Mannequin Republic
Pre-Show Stalwart
The Cena that got over is way different than the nowadays Cena. And although is really easy to hate him now you have to take a step back and realize how much he has changed in the transition towards the main event. His promos, for example, were pretty awesome and improvised to some extent, and the people loved that because the guy is indeed a funny bastard, I mean, I'm a freaking 'Five questions' mark and I dont even like Cena lol. His style in the ring has been pretty toned down as well, he has been forced to work on a more basic move-list that goes pretty much like...
Brawl - Brawl - Get owned - Come back with a (and i mean ONE) driver move - Get owned again - Come back with the clothesline/Knuckle Shuffle/STF/FU
And they work the ending from there. Back in the day Cena would replace the 'brawl' part with some very nice technical moves that actually made him look legit. Now he is like a hardcore rock band that's been told to play pop-punk.
