Unforgiven: The Start of the REAL Legacy?

Barbedwire Ropes

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
So with the announcement of this year's Unforgiven PPV taking place in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for the first time in over 10 years it got me thinking....

...with the debut of The Hart Foundation 2.0 this past week on ECW and with more than enough time before Unforgiven to come around, is it possible that we will see The Hart Foundation (2.0) go up against Shawn Michaels for some good 'old payback?

Think about how hot the crowd would be for that. Even if it is some unknown like Smith or Kidd going up against HBK that match would probably steal the show and especially if one of them were to beat HBK. Which would also be a great way to build up a new future star (most likely D.H. Smith)

Your thoughts?

not so sure on this one, HBK gets a shiteload of heat in Canada after the screwjob, but going over to a youngster from ECW... i can't see it happening. Legacy need to turn up the shitstorm they should have started ages ago... and need a stable to fight against- kind of like the MEM/Frontline that TNA dropped the ball on. DX reunion to make Orton/Legacy really pissed off could work quite well.

I think that is a hell of an idea!!! Only thing is, knowing HBK and his refusal to job a lot, it probably won't happen. Now if they do get this going though, the only way it can go down is to have some sort of Bret Hart involvement. Again highly unlikely but one can only dream right?

Revenge for the Screwjob? Are you living in 1998 or something?

A couple of years ago, probably 2006, there was a PPV (or it could've been a Raw episode) where DX came out to do a promo. The Canadian crowd cheered HBK for the first time in like 11 years. HBK got on the mic and said "Thank you, Canada, for forgiving me." which the crowd cheered for. Even Bret Hart says he's over the Screwjob.

So basically, the opportunity for an angle involving revenge for the screwjob is long gone.

Why can't some people just let Montreal go? I've got to agree with everyone above, there's no way HBK would put DH Smith over. Now there's a chance this feud could draw heat towards HBK in Canada, but I think that's about the only place it would happen. The only way this feud would seriously benefit Tyson Kidd or DH Smith, is if the Hitman himself got involved, and it's highly unlikely that will happen.

Speaking of the past being the past, I think some people need to let go of the past involving HBK's lack of desire to put people over. Over the past few year's HBK seems to have "grown up" and it would appear is more than willing to put over new guys. So not only is the Montreal Screw Job in the past, so is HBK's selfishness.

Seriously... let it go. Nobody is going to get revenge on HBK in Montreal 6 months before HBK hangs up his wrasslin' boots. Just not a good idea. Especially since it's like 12 years later or something. I forget what year it even happened because it's become so irrelavent to me. Plus, HBK and TNHF will probably never even cross paths being on a different show and all now that Smackdown and ECW are taped together and Superstars and Raw are together (I believe). Definately no offense to the original poster, but I can't think of a worse idea than to dig up something that happened 12 years ago and try to make it relavent again just because it's in Montreal...for a B-rated PPV...when nobody cares anymore...for one night.

I wouldn't like that one bit. It's been too long since its happened. Now, TNHF can hold a grudge, and I wouldn't mind a HBK Coalition being formed (Morrison/TBK) and having a go at it. But it really is not worth it. The Screwjob did not effect any of them personally, they do not need to be involved.

It seems to me like all the hot ideas for stables are heel stables. A Canada United deal would work with Edge/Jericho/maybe Christian (if you have him lose the title and get traded; matt hardy seemed to have no problem moving to smackdown).

The HBK/Hart Foundation idea is ******ed. HBK is HBK, not some wash up.

Legacy is a great stable, not much more need be said.

A face stable would be kinda hard to piece together right now. I wouldn't mind seeing a cruiserweight stable. Maybe have a build up where they all face big show.

The best way to build another stable is to bring in someone new. If you brought back angle that would be easy and sweet. Maybe RVD could come back and we could have something there. DX would be cool if they added something (NOT SHANE!!! I cannot stand watching shane anymore). Flair could confront orton and say he has a team he has put together (but for that to work, legacy would have to be on top of the world).

Oh well, maybe we won't get anything.

It would be really cool for people who actually remember the Montreal Screwjob, but unfortunately, most wrestling fans these days were under the age of 10 when it happened.

Plus, the "E" seems to be sticking with their brand exclusiveness... right now... so either DH Smith & Tyson Kidd need to crossover or HBK would have to make his return to ECW when he comes back.

Either way, excellent idea but it's not gonna' happen.

I kinda like that idea. How about HBK with Bret Hart vs either DH or Kidd, with Natalya and either DH or Kidd?

You could have the "Foundation" come out and call out HBK. They'll go on about the Screwjob and then a 3 on 1 beatdown happens.. The Foundation beats the crap out of Michaels until Bret's music plays and he comes down to the ring and HELPS HBK.

I know that'd never happen, but a guy can dream, can't he?

agree with everyone, Screwjob was too far in the past now. the Hitman is over it, and thats that. TNHF are a young stable, both in age and how long theyve been around. Not to mention the different shows and taping dates, just cant see it happening. But Legacy need a stable to face off against and NOT Vince, Shane and Trips (i mean their collective age must be approaching 150!), but maybe a new DX movement, as i said, just to piss off Legacy and maybe build up to an awesome HIAC match!

honestly, I'm gettin tired of all the hopes and aspirations of reborn stables of yesturyear.

Altho they are made up of sons of legends, Legacy is an original, and their characters build on their own instead of being primarily hyped up by who their fathers were (notice how they no longer put the "Junior" after Ted DeBiase).

all this talk of the new Hart Foundation and a New DX and a New Four Horsemen is nothing more than trying to still live in the 80s and 90s.

Plus with alot of stables, it always ends with one guy being the break-out star and the rest falling off the radar....so why even make new stables if they arent gonna last that long?
