Don't be surprised when I tell you this... but Evan Bourne is suspended.

Okay.. now that the "surprise" is out of the way.. what would you do with the Tag Team Titles with one half of the members suspended?

Well, first off, I would have had them dropped the belts before I suspended Bourne. I can't believe their just going to let Kofi run around with one Tag Title for 30 days, while we all wonder where his partner is.. because I doubt they'll mention Bourne being suspended on Raw. Unless, Michael Cole is allowed to take a jab at it.

The Tag Team revival's looking good right? Half a tag champ... no challengers...

There is ton's of options out there that are better than having that going on.

You have old tag teams like The New Age Outlaws and The Headbangers who can still go...

You have young teams like The King of Wrestling coming into FCW... they don't need work.. just bring them up... call them Wrestling Royalty... and have them gun straight for the Tag Titles... no waiting.. they don't feel they need to wait, their just that good.

Or at the very least you could have let Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler capture the Tag Titles for a short while, while Evan Bourne is out.

Having Kofi run around with half a title for 30days while Evan Bourne is missing on the back of a milk carton for the kiddys.. is not quite the answer if you ask me....

Since he is a champion, they'll most likely explain his absence with a kayfabe "injury" and make it so that tonight ZigSwag or whatever their called Defeat Kofi in a 2-on one handicap match for the WWE Tag Team Titles

^I hope they do that. It won't be fair if the tag team titles are held hostage because Evan f'n Bourne went and got suspended. Plus, Dolph and Swagger are a much better tag team anyway imo.

Why not have Miz and Truth win the titles tonight by defeating Kofi and Cena, who would be filling in for Bourne. This way they can take the titles off AIR BOOM and put them on AWESOME TRUTH so they look like the strongest tag team in WWE going into the SURVIVOR SERIES. Also, they can get some revenge on Cena for last weeks beat down on RAW.

The Tag division won't run aground with Bourne's suspension, have the attack by Team Barrett last week explain his status and when he returns have Barrett/Cody challenge for the belts at TLC, I'm not saying Barrett/Cody should win the belts but at least give them the TLC PPV slot to explain the attack and outcome, and even if they do win belts give Air Boom the opportunity to get them back at the Rumble and let Barrett/Cody go their own ways heading into WrestleMania.

I hate it when a Tag Team Champion has to drop their Title because their partner got injured or in this case, not injured. It’s not fair to Kofi. Putting him in a handicap match would be a rip-off, but with Johnny Ace in charge, I can actually see it happening.

If anything, I would have Kofi Kingston pick a new, temporary partner, similar to what Chris Jericho did when Edge got hurt. That partner needs to have Tag Team experience and also needs to have chemistry with Kofi. There is only one man in the WWE Universe that could fit this description. There is only one man in WWE History that could take that criteria and be successful with Kingston. That man is, CM Punk!!

Then they could face Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez for the Tag Straps.

I like the idea of having R-Truth and The Miz win the titles. It would be great for the Tag Divison heading into a match against Cena/Rock.

Tag Titles don't need to be on the line, but it wouldn't matter because I'd put Miz/Truth over anyways because Rock/Cena will turn on each other.

(cough cough) the Usos? I mean they're like the only legit tag team in WWE that wasn't randomly thrown together. They have a great history, with their family heritage and what not. I'm freakin' Rikishi is their father! That right there should be an edge. Plus, they work quite well together. The only problem is that some folks might have a hard time telling the two apart. But still, The Usos, would be my # 1 choice. Say Bourne got injured, have a battle royal on Raw for the titles, and have the Usos win! Problem solved.

Id rather have ZigSwag win the titles then Awesome Truth, because i want to wait until after SS to throw the titles on them, but ZigSwag are just going to be filler champions until then.

The tag team revival won't be wrecked due to Bourne's suspension. It might be put on hold for a bit, which is unfortunate for Kofi Kingston. Air Boom has done a good job as champs and it's always possible, as someone else suggested, that Bourne's absence will be explained as an "injury".

I'm surprised that Air Boom didn't drop the titles at last week's SmackDown! taping. It would have been usual procedure for it to happen. It makes me wonder if WWE might decide to keep Air Boom's title run go on after Bourne comes back. Again, it's not usual procedure for someone to keep a title after coming back from suspension, but Kofi & Bourne are, by far, the most liked and relevant tag champs WWE has had in quite a while. From what I've read, it's suspected that Bourne tested positive for synthetic marijuana and not steroids or harder drugs. If I'm not mistaken, artificial whacky backy only became illegal at some point fairly recently. So maybe, just maybe, Bourne isn't in as much trouble as we might think.

As to who should have the tag titles if they do drop them, Awesome Truth are the strongest challengers at this point. Miz & Truth have, surprisingly, great chemistry and have faced Air Boom a couple of times already, with both teams having a clean victory over the other. Having Miz & Truth go into Survivor Series taking on Rock & Cena while carrying the titles would be a nice rub, so long as Miz & Truth don't lose.

I hope WWE doesn't put Kofi into a handicap match or have him get a substitute partner or just plain take the titles due to some, kayfabe, stipulation where the champs have to defend their title at least once a month. It just has lazy booking written all over it.

