Yeah because there are so many beautiful women out there who prefer a man that wastes tons of money on video games & throws away his time on things like waiting in line all night for the latest game release instead of a man that actually tries to better himself & expand his mind.

To consider we were being sold a "look at batman's big sacrifice for gotham" and it turned out his big sacrifice was living the billionaire lifestyle with a super-hot girlfriend and quite easy found by his butler was an absolute pisstake. Entirely untrue to the character of batman.

After watching The Dark Knight Rises a few times, my opinion has changed a bit. I think it was decent, but not great. Actually, I wouldn't even call it good. It was too fast (and that's saying something for a 2 hour, 45 minute film). They crammed way too much together. Bane was enough of a villain. The rest were unnecessary. Most if it worked, but they attempted to fit way too much story into one film.
But The Dark Knight was still great. Far more than a comic book film. Stop bagging on it just to seem smarter than the rest, you sound foolish.

This is truth.
Fight Club sucks balls. It is a pandering, style over substance, lowest common denominator, "Look how cool I am" load of crap with one of the most stupid final acts in cinema history.
Basically, if Marvel directed Dredd.
Bagging on it will happen when praise for it goes too far the other way. You know this. Fighting fire with fire, jerk. It was a really good film, but I laughed all through Gary Oldman's monologue with the epic music playing in the background, it wasn't good enough to make me take that seriously, it just made me see it as overly dark, and a bit pretentious. Also, I'd just watched No Country for Old Men, so the Joker had no effect me on me. Then the inevitable Avengers comparison happened, which made me a bit sad, but if I have to pick a side I'll go with the film that I enjoyed all the way through, and didn't once feel was trying to beat me over the head or try really hard.
I have finally worked out the internet, you must pick a side and debate it to death. I shall embrace this.
