... plus the way I act in real life is similar to that of a face because I try to be nice to everyone and be friends with all. Just like on here, I joined to make friends with you guys and discuss wrestling. The only difference between my real self and when I post on here is that I don't cuss on here, sometimes I do in real life, other than that, this is 100% me.

Yes, I do think that there is a very valid point to being kayfabe, if you're not kayfabe, and you act yourself, then you are a WWE Shareholder, because this is what Vince wants you to post like. He wants you to act like yourself because it is part of his plan to take over the world, if you act kayfabe, he can't do that. Don't be fooled into doing what Vince WANTS you to do, the man is the face of pure evil, and quite frankly I hate him, I also hate you.

Rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble, rabble.

So in conclusion, don't act yourself, because Vince wants you to, and in the end all you are doing is playing into his hands.

I'm a kayfabe version of a character I made who was myself :S

It brings a tear to the old glass eye to see our number one Jericho-hater actually become Jericho.

Cake for everyone to mark the occasion?

I know who's real on these forums, and I don't mind calling them out. IC25, Norcal, and CH David are definitely three of them. There may be more, but they aren't on the top of my mind right now.

It's a shame that the list isn't longer. Really, it is. Reality check, people.

I think I'm pretty damn real on these forums, that's why I bounce around from being easy going, happy go lucky, to fuck it all, to I hate you, because my posting mood on here reflects my actual mood. Like today I'm kind of meh, I'm tired and wore out from working overnights, so no hyper-hypo Fox today.

I do agree with the kayfabe thing though, what pisses me off, is when someone is playing a 'heel' and you don't know it and they do all this shit to get people riled up and pissed off, then they just say 'oh it was a act', then expect everything to be fine. Hell no act or not, once I'm pissed at you, I'm pissed for a while. It's not cool. /rant /soapbox.

I'm the same on here as I'm in the "real world". I guess being kayfabe would be fun for a while but it would get boring fast.

I am myself on these forums. Everything I've ever said has been from my own mind. Everything I said has not been made up or said to stir shit up or to get threads hits. When I post my issues here in the Bar, those are my real issues, problems that really do upset me. I have never been fake on these forums. Oo-rah to D-Man for calling the people on it that do it.

There is no reason to be fake on a forum. Sure a lot of you don't come on here to make friends, but I mean, let's say you do befriend someone, do you want to befriend someone who is being fake with you? I certainly don't.

And he is right when he says all wrestling fans need to stick together. We are indeed a dying breed, and we need to be revived.

I like to think of myself as a pretty nice guy in "real life," and hopefully most see that I try to be the same way here.

The only main difference is that I'm much better well-spoken typing than I am speaking, if that makes any sense. I also wouldn't have as much to say in "real life" on a topic as I would here, sitting down thinking about it and typing my thoughts. But, those are little things I guess.

Personally, I love being "me on steroids" on the Internet. It's the kind of person I would love to be in real life, but can't be. I wouldn't necessarily say that it's a kayfabe thing, but I am free to speak my mind without regard to anyone's feelings when I post here, and not hold anything back ... which is quite therapeutic.

Yes Sidious, that is what your need, plenty of therapy!!:lmao:
