Triple H VS Sheamus

I am actually interested in this match. I have been a bit of a Sheamus basher but he has grown on me and he has shown he isn't totally shit. This match is the chance to prove all his critics wrong and to prove he can hang with the big boys. Triple H needs to put Sheamus over or I'm scared he will fall back down to the mid card or even become a jobber just like Koslov. HHH doesn't need this win at all. He just needs to put Sheamus over big style and Triple H is one of the best men to do that. People give him grief about him not putting any one over. I say what a bunch of bullshit. So this is chance for Triple H to shut up the people who give him grief.

I just don't see this ending with a victory, clean or other, by sheamus. While I'm sure HHH will put him over by allowing sheamus to dominate for a majority of the match (and honestly, lots of HHH matches are him being dominated and then getting a pedigree from out of nowhere) my guess is that HHH is going to want to go back into the title picture soon and so he's not going to want a loss here.

Sheamus however will probably lose, and then once miz drops the US title at some point, will probably be a midcard title chaser.

I think Sheamus will win in a clean victory. This will be huge for Sheamus. I believe Sheamus will not only win but put Triple H on the shelf with an injury. At least that will be the story line. Shawn Michaels recently told Sheamus he needs to step up because he might not be around longer. So I think Triple H just might put Sheamus over especially since the wwe seems to be pushing the younger stars right now.

I was such a Sheamus basher until I saw this video and I know relise Sheamus is the shit and it is WWE is the problem, dont believe me just watch cause Sheamus is the best WWE has, they just need to trust him

I also think this will be a clean win by Sheamus. Since he aired I have been a fan of his and I think that alot of the haters are bothered by the parellels to Koslov which I fully understand, however I think Sheamus will have a lot more staying power. I'm hoping to see Sheamus win and make it clean and maybe even show off a new movset. Actually I have been watching him since he was in the independents and ThePh3nomonal1 has shown off his amazing repetoire of moves which I think he should really start to show. I would especially like to see some moves off the top rope from SOS.

First of all, i'm glad that they gave Sheamus this match as it could have been so easy to put him in the MiTB match and forget about him. We've had Orton/Edge/Booker as former champs in MiTB at WM23, Y2J in WM24 and Kane at WM25 so its not unheard of for former WWE/World Heavyweight champs to be involved in the match.

Second of all, i'm glad that hes going up against someone as certified as HHH. To go up against Rey (who as far as i can tell, is the only other top face available... maybe in a RAW vs SD! way like Batista/Umaga at WM24) would just reinforce the idea that Sheamus is a one trick pony: a big bully who destroys smaller stars. They big up the fact he retired Jamie Noble but i didn't even know he was still with the company till i saw him on that stretcher. By going up against the 'cerebral assassin', 'the game' Triple H, we as an audience can see the level that the company want to put him at: main event.

Honestly, i hope Sheamus goes over clean because i had my fill of dodgy wins over the New Year. Flukey win against Cena at TLC, numerous DQ and count out losses to retain the gold before the rumble which lead to another flukey match against Orton at the rumble where he retained again. Sheamus needs to go over clean otherwise all the build is pointless. I agree with a few of the previous posts that i do worry what he will do after WM but i am hoping a draft to SD! where he can feud with guys like Edge and maybe even talent coming over like Christian and Kofi but for the time being, he needs that clean win at Mania.

I think it's pretty funny that Triple H angled himself another WrestleMania world title match, only for his father in law to decide that Batista vs. Cena would be better of as a title match. As a result Triple H is in a mid card match, that in all likelyhood, will get very little responce.

If it's high up the card it has to compete with bigger and better matches, lower down the card it's got to compete with Money In The Bank high spots, super-over up and comers The Miz & R-Truth and possibly a very heated Rey Mysterio/CM Punk match.

After last year I can't imagine Triple H will leave much to chance. He'll make sure this match is as good as possible, the only problem is that Triple H often get's it wrong at Mania. If he tries to force and epic out of Sheamus it'll probably go tits up. My suggestion would be to go on first. In recent years WWE haven't been afraid to throw on the big stars on first on ''B'' shows and it's worked. This is a whole different show, but Triple H opening the show would get a massive reaction, Triple H should be able to have a lively match with Sheamus and this match simply isn't going to cut it later on in the card.

