WWE Politics: The Rock

A thought came across my mind concerning the "politicking" that goes on in WWE. Several members of the IWC have no problem talking about how certain wrestlers have played the politcal game in the past/present to keep their spots on the rostor. Here is a list of names I've come across:
Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Triple H, HBK., Hulk Hogan

These are all big names within WWE/The World of pro wrestling. Whether they're popularity came from politicking is questionable, but you can't deny their success. I don't want to put Stone Cold on that list, because he became sooo popular he didn't need to play the polical game. However Austin has admitted in the past he didn't want anyone taking his spot (as if anyone but The Rock could LOL)

Here's my question. Do you think The Rock ever played the "political game"? Of all the wrestling threads I've read, I've never seen The Rock accused of playing WWF politcs. Here's a guy that became so popular in WWE, that he was able to make the jump to Hollywood and start a new/better career based on his charisma. IMO, Rock didn't need to play politcs in WWE, because he was (still) young, athletic, well built, tall, and could talk as well as anyone on the mic. Some say he's untouchable on mic skills.