Putting the tag titles on Awesome Truth is the best option they would look much stronger going into survivor series as champs and isn't it about time truth got some gold?

Have Kofi defend them solo with some "lucky" wins or DQ's, make the "conspiracy" screw Awesome Truth out of handicap wins.

Have someone very anti-Lauranitis fill in, I would of said Morrison, but I've heard reports he's not sticking around long, minus that report, Morrison would fit in well since he was the first person to assault Lauranitis verbally after he gained GM.

I absolutely hate the idea of putting the belts on Ziggler/Swagger or Awesome Truth. They're all already involved in a storyline. Awesome Truth with Rock/Cena, and Ziggler/Swagger with what seems to be an emerging heel stable, Ryder, Santino (to a lesser degree it seems), Mason Ryan (probably still somewhat ongoing after Ryan picks up a few wins). Also, I think that would kind of veer Ziggler off track from becoming a main event player.

This is exactly who I was thinking, and HAVE been thinking since the resurgence of the tag division. I still don't get why the only true tag team the WWE has isn't involved in this at all. And as far as not being able to tell them apart, that's a good thing. It would work in their favor and would be a great tactic for them to use to win and keep the titles.

I hate to admit it, but I could definitely see The Awesome Truth wining the titles before the Survivor Series. Mainly because if they dropped the belts to Cena and the Rock, it would give those two guys something to do to kill time before Wrestlemania. There are four or five months to go before the big showdown. There is only so many things that can happen before that match. Having them begrudgingly partner up for a few weeks seems like a logical stepping stone toward adding some heat and betrayal to the feud.

That or just ignore the fact that Bourne is suspended and go a month without a tag title defense. Its not like they have any other teams to face anyway. They're already over a week in, whats another twenty days?

Honestly, going a month without defending wouldn't seem like much. I mean, Michael Hennig (I refuse to spell out his given surname) and Otunga went months without defending.

thats because mcgillicutty and otunga were shockingly bad. that was probably the tag titles darkest hour. having mcgillicutty and otunga as champs was absolutely terrible. if the champs appear on superstars, thats not good enough. they were lucky to do that at all. at least air boom are mildly better than them. or at least were better than them. i would love to see Swiggler have the titles or Awesome Truth for SS. That would be so much better having AT being the best tag team in the WWE heading into SS vs the two biggest superstars of their generation. that would sell more, IMO

Make Bourne "injured" have Swagger and Ziggler win the tag titles then have Ziggler drop the US title to Ryder and when Evan returns have him and Kofi fued with Zigswagg have them win lose to airboom and have either Swagger or Ziggler turn face and have Ryder,Ziggler and Swagger fued for the US title (or just have Swagger fued with Ziggler for Vicky)

I just want the tag belts to stop looking like they were made of recycled pennies. As far as the belts, have a one on one, after you have Ziggler drop the US title to Ryder (come one, we all know it's coming) then you can have Dolph or Jack take on Kofi in a one on one match to get the belts. You could even have this happen at the end of Evan's suspension and have Evan accidentally cost Kofi the titles when he unexpectedly shows up. Just my thoughts.

While Evan is suspended why not have a number one contenders tournament rather than ignoring the fact that the titles exist?

Basically, you have the following teams...

Awesome Truth
Epico & Primo (or Hunico)
Hawkins & Reks
Percy Watson & Titus O'Neill
Swagger & Ziggler
The Usos

Give them TV time, the chances are Awesome Truth or Swaggler would win anyway but it would give some exposure to the fact that there are other teams in the WWE at the minute.

If you had 8 teams you could have an 8 team knockout tournament. It would show that the WWE are trying to rebuild the tag division. To add another 2 teams to the tournament, you have Alex Riley, Drew McIntyre, JTG, Michael McGillicutty, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Johnny Curtis, Justin Gabriel, Ted Dibiase, Trent Baretta, Tyson Kidd, Yoshi Tatsu. Pick 4 and package them as a team for the sake of the tournament. It'd be good, the type of thing you used to see regularly in WWE before they stopped caring about any title out with the top 2 singles titles.

You could make a team of Dibiase and McGillicutty, given that their fathers were in WWF at the same time you could run with a story of knowing each other as kids and It would be instantly believable.

The WWE will never do anything remotely good like a wwe tag title no1 contender tournament because the WWE dont know how to do ANYTHING remotely half assed outside of the ME scene. They tread water with even the ME.

They could make a quick aethesic change to Superstars and NXT and turn it into a mini brand of its own, where up and coming tag teams, divas & even possibly a TV championship division compete to get exposure and a better place on the card. With that they could set up a tag division worth watching and getting to know.

Camp Ziggler (although Ziggler will be in the ME soon enough)

Could even put Slater & Gabriel back together as a heel/face duo. Who know they can work together when they need to, just in aid of getting back the tag titles.. as holding a championship theoretically = more money. As the above poster said they could put any number of guys together for the sake of the tag division or tournament, there could be a sign up sheet backstage where it says the winners get a title shot on an episode of RAW or PPV and also 10,000 each.
