Today Politcs changes

You know, I realized something. Politics are going to be boring again. Now it'll just be politics, politics, politics. No more making fun of Bush.

The eternal cop out line of one who's dug himself in far too deep.

I have to agree with CCS though. I'm really fearful that Obama will sell the US to terrorists, make our women wear head scarves, convert us all to Islam, and then take a giant shit on a bald eagle.

Nah, He's going to make make us all worship spideman, only wear underwear, only eat sushi, and last but not least, make us all stop using indoor toilets.

Side note, That Cadillac is pimpin.

They really do call it the beast. I swear, if i see a 666 anywhere I'm going to go crazy.

This thread has slowly become a camouflaged RAW LD thread: you know, with all of the extreme jumping to conclusions and not giving scenarios time to develop before condemning them.

Well Obama would be the Anti Christ, and then that means Oprah is the false prophet.

I'm giving the guy a chance, but once I see my taxes sky rocket, that'll be the end of that.

Plus, you'll never see Obama fail, because the Ultra Liberal American Media won't let you see that.

Well, taxes ARE going to go up...I think that is a given. But that gives the government more money to create jobs, which will give the American people better economic security. I don't see how that is a bad thing. Individualistic, privatized attitudes are what got us into this crisis in the first place. Why not pay more taxes, redistribute, then have more wealth on a more widespread scale?

The high irony of that post is that individuals that were far too greedy are the ones that are bringing this country down, and they aren't the people that we think they are.

Everyone has personal blame. The millions of Americans that want to blame corporations and big companies don't want to take a look at their own credit card bills each month. Instead of living on a budget, they charge it, and they have this. Why should I help bail people out that lived beyond their means becasue they wanted stuff they couldn't afford?

If you live beyond your means, you are to blame. The company didn't make you go out and by that plasma TV, you did. That spa didn't make you go into the salon to get a manicure, you did. Instead of pointing the finger of blame at people that worked their asses off to be successful and living a jealous life, those people should take that finger, and point it right back at themselves as they stare in the mirror and say "I fucked up".

This country has gotten soft with a bunch of people not wanting to take personal responsibility. So no w, people that were responsible, have to pool their money to help the idiots out. That is bullshit. This is the response of this kid gloves living life that we've lived where no one in America can possibly lose. Everyones a winner and all that bullshit. Truth be told, you can't be a winner if there are no losers.

eh, its not that easy shock, but i think you know that. there is no blanket answer. not EVERY low class poor person lived above their means, they may just have a fucked up, shit situation. It happens a lot. A more even keeled approach towards both ends of the spectrum would be nice, but I would rather give to idiots than leave a high precentage of innocents out in the cold.

when we went to New Orleans, not EVERYONE on the roof tops were shooting, just a few morons. But you cant let the people who just had a shitty situation happen drown. so you have to save everyone.

The government doesn't need money to create jobs. That is socialism. It worked for a brief time in the thirties and forties, but it won't work today.

Business needs more oney to create jobs. The airlines aren't laying people off because they have too much money. They can't afford to pay them. Lowering the billions the airlines pay in taxes would allow more people to work, creating a tax base from which the government could draw the same or close to the same amount, from 10,000 employed people instead of costing those jobs to get one big check from the airline itself.

...in theory

how did the US get out of the great depression, The New Deal, that was government created jobs. So pretty much, all the civic work can be done for cheap now. and that will help the US economy out and get shit done.
