What is the fallout from The Rock vs John Cena

Pre-Show Stalwart
I want to look at this from another angle . first of all fantastic this is a match which we will all want to see. This is the rock officially passing on the torch to Cena as Hogan did to rock 10 years ago. I think we can also conclude this will be The rocks last match ever- so it will be a goodbye to the peoples champion and im sure he will be inducted at the HOF the year after.
So heres a question what is The Undertaker going to do next year, who is he going to wrestle, I cant see him doing 2 more wrestlemanias so are we going to get Cena vs Undertaker this year may be?
And as for Cena - well we know hes not going to win next years Royal rumble - he can't - can he ? So it also means for a good three months leading up to wrestlemania he cant be in the title hunt either. WWE cant let him get injured. So is there someone to step up to the plate? Is this the time now to unify the wwe and whc belt ?
This one match leads to more questions than answers!

What would be a good way for this the title hunt is for Cena to win the belt before or at the rumble. Then have The Rock enter and win the Rumble so it makes sense that he would go after Cena and the match can be a title match at WM. Then since it probably will be Rock's last match so Cena will win and keep the belt.
I could see that as a possibility. Another possibility is for them to both enter the Royal Rumble and have a controversy where they are both eliminated and feud cause of that. We all know that they are going to feud either before or after The Rumble and the basis is all the "talk" that has gone on, but they need something more substantial.

The title should not be a part of The Rock and Cena. They are bigger, this is bigger than the belt. This is a perfect time when Cena will not be in a title match so they can push someone else. I think Taker will retire at 20-0 so I don't think we will see Cena and Taker.

On the matter of this is Rock's last match. Well maybe, maybe not. Never say never these days. People rarely stay retired.

The Rock and Cena will not be fighting for the title, Randy Orton Will be in the title picture along with Edge and Miz and I say as my sleepers christian and Jack swagger... Now I could see The Rock fighting Miz at summerslam for the title and winning it and holding it until WM28 and dropping it to Cena and to me wold be the only way that they are in the title match main event... Undertaker will either have a rematch with HHH or will fight Randy Orton at WM28, and THATS THE BOTTOM LINE!!!!

Well, first of all, the rock is already in the hall of fame, in 2008. second of all, the title wont be needed in this match because it'll sell already. the title is needed to sell another match between two people who arent rock and cena. third, the undertaker will face triple h again next year, for the third time. if he even has a match next year. it'll be a perfect match to build because triple h came so close to winning this year. and h already said he wanted to go again. they are already building the next wrestlemania now. the rock/cena, hhh/taker vol. 3. it seems kind of messed up to me that they make it seem that between wrestlemanias dont matter anymore. we can pretty much expect for the rock to dissappear again, cena not have the title around wrestlemania, and for triple h to dissappear again until before mania.

also, this rock/cena match has been established a while ago. rumor had it that the rock would face cena and miz, one at summerslam, and one at mania. idk if the miz match is gonna happen but that was established a few weeks ago. i just feel like they could have a match sooner, and have a big rematch at wrestlemania or something. because we're already heated and set up for the match to happen now, they need to do this while its hot, because now, all the fans they got with the rock coming back, can just say, forget the wwe now, until wrestlemania.

Well, first of all, the rock is already in the hall of fame, in 2008.

The Rock is not in the hall of fame, he inducted his father and grandfather...

I don't see any advantage of making the match at wrestlemania for the WWE title,

Slight change of topic here, Does anyone here see the Rock having any matches before wrestlemania 28?

The Rock is not in the hall of fame as the previous poster said he was. The Rock inducted his Dad and another family member into the HOF in 2008.. but was not inducted himself. I believe he may be put in next year before his match due to it being in his hometown of Miami, FL. It would only make sense to do it there and make everything even more meaningful.

