CM Punk is rumoured to be a ****e as well as Batista.
Not to drag this off topic, but for clarity, Punk has been in a number of confirmed, long-term relationships with women in the industry, not going around being a man****e. Straight Edge also means not engaging in promiscuity.
As for the thread itself, I'm sick to death of Kelly. If she had a backstage segment or something, I'd probably look forward to seeing her every week. Unfortunately, we get to see her work some of the worst matches within the Divas division, and heaven forbid they give her a microphone, she's embarrassingly talentless in that department. She is the perfect example of the bimbo/Barbie doll "only there for her looks" Diva that people so often complain about. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge supporter of the division and think that people are often pretty harsh in their commentary, but KK is the poster child for the negative stigma associated with the argument.
Do I think KK will be the female Cena? I don't think so, and I sincerely hope not. Cena gets a bad rap for working one dimensional matches, but as we've all been reminded of in his matches with Punk, the guy can go when he wants to and is permitted to. Beth has clearly been carrying KK's weight in the ring (no pun intended) and made her look infinitely better in the process. Cena got to his Superman status through a lot of hard work, and that can't be denied, no matter how much I dislike his character or his constant possession of the belt. With Kelly, it's a bit different.
Kelly's face gets put on all of the marketing materials because she's arguably the most appealing Diva with respect to the average person's aesthetic preferences (personal preference, but among that type, I prefer Maryse). Pick up a magazine or a program and look at a generic WWE ad--she's on it and probably the only Diva featured. From a marketing standpoint, her having the belt makes sense, and as Vince reminds us, it's all about the money.
From a fan's perspective, and I'm not talking Little Jimmy here, it doesn't really make sense. Having the two most dominant, talented and impressive women in WWE jobbing every week is just silly to anyone who actively watches the show. Hell, even if you're watching for the first time. There is only so far that you can take the underdog, fluky upset booking, and two shows a week for a few months and two PPV matches is way beyond the threshold. I loved the DOD heel turn and initial agenda, but they need to start looking as dominant as they claim to be and we all know they can be. If Beth loses tomorrow, I will be pretty depressed.
