This has to stop...

Oh FFS..

REALLY?

Ok... First off, this is a work off of his failiure of a drug test... Brock is now the bad boy WWE can't control... the thorn in the side of Mick and Steph who could cost them the company.

It is legit the ONLY way they can spin Brock now... as out of control... is it hypocritical, absolutely but it's a great story if the deal Steph or Mick signed him to means he can't be tested/controlled.

The Hero stuff to an extent is true, but there hasn't been a "killer" heel in a long time... they just got suckered into believing both Trips and Orton were...

People aren't tired of Lesnar, in fact him decimating Randy this way is GREAT for him and the story... Remember how Randy took people out with a punt... Brock can call Karma... not the woman but the concept, into his promos... There is more to this... and it's interesting... Add a Balor injury and Randy asking to "move to RAW" to take on Brock isn;t beyone the realms in the story... Shane gets a stupid trade out of it, say Cesaro so the SD v RAW side of the 7 matches gets borne out... and maybe he steals Bully Ray...

before reading this remember this is the personal opinion of Frank N Stein. It in no way reflects the views of the WZ staff or any forum member. Thank you for your time.
Brock Lesnar can fuck off and die for all I care. I was ok with him only showing up a few times a year and always winning because everyone involved agreed to it despite his attitude infuriating me.

after so long of the same thing every match couple with his attitude and being allowed to treat Orton like a bitch and I just don't give a shit about him. I don't hate him because he's a heel, I hate him because he is an asshole and I can't bring myself to care about anything the man does.

They have built Lesnar into a monster for sure. His only losses have been to Cena via street fight, HHH in no DQ and Undertaker. And before anyone says, well Taker cheated. Yes, he did.. But Brock cheated in their final match as well.

I absolutely love it. I love it even more that everybody now hates it. He's doing what he's supposed to be doing and it's working like a charm. You hate then you love him then you hate him again.

People claim they want a change in the way WWE does things, but they really don't. When it comes right down to it they sort of want the same 50/50 booking, same old predictable finishes, and sports entertainment. Well that's not Brock. He wins. Then he wins again. Then he kills. Then he kills again. And again. It's not supposed to "help" Orton. It's not about figuring a safe way to protect both guys so you can do more stale storytelling later. One wins, one gets hurt.

Sorry folks, that's how wrestling should be. That's how it was in the good old days. One guy is the star and the other guy does the job. Then somebody else tries and fails. Wash, rinse, repeat until people stop paying for it or somebody's hot enough to stop him.

To answers you question, it's all about the money as far as lesnar is concern, the live gate of summerslam would have been the same with or without lesnar but to say that he isn't a draw anymore isn't really the case. The lesnar vs orton match was a draw for the company and it serve getting more subscription to the network which is why they still book him like the do. Because to the average wrestling, the summerslam name isn't as big of a draw as wrestlemania and except for cena vs aj, what match would get the average fan attention?

Plus, while lesnar got booed out of the building which I'm fine with because he's better as a heel anyway, the guy got one of the biggest reaction of the night again. He was more over then 90% of the wrestlers on the card and that why he can do whhat e wants in wwe

I say this with all due respect: you have a proclivity for making statements without providing any evidence that support them. You may very well be correct in asserting that Network subscriptions increased as a result of the match between Orton and Lesnar, but with no statistics to back up this claim, using this as a means to persuade is argumentatively inappropriate.

My brief thoughts: the premise of this thread, I think, is unfair. Lesnar dominating his opponent is the narrative. One is entitled to feel that this narrative is redundant or dull, but it is still a story being told in the ring by a performer who is in the midst of being billed as unstoppable (albeit at the expense of guys like Randy Orton, who deserves a ton of respect for essentially participating in a squash match last night). Many believe that Undertaker's streak existed to be broken so as to conduct a "heat-transfer" to the breaker. WWE is clearly attempting to do the same with Lesnar. As someone mentioned earlier, the WWE tried in vain to conduct a heat-transfer with Roman Reigns and Lesnar, but many fans rejected this choice and the rest is history.

Despite there (arguably) being no one on the horizon capable of stopping the beast, conventional wisdom says it's worth it to create in Brock Lesnar an invincible force so some lucky wrestler can dethrone him and claim their victory over Lesnar as proof they are the best. My pipe-dream is for Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat the Demo-gorgon aka Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 32. A boy can dream...