Okay here's the WWE right has so many young guys Morrison,Ziggler, Mcintrye if i spelled that right and anyways next year at Wrestlemania 28 have one these guys careers soar from have them take Undertaker to the wire just like this years mania with Triple H, quick and easy way to give any of these guys a push. I know this a little radical have Morrison beat Taker and have him be the one to end the streak he is "THE FUTURE" of the WWE, very athletic decent on the mic can have some work there but all in all i think the best newer wrestler and Cena's in that category

I hate this passing the torch stuff. At least pass it to a man who actually can wrestle like a HOFer. Honestly, everyone thinks Cena is going to win here , but honestly thats the easiest outcome there is. Wrestlemania is in the ROCKS hometown. Do you think they wont BOO the hell out of Cena the min he comes out and the min he wins, no matter how much rock shakes his hand and holds it up. If WWE wants to shock us, make the Rock win the match.

Who wants to see a main event when you already know whos going to win without a shadow of a doubt? I know i dont. I still hope he does a heel turn. Loses the match, goes crazy and beats the hell of the rock. Heel turn

As far as for the title, i was thinking about it and thought they " might " do it. We dont know what the rock is going to want to do a year from now. For all we know he might decide he wants to wrestle full time again, which in turn he would have one last title run. Do i see it being for the title, well unlikely .. Is it impossible? Never say never in the WWE

I really don't think it should be for the title. This would be WWE's perfect opportunity to push younger talent into the title matches. This year many were talking about having Miz vs. Morrison if Rocky and Cena faced off, and I think something along those lines should be done next year.

If this is the Rock passing the torch to Cena it's 5 years too late. The torch belongs to Miz now.

I actually think this is a terrible idea for a match. It means we're stuck with Cena as the man even though no one wants him as the man. If this match goes ahead we're all fucked. Miz should be leading the business now, and the reaction on Raw proved it. Yet we're gonna have Cena rammed down our throat all year just cause he's facing Rock. Shall be a boring year.

Well Cena does have the torch now, but this is more of an "Official" passing as Cena never really got it passed to him in a match, he just became the face of the WWE.

I agree, after Mania and Raw last night, Miz is definitely the man of the future. I would love to see Miz vs. Austin at WM28 and have Austin put Miz over. That would be a good way to pass two torches in one night. Rock passes to Cena properly like he should have 7 years ago, and Austin passes to Miz.

And as for the comments about Rock/Cena being for the title ... HELL NO!!!!!!
This match does not need the title nor does it deserve it. The title match next year has to be used for the younger guys to give them the spotlight. Rock/Cena will sell on its own without the title and they dont need it for this to be an interesting match.

Personally I would've liked to see this following scenario, The Rock and Cena team up back and forth and talk trash to each other for months, maybe do these random build ups where one accidentally attacks the other kinda like Warrior Hogan pre WM6, then have them seperated Raw and Smackdown and give the fans a little more Rock, finally give the peoples champ and Cena both belts maybe do what Randy Orton did to Rey mysterio and take his shot from him, but in this case have Cena or Rock take it early, win the belt thus setting it up as Champion Vs. Champion, Icon vs. Icon Hero of the attitude era vs. Hero of the pg era, The Peoples Champion The Rock vs. The peoples fruity pebble John Cena!

As for fallout,I think this damn near locks in HHH/Undertaker rematch for WM28.

As much as I hate to admit it...Miz is set to be the big heel of the WWE for the immediate future. At first I thought his title reign would wind up being a bigger fluke than Arquette's!!

But people hate him and that hatrid puts people in the seats.people keep tuning in to see him "finally get his" so to speak, either way that's money in the till!

It can end up being a helluva Wrestlemania next year. Cena vs Rock, Taker going 20-0 plus two matches for the world titles. Add that to the tiny small possibility of SCSA being there, it feels like the wrestlemanias from early 2000's where there were more than one main event, too many great things happening at the same time. Of course, it's now upto creative/management to hype the event and make it one of the greatest. WWE has lots of time and i hope they won't lose their momentum.
