Unpopular Film/TV/Music/Video Games Opinions

I think The Beatles are severely overrated.

I think that most Sci-Fi related stuff is unwatchable, however I do like Doctor Who.

Inception is probably the most overrated movie of all the times. "I mean like OMG it didn't stop spinning, but it looked like it was starting to topple over!!!! IS IT REAL OR A DREAM!?!?!" Who the fuck cares, I want my money back.

Also the most unpopular opinion of all time....

There is nothing greater in life than a good country song.

Being overrated doesn't necessarily mean something isn't good. And Inception isn't even Nolan's most overrated film.

Country music is one of the most popular types of music in the US. I don't like it at all, but I still recognize that. You just think it's unpopular because you live in Michigan, where it's less popular. I would say my opinion is more unpopular than yours.

What's Sony got?

Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, God Of War, Infamous, Killzone, Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, LittleBigPlanet, The Last Of Us.

I think that's about it. I'd honestly rather play those than 90% of the Microsoft exclusives

Overrated games.

Don't get me wrong, Microsoft's exclusives are overrated too. All exclusives are overrated because they're exclusives.

'Cept Zelda.

All videogames are terrible, even the really good ones, even the ones that I actually enjoy, no new releases are exciting with the exception of the carrot of TimeSplitters 4 being dangled in front of my face.

Oh right, cumulatively. I thought you were talking about next gen titles.

Who has the edge in that case? The only exclusives I remember Xbone having are Ryse, Forza, Dead Rising, Halo and for a little while Titanfall.

Here's an unpopular opinion (or guess if you want to be technical) from a guy like me who wouldn't buy an Xbone if it held my sister ransom: despite all the negative press and overall stupidity from Microsoft, the Xbone will outsell the ps4 by 2 million units by the end of 2016.

I don't know if that's true. Microsoft got a lot of negative press in the casual market, because of the privacy issues presented at E3, right in the middle of all this NSA political shit going on. People are really turned off by it, coupled with the fact that the PS4 is going to be like a hundred dollars less, and may or may not have better hardware...

But you know, just playing devil's advocate.

Left 4 Dead 2 is better than every single one of those games.

That doubles as a response and my unpopular video game opinion.

I know where you're coming from, but my opinion was based off of the way everything is presented where I live. I don't know how the systems are advertised in other countries like America because I live in Australia, where there's no press whatsoever on video games (unless it's stupid "Are video games destroying your children???!?" pieces) and the only way anyone here learns of new stuff in the genre is by being either an internet trawler or via advertising for specific games - and that's where I think Xbone has the edge (at least in my country) because they've dominated the advertising and marketing here over the past couple of months. I can count the amount of times I've seen a PS4 advert on one hand, but the amount of times you see an Xbone advert or a game advertised with a Xbone logo and the tagline "On Xbox One" is freaking massive. Obviously people who know about games and stuff would make a more informed decision on what to get, but my opinion was based off the assumption that the majority of people are stupid and will buy whatever is advertised better, which the Xbone currently is.

So the opinion is an unpopular one, but a (semi) justifiable one. Everybody wins :D

I like to call L4D2 a semi exclusive; as PC has it too, but the only console that has it is 360, so yeah, it's fine to use in a console debate. The early Halo games share this distinction too.

Honestly, the Wii won the console war this year by a large margin, but Xbox 360 on the whole was pretty good too.

I did not care for Up.

Aside from the D-Day Landing, I found Saving Private Ryan to be distinctly average.

They did a fan poll a few years ago to decide the best one, Ryan won, I think its because Murica is shown in a more positive light than in the likes of Apocalypse Now. Of course I am sure more people have seen it.

Tom Hanks's acting was good, but other than that and the opening, it was rather unmemorable.

The rest of the film isn't going to match the opening of Saving Private Ryan. It's still a quality film. All the best war films have one iconic moment that makes everything else in it pale in comparison.

The biggest problem with that genre is that they're all just too fucking long.

I really enjoyed it, I just prefer Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, The Thin Red Line, Apocalypse Now and Hot Shots; Part Deux.
