Thoughts on WWE's cryptic tweet? #RestinPieces?

Let's look at the tweet #restinpieces it's the WWE Logo in the picture either the WWE is ending after Wrestlemania 30 (hopefully not) or tere getting a new logo or changing the company name again if you look at the picture very closely

With them making it evident (on TV, at least) that Stephanie and Hunter will be running the show doing forward, now would make sense to finally update the logo. If and when Vince finally steps aside and Stephanie and Hunter do take over, it would be nice to re-brand the company a little to reflect the changes.

Its obviously Taker or Kane. "Rest in Pieces" (peace) suggests The Undertaker but I can't imagine he is returning any time soon. Kane's return is upcoming and he needs to finish his feud with the Wyatts.

I suppose it could be someone after The Undertaker, so rather than Rest in Peace it is Pieces. The Wyatts could begin an interesting feud. Completely over-thinking it but; maybe it is Kane after Taker. Taker vs Kane at what could be Taker's last Survivor Series could be pretty cool.

It's for Kharma. She has hinted that WWE was seriously considering bringing her back in and I think this is a sign it's a done deal. With the Diva's division finally getting some attention, all the stars are aligned.

I know Kharma is pretty butch, but using the term "Beneath his feet" would be a bit of an insult wouldn't it? :wtf:

My first thought was Kane like almost everyones else. But after watching the newest NST show i noticed that they wear red and black... so it could be them.

Looking at it again, there is clearly threads present, so that suggests to me that the thing in the picture is a shirt.

I was thinking of trying to cut as many full tiles as possible out of the image, and seeing if anything more can be figured out from that.

My thoughts on that?

Broken souls (Kane) lay beneath his (Wyatt) feet.

Basically the Wyatts dragged Kane off, broke him, initiated him into their group and now they're bringing him back in an entirely different form. I mean, that is Kane's costume cut up into pieces, is it not?

WWE's cryptic promos aren't always accurate. Remember Jericho's 'End of the World' vignettes? They talked about the "girl", which had no meaning whatsoever.

That being said, I forgot what WWE's exact message was. You're right.... it's not for Kharma. ;)

Jesus. My vote is still for Kane, even though part of me thinks it is some other guy on the roster who has been out and is getting repackaged.

But then again WWE could be trolling us all with everybody's favorite new wrestler, Restin Peace.

Lol at Restin Pieces but I think it is Evan Bourne he wears those colors most of the time and the second tweet looks like an X Ray possibly of his foot which was in pieces while he was resting. That's my logical choice but my illogical wishing choice is Batista mostly because the second tweet says "I walk the path no one else chooses to" or something like that and his theme song says "I walk alone" along with other similar sentiments

I highly doubt this, just because of the gimmick and character, but Xavier Woods is supposed to be the next NXT to move up to the main roster. I guess we always throw his name out there just in case.

Imagine if it was yet another brother of The Undertaker, finally appearing after all thes years to finall end the career of his older brother at WrestleMania (Rest In Pieces), breaking the streak and receiving a MEGA push.

Nah...I'm just kidding. This 2nd cryptic tweet has totally confused me. I can't tell what that picture is at all.

kane or undertaker now when did kane ever say rest in peace?
im thinking this makes more sense to be taker than kane.
however kane probaly will return and feud with bray wyatt again.
but im hoping undertaker will return with kane and be the brothers of destuction vs wyatt family.

I thought it might be a new logo but the tweets read as if they are from a singular person, I think a corporate thing like logo change would be handled in a more straight forward way.

The words in the first tweet are going to make anyone think that this is either about Taker or will eventually lead to him, I mean surely it has to given talk of souls and the hashtag. The colours also suggest Kane, perhaps setting something in motion involving Taker, Kane and The Wyatt's at Survivor Series.

I hope it's Sting, but the only problem I have with that is he won't have his awesome TNA theme, Lights go out and that shit plays and I get really HYPED. I don't think it's Kane because they are not gonna hype his debut it's gonna be a surprise from out of no where and he will turn to join the Wyatts. If it is Taker I don't get the red cause that's never been his colors. As for Punk why would they tease a guy who is still actively competing. I honestly could also see Ohno cause he knocks people out so that could be the souls beneath his feet.

Taker did wear red as part of his set up a few times. Especially during his big evil' days he had the red sideless top with BIG EVIL on it, and his demon horn logo on his pants was red for a while in the mid 2000's. So dismissing it from Taker because he never used red is wrong and idiotic and shows how little people have paid attention to Taker's ring gear.

Right, since my last post was deleted because of "spamming" I will re-post it.

It's Undertaker, the third tweet confirms it. It refers to WWF Survivor Series 1990 (11-22-90). AKA Undertaker's debut unless I am mistaken?

I'll probably get an infraction for posting spoilers next.....

