What's the point of being "kayfabe" on Wrestlezone Forums?

I knew you'd show up and say somethig stupid, eventually.

What was stupid about what he said? He said you are taking the forum too seriously. In some aspects, I would have to agree. Especially with this thread.

Now granted Staff especially can say perhaps the same about me, in looking at running the site more close to a business, however my intentions are noble because I would like to see the site's active memberbase grow. I want to see the site reach its potential and become even bigger.

But that is all behind the scenes. That doesn't mean I have a problem with personalities on the forums that give people something to talk about and engage in discussion.

I just think people shouldn't be afraid to speak their mind on here, as long as they can do so within forum rules, and most cases they can.

It's the wrestling business, for Pete's sake. It's not like this is a low key forum designed for people to come to ... to just "be friends with one another".

We are here to talk wrestling. And as we know from going to live events, this business has some real interesting people for fans. If they can't be themselves in public, let them be themselves on here.

As odd as this sounds, I think Sid hit it with the steroids thing.

I'm nowhere near this articulate in the real world. I have the same views and levels of sarcasm and the same temper though.

:disappointed:

I'll tell ya Sid, you annoy me more and more each day. My comment towards JKO was merely a joke stemming from tons and tons of Bar Room jokes. But if you're so quick to jump at his side in order to make an attempt at getting under my skin again, then feel free.

But sitting there and telling me that I take forums too seriously? I'm real on these forums and I act accordingly. We do not act out scripts on these forums. We speak our minds. In a sense, according to your jackass standards, anyone that talks wrestling on this forum is taking this forum too seriously. After all, they give their serious views about the product. So what's the difference between that and giving serious views about our personalities? It's a double-standard that you throw in everyone's faces when they don't see things in the perspective of your point of view. And it's quite annoying.

I didn't make the comments to intentionally try to get under your skin, D-Man. I made the comment because I do believe there are some things you do take too seriously on the site, and this is one of them. That's my opinion. You can certainly feel free to disagree with it.

You can do whatever you want to do or be whoever you want to be on the forums. As long as you contribute and follow the rules.

Do you see a rule stating otherwise? I don't.

Because there is such a rule as being on topic and not spamming in the threads. There is NO RULE about having to act and use the same personality on here on the forum that you may have in real life.

That's the difference. Rules are the end-all be-all, and as long as they are being followed on the forum, then there isn't an issue. You want to make an issue out of nothing, and in that regard, yes I feel you are taking a certain element and taking it too seriously.

Where did I ever say that people have to do anything on these forums? I'm stating opinions, just the way everyone does in these forums from day to day. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Fuck your rules... I'll stick with my opinions.

People actually observe kayfabe on here? I say this, because I don't know any of you all outside of these forums. As far as I'm concerned, you are all exactly the same in your real life.

I take that back. I might know Shock and just don't realize it. Same area, and all.

I demand we go to a show someday, Dewey. You really missed out on Jan. 4th, but I get why.

Doc, I can't stop laughing at your sig quote. I remember saying that, but when you take it out of the context it looks so f'in funny.

FOR DOC,

Step 1. Go to the WWE section and post something in the Raw Section.

Step 2. Reach 1000 posts

Step 3. Never Post in the Non spam Sections again.

:lmao:

Too late, it was in the Movies and TV section. And I *think* my WZCW RPs are counted. Oh well.

I tried to be a nice guy. I TRIED to play by the rules! You turned your backs on me! I snapped. Well...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! AND IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!!

Owen Hart and Rock's theme were very similar. But I think I liked Owen's actually better. I was there in Baltimore for Raw when they both got these new themes.
