What now for Gabriel and Slater?

I see a few different potential scenarios arising for them in the near future.

First they could simply be forgotten about by the "New Nexus", who will have bigger and better problems to deal with in Punk facing John Cena. If this turns out to be the case they will probably just float around in the tag division as faces, they both seem like natural faces to me.

I could also see them joining forces with the likes of Darren Young, Tarver, Skip and possibly Wade Barrett to form another Nexus. We would then see the two stables feud with each other possibly leading to a Wrestlemania match.

Finally, the most likely scenario in my books. Next week Nexus come out and assault Heath and Gabriel, they then realise that it is far more beneficial to them to be on the side on Nexus rather than enemies of them so they ask t re-join the group. Punk accepts under the condition that they complete one very difficult initiation. Why do I feel that this is most likely? I don't think a four man Nexus would work, it would be far less dominating and far easier to get rid of than a six man Nexus.

I'd really like to see some of the "exiled" guys stay on Raw, just to see how things go. Do they seek vengeance? Do they avoid Nexus? What if they end up on an inevitable collision course (Husky & Mike are clearly the tag team of Neo-Nexus)?

But if they split up, I don't see Heath Slater staying around. I've never seen much special in "the ginger ninja". Justin Gabriel is pretty good in the ring and has a great finisher. He needs a personality though, but admittedly hasn't been given much time to shine in the 7-man gang Nexus (and who other than the leaders Barrett, Otunga, Punk really HAS?).

If anyone is up for a face turn out of Nexus, I see it being these two (or just Gabriel).

Personally, i think punk is ruining Nexus... Wade will always be the leader. Personally I think Slater and Gabriel will either become a face tag team or move over to Smackdown and join up with Wade because he never had them do any stupid initiations like that.

I was wondering that myself. I found it telling they were not with Nexus in their final appearance. I don't know what happens next but I could them moving to SMACKDOWN and teaming with Barrett I guess. Truthfully I am tiring on the NEXUS s/l but that is for another post

Heath Slater: Probably gonna be sent down to FCW if not used in tag team with Gabriel.

Justin Gabriel:I actually have 2 scenarios for him if he isn't in a tag team. 1 heel and 1 face.

Heel: He feuds with Drew McIntyre over Kelly Kelly. DMac turns face and Gabriel feuds with him on Smackdown.

Face: This would be a major push. He takes back his "Angel" gimmick from FCW. He is known as Justin "The Angel" Gabriel. He goes on Smackdown in the middle of a Kofi Kingston-Kane match when Kofi is getting beaten up hard. Kane is distracted by Gabriel and gets hit by a Trouble in Paradise. After the match, Gabriel hits the "Fall from Heaven"(450) on Kane. This starts a feud between "The Angel" and "The Devil's Favorite Demon".

Will they join the Dashex with Wade Barrett or will they help John Cena beat up CM Sucks?

Or here's a thought, will they maybe do the most obvious thing that you failed to mention and remain a part of nexus and be initiated next week perhaps? Do you honestly think Nexus is going to consist of 4 members down from 8? Even if they defect from the group, more members will join because 4 guys is not enough to do their typical beat downs, it becomes borderline. If 4 guys came up against Big Show for example, they would get beaten back.

I'm begging you please, can you go wihtout mentionning this imaginary, impossible stable you have dubbed "DASHEX". I mean come on, it's not even the start of one word and the end of the other!! It ought to be a mixture of Dashing and Nexus = Dashus, where the hell you got dashex from I can't imagine.

I believe that slater and gabriel will remain members of the original nexus group for the reason I have already mentionned. Nexus need the numbers to still look strong, lose those guys and they lose a big chunk of credability.

big fan of gabriel i think they will push him for an ic or us shot, as for slater send him back down to fcw needs a change

Have Slater and Gabriel go after the tag titles again. Use that time to build them into meaningful characters. They win the belts, lose the belts. At the point they could split them up, send Slater to SD, have Gabriel go after the US Title, and, hopefully, feud with Evan Bourne. A classic cruiser weight type series of matches.