Looking forward to finding out when he returns! I'm guessing Survivor series match followed by one final WM match?

theres another tweet that says born a surviour then has the date undertaker deubuted./ so this is undertaker now this could be a silly dvd. but hopefully not.
if undertaker returns i seem him either going after sandow "if he's the whc"
or bray wyatt "cause it would be a good gimmick.
i know people says he hadnt stopped feuding with ambrose yet.
but undertaker shouldnt be wrestling for the us title. and ambrose shoudlnt have to job to taker. the only way ambrose vs undertaker make sense is to build taker up to mania 30. but it would hurt ambrose in the process which is bad

It's pretty obvious that it's referring to The Undertaker as a few other people have mentioned. The date of 11-22-90 is a dead give away as that was the date of Survivor Series, where Taker first debuted. The second pic that was part of the second cryptic Tweet looks like it's part of Taker's symbol, what they've referred to as a "cross" at various points. The third pic with the third Tweet looks like a close up of part of Taker's chest while wearing a singlet with the duster as he's holding his arms outward.

I'm not sure if it means Taker is returning or not. If he does return, then I'm guessing it'll be at Survivor Series since his debut date is specifically mentioned. Also, if he returns so soon before WrestleMania season, I can't think of what they're gonna have him do. I don't believe they'll take a risk of him wrestling, thereby risking injury, before WrestleMania XXX. So, all in all, I'm thinking that it might be hype for an upcoming DVD compilation.

I've seen some theories that it's just something to do with the videogame launch but I hope it means Taker will be at Survivor Series and have one last run from where he started to WrestleMania, where he created his legend.

I finally figured it all out! This maybe just overthinking since I have a lot of free time tonight, but it is a conspiracy theory I am proud of! This is about #RestInPieces

Obviously some background for this theory. In 2011 WWE ran cryptic videos for the return of The Undertaker. They made it obvious who it was, but there was more to it. A second person was in the video, Triple H. The vignettes were a double return.

#RestInPieces is the same case.

The first cryptic tweet to come out was "Broken souls lay beneath his feet. #RestinPieces" Now this quote was obvious to be either Undertaker and Kane, but the picture didn't match the Undertaker at all. It was a picture with the color scheme: red, white, and black. People initially thought Kane, but someone else had that color scheme; Batista.

The next day a second tweet and picture were sent out for the WWE Universe. "“I have taken it upon myself to walk a path where no one else chooses to.” #RestinPieces" With a picture that seems to be obviously from Undertaker's "TX" symbol. This is a direct quote from the Deadman in which he said: "
So I have taken it upon myself to walk a path where no one else chooses to. I draw strength from the spirits of the dead." There is another thing this message could mean though...it means he walks a place where nobody else follows, he walks alone. The lyrics to Batista's theme song: "I walk for miles inside this pit of danger. A place where no one follows me, I walk alone."

On the third day another message was sent out. This message again made it obvious the Undertaker was returning. "Born a survivor 11.22.90 #RestinPieces" With a picture that appears to be the Undertaker's back. November 22, 1990 was the date when The Undertaker debuted as The Deadman at Survivor Series. This made people think he was returning at Survivor Series, but as I argued yesterday WWE wouldn't be posting this stuff so fast just to have a month and a half break before he actually comes back. What PPV would he be able to have a match at though? Hell in a Cell. In 2011, two men had a Hell in a Cell match at Survivor Series. Wanna guess who? Batista and The Undertaker.

The fourth message sent out today was "@Todd_McFarlane will soon give rise to an icon. #RestinPieces" with a picture of Undertaker's fist. At first this may seem confusing what would Todd_McFarlane have to do with anything? After some research I found out he has worked with Marvel as a comic book writer, and one of his characters had appeared in the comics "Guardians of the Galaxy" Well, guess which former WWE superstar is in the upcoming Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy? If you guessed Batista you are right.

Therefore, it is my conclusion that the tweets are obviously The Undertaker, but there is more to it. It will also be the return of The Animal Batista! There is two things that will come out of this, fans would be super excited for a double return, and promoting. 2k14 has a special Undertaker edition of the game. Undertaker would return to boost its sales, have a match at Hell in a Cell and disappear after the game's release until WM season. Batista could start promoting his movie early by having a match at HiaC and become a part timer up until the movies release.

Tl;DR Batista is returning as well as the Deadman.

That's an interesting theory and the way you put the pieces together makes sense in a way but I highly doubt that Batista is returning. For a start he's still filming Guardians of the Galaxy and also has made mention numerous times on twitter that he doesn't agree with WWE being PG-13, and would only return if it changed. He's also said he accomplished everything he wanted too in wrestling.

Taker returning to have a mini-feud with The Shield would be kinda interesting before he disappears again until February to start WM build-up. Sticking him in 3 on 3s also makes sure he is protected well enough.
