TNA Impact 5/5/2011 - The Thread (I Think)

I wouldn't be too quick to crap on IDR here, I think he is doing an excellent job as TNA moderator. It's the most difficult job on these forums, trying to generate and maintain interest in this sub-par product. I'm surprised he doesn't miss starting more LD's than he does. Because some weeks it's near impossible to hype the show and last through 2 hours of it.

I like IDR a lot and he does do a good job. That said, I don't like that he's on board with this boycott of LDs to the point where one didn't even exist today. That's not cool. I mean this whole "we don't wanna deal with complaints" thing that the uber marks are doing is annoying to begin with, but to basically say F U to all of wrestlezone because of fear of complaining?

.....why doesn't Hogan just fire all of Fourtune? I never got that.

Always been a flaw in pro wrestling since the "bosses" became on-screen characters. Mr. McMahon had millions of reasons to fire Austin during the late nineties, yet never did it even though Austin made his life a living hell.

I guess the philosophy behind is that the boss is too stubborn to let his rival off so easily. No, before he fires him he wants to humiliate and beat their ass for weeks on end, until that person is ready to admit that the boss has been right all along and is better than him.

The same reason Vince didn't just fire everyone when he was the nutty owner I guess. It's probably the reason I think these ownership storylines aren't good. Too much suspension of disbelief in 2011.

I wish Suicide would just commit suicide already. What a worthless character.

... and I guess this is TNA's answer to WWE signing Sin Cara.

Way to soon for Jeff to come back imo

I'll go on record and say if it is him, I will be very angry. I won't say stop watching because until I hire someone to cover it on my site I won't do that, but Jeff needs help. Fuck business, fuck his name, he needs help. I hope he's away for a long time because his life is more important than TNA's ratings. Get the dude the help he needs and just forget about him on TV for the time being.

I always thought Vince didn't because he tried to do it once and Austin held him at gunpoint.

Oh and it won't be Jeff. It'll be a letdown of some sort and they're not going to let Jeff come back A, that fast or B, in a tag team that he'd be happy in.

I agree. Send him to the WWE rehab or Dr. Drew, let his legal matters clear, then possibly let him come back.

He also fired him once only for Shane to sign him to a 5 year deal, only for that to happen so Vince and Shane could align. Yea, there wasn't a ton of logic in that time period either with this ownership stuff.

Lol at all of the TNA marks being driven off from the LDs because they can't handle people voicing their opinion on their beloved show.

this dude Sangiento is pretty slow, I didn't find him all that great for a debut.

He's not new, it's just Amazing Red under a mask. He's literally been with the company since day one.

Lol.. that Bischoff/Hogan segment made me feel like I was watching The Departed.

I was actually waiting for the dude from Unsolved Mysteries to come out in his trench coat and say if anyone has any information about this please call 888-252-Hulk.

What the fuck, they're acting like Hogan fired Jay Lethal kayfabe? That's so fucking stupid.

I don't know why you guys are hating on Roode, that promo he cut in the start of the show was very good.

Like I said... I just never liked the guy. Mediocre wrestler, poor personality.

However, I can admit his delivery on the mic is decent, but still... that promo overall wasn't, imo. If he has such a problem with Hogan, quit fucking whining about it and go beat his ass. Hogan was standing right there, and all Roode did was bitch and moan like a little baby.