I tend to agree with Jake on this one, this match should open up the show. Triple H would be a great guy to have open the show and set the tone for the rest of the night. That way this match doesn't get lost in the spot monkey hell that is Money in the Bank, or the match doesn't get lost after the crowd is emotionally spent after Taker and HBK. If you stick it in between the title matches, it'll get lost.

It's a card where there is alot of emotion surrounding the big matches, this match doesn't have it. I'm thinking Triple H is going to lay down for Sheamus here, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is another win for the Game at Mania to build a ministreak before his ultimate retirment.

Triple H VS Sheamus as the opening match at Wrestlemania wouldn't be a bad idea at all. I also imagine HHH would get a HUGE pop when his music hits to kick off Wrestlemania. This would be a great way to start the show because the crowd will be pumped up from the fireworks show, and the singing of the National anthem. If this match takes place in between the WWE championship match or the world heavyweight championship match, then the crowd will likely be dead because all the emotion will be spent on the other matches.

While this would be a good way to kick of the show, I don't think it'll happen. The opening match will probably be the WWE unified tag title match, and Sheamus VS HHH will probably happen some where in the middle of the card.

As it's been said, this match should be at the very start of the show. It'll get the crowd ready for the whole show without it getting overshadowed by the match before or after it. Plus Wrestlemania kicking off with Triple's music would give an awesome pop. Not to mention, looking at the card right now, there's no divas match. So this match might end up being the "piss break" match. The tag title match will be too early in the show to be a break match and Orton will keep people in their seats during the triple threat. So if WWE want the crowd to stay in their seats throughout, let it open the show.

Wow that video was awesome ThePh3nomonal1. Now, I think that Sheamus should really win at Wrestlemania. If he pulls off some of the moves he used on that video, I can see him really becoming a HUGE Heel. Maybe that's why he hasn't used half of these moves so far? On the other side, Why should Triple H win? There is absolutely no legit reason that Triple H should win to me. Plus, If Triple H wants to take some time off, It would be a perfect way to give him that if Sheamus decimates him a Wrestlemania.

no way does Triple H walk out of this one as the winner. Sheamus is the next big thing in the wwe. And Triple Is Sheamus's Buddy, So by Sheamus Beating Now Randy Orton, John Cena, and Triple H he will he a bonified monster and possibly the new face of the company. Triple H has absolutely nothing to gain from beating the up and coming sheamus. Sheamus on the other hand has everything to gain. If triple H wins, Whats he gonna do. Cemment his legacy even more. is he gonna become a bigger legend then he already is. Is he gonna out shine this young kid. I dont think so. Triple H i feel will definetly put over Sheamus Tommorrow night at Wrestlemania

Sheamus needs to win. Since people say that the only reason sheamus won the WWE title is because of Triple H. Well Triple H needs to let Sheamus win this match. Like j.beaner siad Triple H has nothing to gain but Sheamus has everything to gain for beating a future hall of famer in his first year in the WWE's main brand and in his first wrestlemania. Sheamus needs this win if the WWE is trying to push Sheamus.

As a lot of people have already said and as I've said in other posts, Sheamus is the one that really needs to win this match and I think that's what's gonna happen tomorrow night. Sheamus is a young guy that's been built up well over the past several months and a decisive win over Triple H will cause his stock to rise higher than even when he was WWE Champion. Triple H is said to be having some problems with his quads and is rumored to be taking some time off, Stephanie is due to pop out another grandbaby for Vince this Summer. I mean, it's win-win for all parties involved. Sheamus gets over, Triple H is given believable reasons to take time off.

Sheamus to win.

This match is here for one reason and one reason only. Sheamus needs his push to continue. He laid out Cena and various others through his title reign, and lost it in a strong showing at the Elimination Chamber. If he were to be left out of a match at Mania, it would murder him and his push.

Now, if Sheamus is in this match to continue the push, then why would he lose? Sure, it's a match against Triple H, so any outcome would be a push, but why lose? The entire story of the match is "showing Triple H that Sheamus has what it takes." Why have Sheamus show he doesn't have what it takes?

Triple H will lose to the Celtic Cross. He is going to get massacred after a strong showing of offense, only to get tagged with the Pump Kick of his. Then two minutes of strong offense from Sheamus, only to have Triple H try a Pedigree. Sheamus counters and nails his Celtic Cross.