Or, the best case scenario. Slater goes to SD, Gabriel stays on Raw to wage war on the Nexus. McGuillicuty (or however you spell that awful name) and Harris win the Tag Titles. Gabriel comes out to challenge them, and his partner is.....Evan Bourne! And there you have. WWE's answer to the MCMG.

Plus, Gabriel could be given some kind of cool 'Avenging Angel' gimmick. Fits his last name anyway. But that probably won't work in the WWE

This is just me but what if next week Slater and Gabriel show after the Cena vs Punk match and they bring with them Micheal Tarver and Darren Young they come down to the ring and join Cena so its 5-4 then Skip Sheffield shows up and stands by the New Nexus so its 5-5 and they start beating down eachother with Cena,Young,Gabriel,Slater, and Tarver coming out on top then start some kind match the raw after that like a 10 man elimination match against Punk,Sheffield,Otunga,McGillycuddy, and Harris with the winners of the match advance to the Royal Rumble as a qualifying match or something.

I think they both would just end up being a tag team and competing on either show.

WWE needs a tag team division badly.

Migillicutty & Harris, The Uso's, Henry & whoever he's teaming with this week, Vlad & Tino, Slater & Gabriel. And I case you could say Miz & A-Ri, and Tyson & Jackson.

Obviously, Vlad & Tino need opponents to face off against. Slater & Gabriel were a pretty damn good tag team. I don't think Slater has much of a future outside of the tag team division, Gabriel does....but they are both young and right now this is where they need them.....in the tag division.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a fatal 4-way tag match at the Royal Rumble. With Vlad & Tino losing the belts.

I really wish they would call up the Rotundos or Brett Dibiase already and make the tag division credible again. It has been floundering for years.

If we have truly seen the last of them in Nexus they'll probably just stick together as a tag team. They already won the Tag Titles once as a tag team and they work well together. If they stay on Raw they might have a small initial feud with the rest of Nexus maybe a one-off match. After that they'll probably just focus on the tag division and maybe be shown on Superstars individually. I don't see WWE giving them a real push individually until possibly after the draft.

If they jump ship to SmackDown! they could form an alliance with Barrett but I don't think they will. They'd be sick of taking orders and will just be a tag team.

They both have decent futures. I'd say Gabriel's is brighter simply because he is more exciting in the ring and has a good look to him, plus his 450 always gets a reaction. Slater is decent but that's about it.

You seem very angry? I agree, Gabriel and Slater are gone and will probably go back to their old friend Wade Barrett. As for Nexus only been 4 strong, maybe Tarver and Skip are due back.

Ive got a feeling you are going to look a complete idiot.

What will happen to Gabriel and Slater next week?

What I think will happen to Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater is they will go to Smackdown and either help Wade Barrett out as he will need a lot off help if he is going to try and beat the Big Show who is a giant and also Slater and Gabriel owe . I have a better feeling that Slater and Gabriel will go to Smackdown and compete in the Smackdown tag team division against the tag team champions Satino and Kozlov

Humph, that's only because of this guy, the one that made this thread has posted some of the stupidest things to grace the WZ forums. You just happen to have stumbled in on the thread he made making the most sense, instead of the ones supposing that NXT might end up lasting until 2023 or the one stating that Barrett and Cody Rhodes are going to form a tag team called Dashex?? I assure you I'm not like this for every other poster. And if you don't believe me, there is a thread in the cage where mods and highly powered users hang putting bets on how long it takes before the kid gets banned altogether, It's not just me.

Ive got a feeling you are going to look a complete idiot.

Ok well I do feel a little silly, but I did have good reasoning for saying what I said. I still believe it would have helped Wade Barrett more to stay as a single's competitor as pairing him back with his old allys implys that WWE management don't have faith in him doing a good job on his own. But seen as we all know the fate of slater and gabriel, It puts me somewhat in my place.

Your second idea was what I was more banking on. But you red repped me for telling the truth, it would have been more likely for those guys to stay so expect some back because your opinion was also wrong.
