Unpopular Film/TV/Music/Video Games Opinions

I don't think Pirates Of THe Caribbean was meant to be a super smash hit with Johnny Depp being the breakout star. It just happened that way. And up to a point the sequels (2 and 3 anyway) he seemed to be making the effort

None of these have inspired the brief, but significant, burst of rage that the wrestling equivalent did. Do try harder, folks - I might start to feel like a balanced human being. Maybe I've just been too steeped in objectionable opinions over stuff like this over the years.

Nintendo are pretty shit. They do not much more than rape existing franchises that coax by their name, anytime they ever do something else it's shit. see: Wonderful 101 and Pikmin. Their fanbase are always so insanely loyal its crazy.

If it weren't for Zelda they'd be definitely shit

I could maybe - maybe, maybe - see this being true if it weren't for the two Mario Galaxy games being undoubtedly two of the best games of all-time. Super Mario 3D World looks like the shit.

Most of the first party games Nintendo produce are of much higher quality than they need to be.

Up is the best Pixar movie, followed by Brave.

Up can get by on the strength of its first ten minutes. Brave isn't even the best Disney film of its year.

Man of Steel was better than The Dark Knight Rises.

Duh.

Mine: The Last of Us is basically Uncharted with arthritis. Which is fine. Unfortunately, it's regarded as one of the best games of all-time just because most games' attempts at a story are about as clumsy as my attempts to chat up women - which, with scratch marks on my face and dirt under my fingernails, is to say very clumsy indeed.

Hotline Miami is waaay better.

The only thing game developers have gotten better at during the past three generations is rendering cut scenes inside of the game engine. Because of this, the focus has shifted onto cut scenes, rather than gameplay, steering the entire industry in the direction of creating a product more like an interactive movie, rather than a more traditional style of game that takes skill, precision, time, etc.

Another reason the shift happened is because video game developers have been trying to cater to the "immersion" crowd that's been begging for virtual reality for a long time, bringing us away from skill-based video games like platformers and fighting games. Because it's impossible to create a platform game that incorporates the kind of challenge Donkey Kong or SMW did (because of the fact that most games have either a first or third person view, instead of the top-down, or left-to-right view), you're never going to see a decent platformer ever again.

And before you Mirror's Edge motherfuckers come out of the woodwork, that game bombed horribly, and you're never going to see a sequel, or at least anything with the amount of funding the first game had. Gamers simply didn't like it.

Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, Super Meat Boy, Donkey Kong Country Returns and, by all accounts, Super Mario 3D World are all great platformers.

And as for never seeing a Mirror's Edge sequel, well...

I'll give you SMG, but R&C and Rayman games all have some seriously debilitating camera issues.

And I apologize if I wasn't clear. When I say platforming games, I mean ones in an open 3D setting, in either first or third person view, as opposed to left-to-right view. I'm sure Super Meat Boy and DKC Returns can be great games, as they're sticking to the format that made them great in the first place. And SM3DW looks pretty bad, in my opinion.

And we'll see what happens with the Mirror's Edge game. It was announced in 2009, and we'll see if it suffers from the major, gamebreaking camera issues the first game suffered from.

(That all being said, you were right and I should have read up a little bit more before I posted.)

- Zach Galifianakis is the worst comedian ever & if it wasn't for him being fat, looking weird & kinda sounding like a woman, he would never have worked in show business.
- Jennifer Lawrence is ugly & can't act worth a damn. Also The Hunger Games series is just an awful, teenage girl parody of "The Most Dangerous Game".
- Toby Maguire was a much better Spider-Man than Andrew Garfield & I actually enjoyed Spider-Man 3 a lot more than the new one, The Amazing Spider-Man.
- Apps & Games on your Phone > Computer Games > Hand Held Video Games Systems > Regular Video Games Consoles
- I'd rather read a book than play a video game.

Yeah because there are so many beautiful women out there who prefer a man that wastes tons of money on video games & throws away his time on things like waiting in line all night for the latest game release instead of a man that actually tries to better himself & expand his mind. :disappointed:

I think Monk is the greatest TV show ever.

I didn't like Jim and Pam getting together on The Office. They brought a more serious tone that was not needed.

I cannot watch shows with a laugh track. I don't care how good it is, laugh tracks annoy the shit out of me. I know this might not be an unpopular opinion, but my point was more I don't watch shows with a laugh track.

I didn't like any of the Star Wars movies.

I don't get why people like Grand Theft Auto so much. I thought the gameplay got really boring really quickly (although to be fair, I only played III and Vice City).

I know this was stated before but Assassins Creed games are boring. It's like Avatar, it's highly rated and adored yet I can't find anyone who actually liked it.

This one really isn't an opinion but I just felt like putting it here.
Unless I'm with people, I mute commercials.

This post does nothing to better yourself or expand your mind.

You should probably fuck off.

Why does everybody hate The Dark Knight Rises? Is it a case of it being acclaimed so much that it is eventually deemed as shit?

As for the thread, I believe that Kaley Cuoco is a pretty fine actress apart from being smoking and the only enjoyable part of The Big Bang Theory.

The first season of Game Of Thrones was the best. I don't know how the story progresses in the books but thus far Ned Stark has been the best character on the show.

The first two seasons of Breaking Bad were rather average.

For me, virtually the whole story of TDKR was poor. It seemed like a good comic book story that did not translate well to the big screen.

The time jump of Batman in the hole and the GCPD underground was horrible and cut the movie off dead in its tracks.

Bane himself was a decent baddie but his end was utter tripe and the reveal of who was pulling his strings was even worse. It felt so tacked on.

I dug the reveal. But if I had no previous knowledge of the character's existence in cartoons and comics, I'd have eye-rolled hard.