Pin, and win, go to Sheamus.

It would make most sense for Sheamus to win this match. What better way to continue building a former young World champion then putting him over arguably the top guy in the WWE, of the very least one of the top guys with a lot of pull. It would really solidify Sheamus as a legit competitor though I am already buying into him. His time as a World champion really did wonders for him and helped to build now if he can go over HHH I think he will solidify himself as a top guy for the next 5 to 10 years.

Funny how many people want Sheamus to win here, the guy the IWC hates they want to win. Rightly so, this is make or break for Sheamus, can you imagine if he goes clean over HHH? He gets elevated a lot more than an almost accidental table win over Cena and the win over Randy Orton.

If Sheamus wins expect to see him around for a while, if not expect to see him future endeavoured by SummerSlam.

Not all too thrilled about this match but at least it will be more interesting than the Legacy match. While I don't think Sheamus will get the win here, I think he'll be made to look strong. Others have said that this match can make or break Sheamus' career and they are right. If Trips beats him in a squash, then Sheamus won't be around much longer. If he gets the win then he will be more believable as a future main eventer. I don't think Sheamus will win but I doubt he will get squashed either, so I picked Trips to win after Sheamus puts up a good fight because then both guys will still look strong.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Triple H will defeat Sheamus.

Funny how many people want Sheamus to win here, the guy the IWC hates they want to win.
I thought this was strange too. I guess people's hatred of HHH not putting people over and sleeping with the boss's daughter means the IWC want him to put anyone over.
If Sheamus wins expect to see him around for a while, if not expect to see him future endeavoured by SummerSlam.
I think that is a bit of a rash statement to make. For starters, he's done years of FCW and the WWE's way of wrestling so why release him? He gets heat and as a previous poster has shown us, he has a pretty good moveset. I want and expect him to win but if he doesn't, he won't be released. He's Trips best bud for starters and the fact that he does draw heat means he isn't going nowhere. I see a draft to SD! in the near future, not a pink slip.

As HHH gets older, injured, what have you, there's also likely to be a certain new perspective creeping in. After all, he's a McMahon-in-Law, so it's not as though once his in-ring career ends he's without prospects.

Indeed, he has a bigger reason to protect the brand than just about any other wrestler, and it's possible that, as his time nears closing, that he may just focus on doing that kind of jobbing. Not to go complete jobber obviously, between ego and the fact that doing so would lessen the value of said puttings over, but to work at solidifying the roster when his in-ring days are largely done.

I say he does the job tonight.

I think Sheamus will win here. I think this match will be a lot better than people seem to think it will be. I really like Sheamus and can see him going far in the company. This should be the big, clean win he needs to solidify himself as a major player. The wins against Orton were fluky and his title win over Cena was in a tables match, which is probably the easiest kind of gimmick match for a big guy like him to win. A clean, major victory over Triple H at WrestleMania will have this guy set for months at least.

Now this one is interesting as either guy could win. This might be make or break for Sheamus. he never had a big win as champion. He would win things through dirty means and never got a big clean win that he needed to solidify himself as a major threat. Now, if he beats HHH, he has that win. HHH is a buddy of his, so there's a legit chance he'll put Sheamus over. I'm not sure either way here, but it could work out in the end. A 17 minute match should do fine and this will be no exception. Not a great match, but a solid one.

I stand by what I said before this match was announced and that is Sheamus will win. He will be the guy built up as the man who "beat Orton, Triple H and Cena in three months" or something similar. Sheamus is alledgedly where he is because of Triple H, and it only seems rght that that rub be continued. As for the match itself, Sheamus has only ever had one truly bad match against Orton, and the parts of the Elimination Chamber when they were facing off were quite good in actuality, so I think there's a fair chance that this will be a solid matchup.

Much better than I was expecting I have to say. And the crowd was also more into it than I thought they would be. It had some good near falls and spots, as well as quite a surprising winner.

I don't think the winner was a surprise at all. Taking a good beating followed by a pedigree from out of nowhere is how the majority of HHH matches tend to go these days. I honestly was surprised that so many believed that sheamus was going to be allowed a victory in this one. HHH clearly wants to be back in the main event picture again, so he was not going to take a loss.

My guess is that sheamus is going to be chasing the intercontinental title soon, probably once miz drops it to kofi.
