umaga overrated

As much as most of you do not like cena i would rather see him loose to someone else than umaga. The guy brings no excitment or energy to the ring, he just screams and spikes people. I think umaga is better fit for a tag team than a title run. Much rather see orton, edge, hhh, hbk, or give the undertaker one last title run that would be awesome.

I wouldn't call Umaga overrated...In order to be overrated, people around here would have to think you were good to begin with and I don't think Umaga is that popular around the IWC....As for your question..I don't think he deserves the title run but he atleast deserves a shot...He IS Undefeated...When Samoa Joe was undefeated, TNA atleast put him in a program with Jeff Jarrett(albeit non title)...So It would only make sense to atleast give him a shot or his undefeated streak is pointless...When Goldberg had his, he was WCW Champion...Any guy who comes in and dominates the way they're having Umaga dominate, it wouldn't make sense to keep him away from Cena..Plus, Edge, HHH, It's been done before..They're probly saving Cena/Orton for Wrestlemania(which may include Triple H) which is why you've rarely seen them go one on one.Umaga's a fresh face to occupy Cena until Wrestlemania.Now Triple H and Randy Orton maybe facing Cena at WM which maynot sit well with many on the Internet due to Triple H and DX's lack of internet popularity but I, for one, would like to see HHH/Orton/Cena at Mania and maybe even a Triple H victory to continue the HHH/Orton feud...I thought that feud was good back when HHH was in Evolution but I always thought it'd be ten times better if Triple H was the face...Orton just looks more comfortable as a heel.Triple H hasn't had that World Title around his waist for two years now...I'd love to see either Randy Orton or Triple H come out on top and feud over that World Title..Only reason Cena's Champion is Merchandise well last I checked Triple H and DX aren't doin that bad in the Merchandise department either.

I personally think that Raw needs some better heels and SmackDown needs some better faces.

Raw has two of their best heels tied up in Rated RKO - that leaves Johhny Nitro (who has the tools, but isn't quite ready) and Umaga (just plain overrated). They need an infusion of new blood - either some promising newcomers from OVW, Monty Brown, or bring Mr. Kennedy over from SD!

SmackDown's faces are great if you love big guys that can execute about 5 moves correctly, or guys who are arguably in the twilight of their careers. Perhaps this brand could use a returning Carlito, CM Punk from ECW, or some repackaged members of the Spirit Squad.

On Umaga: He's just plain boring to watch. He has no personality, and Armando Alejandro Estrada just isn't strong enough of a character himself to get you even remotely interested in Umaga. But Vince McMahon apparently loves the guy, so we're all going to be subjected to him, and likely see him becoming WWE Champion. If not him, who else would get there? Clearly everything is going Umaga's way and without any other strong heels posing a threat, I would be very surprised if Umaga does not become Champion, either at NYR or sometime in the very near future. We can only hope that Raw has some good undercard matches planned.

How is he overrated? Nobody really rate's him as a wrestler. Obviously he's got his fan's but nobody ever goes on about him the way they do about other big guy's like Vader and Bigelow. I dont mind him, I'm not sure about the 80's gimmick but I think he's got over better than he should have done.

I hate Cena but I'd rather have him have the title than Umaga..No worries though, obviously Umaga won't take Cena's title.

Umaga doesn't even get a response from the crowd 90% of the time, no one cares about him.

How is he overrated?

He is overrated ... by Vince McMahon, who is pushing him to the moon despite the fact that he has a very limited moveset, is boring to watch in the ring, gets the "Charlie Haas Pop" as someone else mentioned (in truth, Charlie is getting more reaction now as a heel than Umaga ever has), and just has a stupid ass gimmick. He's supposed to be a Samoan wildman, yet he has all this ink and even has grills (!), and the only person that can control him is his Cuban manager Armando Alejandro Estrada. The character doesn't make sense at all, and basically all this represents is McMahon pushing his favorites regardless of how it affects the bottom line. I guarantee this NYR will be a failure compared to the ones of years past with the Elimination Chamber - you've got John Cena facing a guy who no one cares about. Umaga can't cut a promo, and AAE, while decent, is no Bobby Heenan or Jimmy Hart. Yet I won't be surprised at all to see Cena put over Umaga - Vinnie Mac likes him that much. Umaga is living proof that any big 6'4" + guy can walk in, get signed and brought up to the main roster real quick, and receive the big push if he gets on McMahon's good side. Ring and mic skills be damned.

Umaga is not overrated b/c even though he is getting a title shot at NYR we all know he is only going to lose or get DQ'd since Cena overcomes the odds all the time. This feud will not last longer than RR and Umaga will be out of the title picture for probably the rest of his career. He is undefeated so it only makes sense to reward that with a title shot. I did not hear anybody complain about Masters getting a title shot a few weeks ago and he can't even win a match, the reason why nobody said Masters is overrated is b/c we all knew he wouldn't win the title so why say Umaga is overrated when we know he isn't going to win the title?

I think Umaga will turn face in the near future and join Cryme Tyme. You might think that is a crazy prediction but this is the reason why i believe this: WWE revives old ideas and i think they are going to do the same to Umaga that they did to his real life brother Rikishi. Rikishi joined Too Cool and that sky rocketed their popularity with the fans. Umaga could join CT and they will be teaching him how to steal and how to talk gangsta style. I think the fans will find this very funny just like Too Cool when they would dance with Rikishi.

Armando will be absent for a while b/c Umaga would destroy him before joining CT. Armando would return to manage somebody else or wrestle b/c i think he is suppose to be a wrestler im not sure.

Becasue Cena is either going to be feuding with Orton or HHH for a Mania title shot, and that will become more clear once we find out who wins the Royal Rumble. Personally I think that they should bring back Rosie instead of Rikishi. Either that or find another member of the Rocks extended family to bring in. But Umanga is Iffy as a title holder. the stuff on Umaga's face is probably face paint because it is changing every week. But i can see Armando Alejandro Estrrrrrrrada becoming a very good heel manager. Unless they do what they did with Daivari and make him a wrestler with a big Body guard, that would be if that happened.

yea, well heres what i think will happen. yes umaga has everything going for him. but they wont give him the title. its gonna be like EVERY OTHER big match umaga is in. it will end in DQ. that way, cena stays champ, and umaga is still "Undefeated".

i wish something would happen with Umaga sometime soon. something different. he needs to be beat that way they can have him go down in the card. since he is undefeated it only makes sence to have him at the top, BUT he isnt a good character to be there, so they need him to lose, but that again would make him look... stoppable... and they probably wont let that happen.

i wouldnt mind seeing the whole turning face and joinin Cryme tyme. or even the bringin back rikishi idea, just somethin to take him off the damn main events. because his main events are too predictable.

Whats riding on the match?

will the winner be a champion in any way?

will him winning mean that the people he is teaming with get an advantage that wouldnt look right? (Summer Slam)

If umaga is by himself and a belt is on the line, he gets DQ'ed

if umaga is on a team that is gonna lose, either HE gets DQ'ed first, or he isnt even in the ring when the team loses.

The wwe is basicly doing whatever they can to keep his "Undefeated" streak alive. and its really annoying. is umaga overrated? not really, cuz no one seems to care, or take him seriously.
