What are you watching for?

Doctor Awesome

Pre-Show Stalwart
Perhaps it has eluded me but, I haven't seen a thread simply asking what your favorite thing to watch currently in Wrestling is?

Whether it be a feud, gimmick, team, or anything else you may watch for, Right Now, what are you most entertained by?

I don't watch any wrestling as it airs, but I DVR every wrestling program I get, including: Raw, Ecw, Smackdown, Impact and ROH. I enjoy all for one reason or another. ROH, simoply for the great wrestling. TNA is intriguing right now, and haven't floundered like I thought they might. Pope is Pimpin, Angle is great, and Flair & AJ works for me. Ecw is over, but I liked the product week in and week out. Raw for Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Miz is getting solid real fast. And Smackdown is home to what I think is the best gimmick in wrestling right now, CM Punk & the Straight Edge Society. For me personally, I think Punk does it so well, because he used this gimmick on the Indies and that's how he got over. They finally found something to do with Festus, and they did right by him. The girl Sarina, is playing her role well also. The three of them just have a good chemistry and are very creepy with their body language and general closeness with one another. This is the thing I lok forward to most, each week currently in wrestling. His Christlike inuendo, and general piousness is delivered perfectly, and they can run with this for a long time. He is at the top of his game, and though Jericho may be the man on Smackdown, The Punk/Disciples gimmick is it for me.

So, what's the best thing in wrestling for you currently?

I watch Raw, ECW/NXT, Impact, and Superstars, and Smackdown (do not get ROH up here). There are a lot of guys out there that I currently like. CM Punk, Morrison, Ted, Cody, Santino (humor only), and Kelly Kelly (don't need to explain that one). Also, I tune in to see veterans like Jericho, The Undertaker, HHH, Shawn Michaels (sometimes), Edge, Christian, Vinny Mac, Bret Hart (now that he's around), and Finlay. But if I had to pick one guy....

Randy Orton. This guy is the total package. Very natural on the mic, seems to have great acting skills. In the ring, he is a great heel-technician. He breaks down body parts, not neccessarily being technical, but just vicious. He is a ruthless guy, and a great heel (maybe a great tweener soon?). His character is the best I have seen since Steve Austin.

This guy reminds me of why I loved the Attitude era so much. He is edgy. He is mean, sadistic, and evil. And best of all, he isn't just labeled with those attributes..he really is THAT good. This guy is a really big reason why I watch Raw every Monday.

I am not a fan of the whole PG-era thing going on, but he is a diamond in the ruff. I watch guys like Cena, Mysterio, Kofi, etc. and they just don't do it for me. If I was still 8 years old, John Cena would probably be my favorite wrestler as well. But I have already gone through my youth and held guys like he, Hogan, and Warrior in high regard.

That time is over with. I like guys who can wrestle. Guys who can talk, and be convincing while doing so. I like good, edgy characters that keep me interested in what they are doing week in and week out. Good characters like Orton ALWAYS make a storyline that much better. In 4 or 5 years, these kids will grow up as well. And while some of them will still like the Never Give Up garbage John Cena throws out there, many of them will be looking for someone with more of an edge to them, and I think the man to benefit from that will be Randy Orton.

Im personally looking forward to WrestleMania, as most may be too. As a fan, the excitement always builds up before the event, and im quite eager to see who's star will shine brighter on that night.

But after properly reading the title of this thread, im watching for Daniel Bryan.

I watched NXT the other day and was impressed with his debut, I've also been watching a lot of his ROH matches.

This man will be going places. He has the move set, the mic skills and definitely the wrestling credentials to make it big in the WWE