After watching this match Orton vs Crock Lesnar and yes guys they fought over a decade ago on smackdown mc moron decided to make it a UFC style ending cause Orton has returned and didn t want Orton pinned so Orton has something to talk about on mic
What the ending should have been is have GOLDBERGs music playing and Lesnar turns around as Orton slowly rises and waits to give Lesnar the 6th RKO and lay him on the mat and pin him or OR
to make it more realistic as WCW used to do is bring security and or police and handcuff Lesnar could have been a better ending completely not this crappy ending we got spoon fed luckily the bars in Canada order this crap ppv and I didn t have to pay a cent to mc moron to be suckered in
But Orton will get his rematch its not over yet till Paul Heyman sings!

I think WWE needs to find the guy they want to be their next "monster" and have Lesnar put him over as this contract is about to expire. Right now, I think that should be Braum Strowman (sp?). The guy has huge upside and even though he is green, he can be what the Big Show should have been before being overexposed. Let him be the guy that can "take everything Brock gives him and spits it right back." He goes over, Brock goes into HOF, and let the new big monster take over.

it won't happen, but it's a way to salvage Brock's latest run.

Have you ever heard of a monster heel?

Lesnar is now the most legit monster heel they've EVER HAD.

I don't expect people to "like" his act, but you're not supposed to. At the end of the day, if he doesn't draw your eyeballs to the screen, check your pulse.

Of course I'd like to see more than just suplexes before he cuts heads open, this is a valid complaint. I just don't agree w/ the complaint that he is built up too much.

Andre the Giant did lose yes but at the time Hogan was already the guy and Vince was more than comfortable with Hogan to be the one to beat Andre. Reigns status by WM31 was nowhere near Hogan, Rock, or Austin and neither anyone in the roster at this point.

I know. I agree. My post was entirely dedicating to defending the idea of Lesnar's complete dominance. Read it.

The big problem with Lesnar besides the fact the clock is ticking once his next contract expires is that he appears in limited dates. Even to build up a match Heyman is doing most of the promo and build, and we know Heyman's contract is already up as well. From what I've seen in the past programs with Lesnar is that Lesnar's appearance in the WWE is too limited to build up any heat for any match up.

"Limited dates" isn't a problem because it adds to his mystique. He's the one guy in wrestling that isn't overexposed and it helps him tremendously. With every other guy we see them working the same matches week in and week out, doing crazy spots every ngiht on Raw and SmackDown, so there is absolutely nothing special about the pay-per-view. This is the reason why PPVs in the modern era just feel like extended Raw episodes. Lesnar doesn't have that problem. Also, the limited dates thing helps with Lesnar's legitimacy as it mirrors the schedule of an actual fighter, which he is.

The more interesting question to pose at this stage now, is who should Lesnar lose to. Cena is probably the only guy with the credibility at this point, but he's already lost to Lesnar multiple times. Everyone else on the roster is a midcarder in comparison to Lesnar, which essentially brings us to one conclusion: it has to be somebody new. I've heard talk of a Lesnar/Joe match, and Joe could be leaving NXT for the main roster soon, but while I like the diea of the match I don't think Joe is the guy to beat him. The only name I can think of is Shinsuke Nakamura. Not only is he over like sex now in NXT, his natural charisma will definitely translate well and allow him to get over on the main roster as well. With the right build-up, he could become the most popular wrestler in the company. So that's a good start. Beyond that however, Nakamura has a level of legitimacy that can match will Lesnar. He's te King of Strong Style for a reason, he strikes are stiff and he incorporates a lot of realistic submissions. Nakamura is the ultimate wrestler because he somehow perfectly marries over-the-top theatrics and charisma with an extremely believable fighting style. Nakamura also has a legitimate MMA background, with a 3-1 professional record. Finally, he's not too small. The guy is 6'2, and despite Lesnar outweighing him you'd still be able to suspend your disbelief.

So yeah, Nakamura is the guy.

"no one gets over"
Bullshit. Everyone on the card getting more eyeballs because Brock is on the card gets more over. Brock beats superstars. Superstars who won't be hurt by losing to Brock.

Lesnar shows up every now and then to do something savage. Then that is used to market his next attraction match.
