May is done, surely. Even if the polls are out in the Tories' favour by twenty seats, she's absolutely fucked it. And I'm looking nervously over her shoulder at the parade of even bigger *****.

The polls say that Theresa May, who went into the vote to gain a better majority, has actually lost seats. She's weakened her hand and opened up the floor to Labour and a hung government. If Labour can outperform that poll and take even 10 more, I'd be looking at a SNP/Labour coalition. I'd take anything over a fucking Tory government.

Hung parliament.

A party needs to hold 326 seats (out of 650) to hold an absolute majority (i.e. >50% of the seats). The Tories are predicted to get 314 as per the exit poll (i.e. people outside of the marginal seats asking people who they voted for and extrapolating the result from that). In this scenario, no single party holds an absolute majority (i.e. a hung parliament). Labour, against all odds, appear to have gained seats and could theoretically form a coalition government with the Liberal Democrats and the Scottish National Party (if they have 326 seats or more between them combined - which they likely don't).
